Good on you for knowing when to take a pause and choosing to continue the following day... most accidents can be prevented with some self awareness and sober appraisal of the situation.
We biked average mountain bikes from Port union rd and Lawrence Ave Scarborough to niagara 177 km total. Took us 12.5 hrs. Friend wanted to quit in Hamilton. Then it's a mind game. From the vineyards on it poured cats and dogs on us but we kept going w my phone in a zip lock clothes all drenched. It was more mental than physical. My previous max was 70km and I pushed 107km more. All in one day. Great accomplishment
Nice Job! You should do it again this year :D as for your breaks, you can just, nudge it back to centre. If tht's still rubbing, widen it by using the adjustment barels. I have the same bike. I find that, running 32 mm stock tires on them tend to leave less room. I swap them over with 25mm
What a great ride! I’d like to know what app you used for navigation….and did you get lost at any point in the ride? I live in Toronto so I would be doing it the other way around if i do this ride.
Great job! I would love to see a follow-up video where you give us advice on things you would have liked to know before you made the trip. I have a few questions of my own for example, what percentage of the route is well sheltered from the wind? I want to do this route sometime close to the end of the summer, I'm doing 50K at a time for now I don't know how much is enough to feel ready.
What route did you take? I'm going to gradually increase the amount I bike each day till I can do more than 40km a day if I really push it I bet I could do 60km. But I need to practice more I'd be really toddling along taking breaks in parks looking at everything
V nice. I was in Toronto for a conference in 2007, and I reted an ok bike to get around. Now I ant to go back and do your ridde, but will need a bertter bike than that prior rental. Any ideas? TY, Gfreat video!!

I did the same SOLO and Unsupported ride but from North York to Niagara Falls in late Summer of 2022 for about 9 hours...

Your bike is rubbing again on the 2nd day. Triban RC 100 tire clearance is 35, can’t go fatter than that.
Well done dude! I've wanted to do this for 25 years! However, I don't know the best route to get there. What route did you take?
I don’t even like driving that far. Lol. Good ride. I got tired watching that so no wonder you were done by Burlington
Hahah it is quite a far ride! Lots of nice scenery though :)
@@MattyFoOutdoors definitely a nice area to go through. Especially Niagara. Hamilton not so much
Where did you stay at night?
I had family close by so I stayed with them, although there is 50 Point Conservation close by if you wanted to camp

Honestly I just punched it in on Google maps and did the bike route option
My buddies and myself are planning to bike to Niagara too. We are planning to do in one day. Any specific bikepacking tips?
You'll definitely need to start early and make sure you pack plenty of fuel. Have fun on your trip
Love it! What camera and lens do you use?
Thank you! I shot this on my Canon RP and 16mm lens
@@MattyFoOutdoors Thanks! By the way, what nd filter do you use? Looks very good, there is no vignetting or color shift.
@@alantsao6152 no ND filter for this trip

hmm I'm not to sure about bike rentals in the Toronto area. you could alway-s2 buy one on FB Marketplace.
I've heard Gears bike shop in Toronto does rentals.
How is the Burlington to grimsby route ? Also any tips for the ride , planning on to do this in a day
Burlington to Grimsby is super flat and nice, after Grimsby it gets hilly in some spots. As far as tips go just check all your gear and don’t give up
It’s dangerous to ride a bike one handed as you show sometimes. I’ve done it and fallen due to unexpected bump. Never again. Be safe everybody.
LMAO
how long did it take u
I believe it took me about 8 hours I wasn’t really keeping track
crappy weather dude! Rain SUCKS!!!
