    🔴Hey everyone, I hope you dig this demo video - it was pretty difficult to demonstrate the sound you hear with the headphones, but I hope you get the idea. For the record, I've still been using these everyday to practice songs for upcoming gigs and learning stuff on TH-cam - all without bothering anybody lol!
    *ALSO - Yes, you can simultaneously use Bluetooth audio with the guitar amp sound so you can jam along to streaming music, TH-cam videos, etc.

    To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.

    Appreciate seeing you demo these. I like the wireless ability to practice without bugging the rest of the family. It's one thing for me to play/jam with one of my small combo's, a whole other thing for someone to listen to me trying to figure out an 8 sec part of a song and playing it over and over and over again. Haha.

    Cool idea for a product and great review.
    I wish companies would really consider standardized replaceable batteries in these products. If the product itself lasts a few years, the batteries certainly won’t retain their full capability. And then what? Headphone shaped paperweight in your closet.

    Another thing that is that the connector won't work with all the guitars. I checked out Mary Spender's preview/review of it and she mentions 2-3 guitars that by default won't work with it and you need some extension for it. So before buying it make sure you might be in the clear, or buy an extension for it's bulky design. Great review, impressive how you managed to get us to hear the result!

    These things are awesome. They resolve my two main practice problems: damn near perfect amps that don’t have installed headphone jacks and crappy fake guitar tone through any installed (or wired via interface) headphones.
    I need headphones because my neighbors have sensitive eardrums.
    Sure this product could be less expensive but honestly I’d probably pay more than $400 for this type of surround realistic guitar tone.
    I’m thinking the future versions will have more user friendly options (dual charging cable, better battery life, actual specific pedal/amp choices, carrying case, more expensive feeling interface materials, in ear option vs on ear, etc) but I’d expect the price to increase because of those upgrades.

    • @RogerThat902

      Agreed. I love mine but it also feels like there are some low hanging fruit for Boss to add or clean up that would make it even better. The app is awful and makes it so I never want to use it much. On the one hand that's actually a good thing because I don't tweak I just play, but sometimes it does feel like you're missing out on some fun by hating tweaking via the app.

  • @purpleheartscott8553

    Expensive but worth it for convenience and being able to play without bothering others and still sounding great to the user.

    OMG, OMG, OMG! I've just bought a pair, and you left out (actually you didn’t. EDIT) the VERY most important part! Seems that the app connects to the phone / tablet thru Bluetooth midi, which means that you can still connect at the same time with Bluetooth audio! Another words you can play backing tracks into the phones while you play! The headphones can even apply effects to the tracks, so that you hear a band behind you, and they sound like their on the same stage. Think Motley Crue behind you in an arena, or RJ next to you in a more intimate venue... seriously the best part of this incredible device. For those who take online lessons, you can watch the video and stream the audio...and your wife will never know! Thanks for the review RJ!

      Hi Christian. Do you have any latency if you are watching a youtube video? Like you are watching a lesson in youtube and the sound comes with latency. If you say no, I am ordering one right now.....Thanks

    • @zzrwood
      @zzrwood 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jose Acosta I’m pretty sure the tiny amount of latency won’t matter on what is being streamed - unlike when trying to play guitar using Bluetooth headphones. I stream TH-cam and other video audio to the Boss Katana Air and play guitar using the same 2.4 ghz system this uses - works fine.

    • @JoseAcosta-ox4rq
      @JoseAcosta-ox4rq 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@zzrwood thanks for the response. I use Boss WL20 to connect guitar and amp and it is just perfect, so I assume this system will work the same between guitar and headphones. My concern is the bluetooth connection between phone and headphones. .i would have said that there would be a fair amount of latency there but according to your experience it seems not to be material. I am going to start putting the coins in a jar.....

    • @christianvanhorn8446
      @christianvanhorn8446 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey guys, I can check tomorrow, but I stream TH-cam into Bluetooth headphones every night with very little lag. I have tried building a Bluetooth guitar, and the ONLY way that it comes close to playable is with the AptX codec, meaning both transmitter and receiver need to have that codec built in. For one way streaming, music is no problem, and audio with video is barely perceptible...

I've tried a few of the headphones I use for youtube and ipad. The guitar stuff sounds great. What kind of headphones should we be looking for if we want to come the closest to the sound of our amps? Thanks.

    Having had a Katana before, I feel that these would be an Insta-Buy if you could turn off the Katana amp sim and run your own amp sim (Fractal, Helix, etc) into the effects & ambient simulation tech onboard. Wireless headphones for practice are a golden idea, I just don’t gel with the Katana sound. Too bad. If any other manufacturers are reading this, please consider this golden opportunity 😉😄

    • @AWMJoeyjoejoe
      @AWMJoeyjoejoe 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can do exactly that. Watch the Andertons video. They run a pedalboard through the headphones by plugging the wireless transmitter into the output and setting the headphone amp to flat/acoustic mode. That way you can run a helix/kemper/whatever through the headphones and still get the ambient stuff

      @@neastguy you could but they sound nothing like any other headphone experience. They are way less fatiguing and make it feel like you are in a big room by yourself with your amp cranked. I have had a few friends say that it felt like right when soundcheck is dialed and you are at full volume. My playing is different in these headphones. I play like I am on stage at all times which for me isn't the case at home. Price seems high until you spend a week with them. Not sure how a looper would work in them without a separate pedal. How would you trigger the loop on and off? Learning songs has become infinitely better and jamming to backing tracks on youtube makes you feel like you are apart of the song more. The problem with bluetooth headphones out of your amp is that the sounds slams you directly in the ears. These don't. There is space and feeling in the Waza's which I have never heard from any other headphone source. Find a shop that has a demo set and try them out for yourself.

    My only complaint (and its a small one) the transmitter is kinda jutting out from the guitar…. I could totally see myself getting all into it and breaking that off…

    I have these. Or this. I dunno they’re way over my head as far as how to use them. They sound ok I guess when you get that way too much reverb off

    07/24/2020: Hello, Tom from Orlando Florida. What is the dB level? I already have Tinnitus, so ai do not wish to damage my ears anymore. The following information was copied and posted here: Decibels & Damage Sound is measured in units called decibels (dB). Sounds of less than 75 decibels, even after lengthy exposure, are unlikely to cause hearing loss. However, extended or repeated exposure to sounds at or above 85 decibels (approximately the level of a vacuum cleaner) can cause hearing loss.

    It’d be cool if the audio you hear can be recorded through an in app built camera or something over a backing track.

    Do I have to use the on board modeling and FX? I'd rather plug the transmitter into the headphones out of the Helix.... or even into the headphones out of a focusrite interface. I imagine that should work. If so, would that 360°, amp behind you feature still work without using the modeling?

    With these, my wife allows me to play guitar with her in The house. It's funny. She used to find it attractive when I played. Same with when I go to work. She used to like my ambition.
    Anyways, I'm really lucky she let me buy them.

    • @AudaciousAce1989

      @@Thirst4livingwater Or just dont let a woman take charge of the marriage. People get married thinking that having equal importance in the relationship equals equal leadership roles. When the man, mans up and takes charge, and has a mindset of “I have the final say, I better make sure my decisions are good ones, with her in mind” is where you solve allot of issues with modern marriages. When you have the mindset of “ahaha I get to call all the shots woooooooo freedoooom” is where you have problems. In a good marriage, typically, the man is the leader, protecter, provider (for physical and emotional needs) the woman supports the man. But moderninity preaches that traditional marriage is oppressive to women , so now you have women being men, and men being women in marriage. And thats why modern marriages suck. You have the wrong person filling the wrong role in the relationship where neither are typically any good at the reversed role.
