I like to see the boss "fight" as a metaphor for absurdism. On one hand we have our protagonist, a meaningful being who is motivated by a life purpose (said purpose notably being spiritually/religiously inspired). On the other, we have the monster, a chaotic, meaningless being who does tings for no reason than it just is. The protagonist can't fight the monster, because you can't really fight the universe/meaninglessness. Then we have the protagonist getting swallowed by the monster, and getting his hand replaced by a claw for no reason; the absurd, born from the encounter of the expectation of meaning from a meaningful being and a meaningless universe.

@@miguelautistic7409 can you stop a tornado? The key point of absurdism and Nietzsche's philosophy is that the universe is a chaotic and random place. It possesses no intrinsic meaning or structure and attempting to go at it with a purpose will only leave you with a reminder of said absurdity. It's why Nietzsche hated Nihilism, because he believed if humanity were to have one too many run-ins with absurdity with worse and worse results, they would turn to meaninglessness and eventually the downfall of the entire human race. The whole point behind Absurdism is to live for the sake of it, to enjoy every bit of the day-to-day struggle the absurdity of the universe presents you, as attempting to fight against it is by definition meaningless. And even if you were to conquer the absurd, even if you revealed every underlying mystery of the universe, you would deprive humanity of the one greatest thing Nietzsche and the rest of humanity valued: the chaotic nature of the human mind, the wellspring of abstractions. In short, no. There is simply no way to kill it
the claw is not completely random because earlier in the game we are told the lobster claw is a sign of heroism which ties in to the protagonists whole arc of if he truly is a hero
@@MeatMan7718 I don't quite think that the claw was a message from the stars. While the mountain _do_ have the power to show the future, the whole religion/spirituality around it is rockman-made. The claw that appears in the sky is just showing the future. And while he becomes a hero, it's something of a self-fullfilled prophecy, as he start to go out of his way to become one.
ima tell that this soundtrack is perfectly made for that boss, it sound like even music got affected by him

This final boss represents/is a metaphor for cancer cells in a nutshell: "They don't have any objectives or wills. They just do what they are telled to in their corrupted code." This matches with "I cant help it. Everything I touch is returned to a state of disarray..." and "I do what must be done. I have no motives."
If the final cyriak-like boss is a cancer, isn't the astronaut-like being a medic?
Still, there are more things to clarify that the boss is _indeed_ cancer. One is the asteroid that hit the Collage World. The asteroid was obviously marked with a living eye. This eye remembers a cell nuclei. Since cancer cells have deformed structures and several corrupt cell nuclei, the fact that this monster has many eyes could be biologically accurate. I could also say that the shape of the monster (it's hands, the mouth) is kind of accurate because of the bizarre shape of cancer cells.
Since the reason of this boss is a asteroid, and cancer tumors can go from one organ to another, the Collage World's city could actually mean a body vital (since the place was a city) organ being invaded by a foreign cancer tumor. This is called metastasis, an *advanced cancer state*. The organ that most resembles a city is the brain, so that could represent a brain tumor.
And it is noticeable that the boss glitches the ground. Obviously, this is something cancerous. Cancer cells can invade other body tissues, making those lose their normal functions and go random.

I was trying to prove that, at least, this hypothesis makes some sense and that it could answer the question "what is this [the boss] or what does it mean?".
