The sabbath issue among Christians even though the sabbath isn't an issue in itself is problematic in the interpretation of scripture. What I mean by that is that as time flies by it is more difficult to realize the lies that became "truth" and people now are not receptive to Rest and even more on resting the 7th day. Your video was intellectually honest. Hope that the body of christ will be aware of the need to come back to the old path. Sabbath was for men well beyond the Hebrew time. We need to rethink our understanding of scriptures in the religious and historic context. Let's educate ourselves.
Totally hit the mark on explaining the beauty of sabbath. It is God's eternal commandment, sign and gift for his people. I disagree with thinking that it isn't a sin if you don't keep sabbath. What is the definition of sin? Missing the mark, transgressing God's commandments. Just like "you shall not bear false witnesses aka lying" is a commandment so is keeping the sabbath. You wouldn't say God isn't going to get mad at you or think it's a sin to lie......so why is it sabbath is treated differently? We shouldn't treat any of His instructions/commandments differently or of less value. "When" does matter, God gave us the "when" so everyone/the body is unified. No one is working, everyone rests. "Six days you shall do your work, and on the seventh day you shall rest, that your ox and your donkey may rest, and the son of your female servant and the stranger may be refreshed." Exodus 23:12 This is also a foreign concept to most of the world.
@@TCS088 ALL of God's commandments and covenants are for His people. There is no Greek or Jew. "By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome." I John 5:2-3 "Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him." I John 2:3-4 You've misunderstood Paul as well. God's royal law (aka instructions) are the standard and are still in place to show us where we've fallen short. Sin (aka missing the mark, transgressing the law) still exists. The CURSE of sin (which is death) was nailed to the cross not the law. "Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law." Romans 3:31 "For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries. Anyone who has SET ASIDE the law of Moses dies without mercy on the evidence of two or three witnesses." Hebrews 10:26-28 You have a real problem if you say Paul said the law was done away with. He clearly states the opposite. Truth doesn't contradict otherwise it's not truth. Not only that, Yeshua and the Father did not abolish the royal law.

A modern day christian who understands the sabbath day. Very refreshing.
The truly rest is the Sabbath, because even Jesus keep the sabbath holy. If e did, we must to do too follow His steps.
Powerful teaching. I needed this. Thank you.
It’s like Rob Bell and NT Wright had a baby. All of the precision and forward thinking without the compromise.
Amen! Great sermon 🙏🏼

The Sabbath was a command to the Jews, not to Christians. As Paul said, the old law was nailed to the cross.

@@bgood1532 So you offer sacrifices? You burn incense? God commanded those too.
