New Gallivant Nida Fragrance Review (first impressions)

About me - I'm Claire and I live in the UK. My taste in perfumes is usually quite sweet but not too sweet, I love white florals but not tuberose so much. I like gourmands as long as they smell like perfumes still, I require my perfumes to change a little bit as I wear them ie not linear. I don't enjoy oud, leather, cumin, saffron or strong patchouli however there can be occasions where I do like perfumes with these notes if they are not too dominant. I enjoy most florals as long as they are backed up with something sweet or perhaps resins / insense. I tend to not enjoy anything very soapy. I also don't really enjoy very green fragrances. I am averse to overdoses of ambroxan and iso E super (timbersilk or similar) just because I find it annoying! I have no problem with synthetics in perfumery but I do enjoy perfumes that have some notes that at least smell like they could be from nature. My favourite type of perfumery is indie and I love Francesca Bianchi, Teone Reinthal, 4160 Tuesdays and Papillon Artisan Perfumes.

Hello. What a lovely review, thank you. How would you asses the longevity of this perfume? By the way, I am from the Baltics and have vacationed in Nida a number of times. The landscape there can be described as - calm, pristine, quiet, meditative, untouched. Beaches in Nida have very fine, soft yellow sand that does emit a warmed-salty-mineraly fragrance when it heats up in the late summer time. And the Baltic amber (as in the one used for jewellery) does not have any/much fragrance at all as a hardened resin. But the fresh pine resin that amber comes from does have a sweet and slightly bitter coniferous smell.

Sunflower accord caught my attention! I’m imagining something nutty or wheat-like, maybe with a jonquil or narcissus type floral note. ☀️ Intrigued! I did hear a few years ago, not sure if this is what you’re referring to, a new resinous fragrance material made from amber was created that’s different from the amber accord (labdamum, benzoin, vanilla etc). I think I heard it from Dana Sandu an editor at cafleurebon.com/

I really enjoy Gallivant fragrances! Love the bottle, gives me summer vibes. It sounds refreshing, I agree that it would be nice for Gallivant to come out with a bit more feminine fragrance, as their line is primarily unisex. Thanks Claire, lovely review!!⭐️🌸🦋
