Also, it the same niche over and over and over again! There are so many niche perfumes that have been around for quite a while and truly are different and cool. However, having said that I totally love designer and in particular Chanel Exclusives so YAY!

Prada Iris is BEAUTIFUL. So comforting, clean, fluffy, feminine.
Prada Candy was like my signature scent when I was 16/17. And back then the longevity was really good, I would spray it on in the evening, party the whole night and when I woke up the next morning I could absolutely still smell it on my skin.
I've said it before and it is still true for me.... Mon Guerlain is the ultimate feminine fragrance to me! Zen is effervescent and fun, effortless and happy! And Alien is my first true love, absolutely amazing!
Mon guerlain is my ride or die. I always get compliments and when I dont know what to wear that's my go to. It's magic. Alien is always in my collection. I go through stages of loving it and giving it a break but it always comes back around. I have always wanted to try zen and have it back on my wishlist after this video. My Prada candy is now my 15 year old daughters favorite so I'm letting her have it.

I’ve been seeing so many influencers dog out Designer, Arabic, and celebrity fragrances while Designer fragrances are my absolute fave. So happy to see this and hopefully this can spark a change in the perfume community and force the niche houses to do better.❤
I completely agree! Niche was the vibe a few years ago when most people were wearing the same designer fragrances and niche brands were mysterious to a general public. Nowadays niche became the new mainstream and designer/ lux perfumes are appealing again.
I had a love affair with designer last year, and yes so many are nostalgic and some are gone forever. Chole Nomade Absolu is one of my top 10 for life, recently discontinued and i have 2 back up bottles. I used to wear Infusion d’Iris in my early twenties. It was my signature back in the day. I still wear it from time to time. Glorious.
We are in the same era, coming back to designer❤❤❤ and same tastes! Please say to Mugler to give again Angel Muse❤

Muglers Angel✨ will forever hold a special place in my heart. I know the scent is quite polarizing. it broke all of the fragrance rules of the early 90s and was completely unapologetic. It was as if Mugler bottled the essence of Gen X during the 90s. Every time i wear it, it transcends me to a different time & place. Bittersweet.

I love so many designers!! Carolina Herrera good girl blush drives my man insane, NR Musc Noir Rose, Valentino donna born in Roma 😩 (hate that is soooo popular but for a good reason!), dior addict, Chloe Nomade naturalle, Chloe roses de Chloe, the og mon Guerlain and the intense, and not sure if they count but kayali the wedding silk santal and vanilla 28!! That’s my whole designer collection and I think I would repurchase every single one of them when they run out!

Prada Infusion D’Iris was my scent back in the 2010’s. I’m going to have to repurchase now! I also miss the original Banana Republic W scent that came out in the 90’s that and Angel were my two high school perfumes. So much nostalgia with this video. Thanks for reminding me of my perfume roots!
Thank goodness! I’ve been feeling so overwhelmed, exhausted, and a little disappointed from the relentless output of niche releases… I just want beautifully composed perfumes that personally resonate and-most importantly-that don’t disappear after an hour😢.
Sadly, many of the niche fragrances I have “invested” in are high maintenance-super expensive and quickly become skin scents, requiring repeated applications throughout the day to maintain the aroma.
I recently reconnected with designer fragrances after being gifted a bottle of Devotion-wow, it is such an intoxicatingly yummy, all day stunner. Love NR’ Musc Rose, too -so reasonably priced!

I live in Tokyo, so Zen is an easy and super appropriate option for me-my first ever fragrance purchase was Shiseido’s Feminite du Bois, sadly, the Serge Luten version lacks the depth and allure of the original. Based on your comments, I’m going to reconnect with Zen tomorrow- I first tried it about 20 years when it was in the original black bottle. 😊

I totally agree with your thoughts on niche fragrances. I was in Las Vegas over the weekend and tried several niche brands and none of them made me as happy as my Devotion!!

I couldn't agree more with you on niche right now. Not only are they either terrible or just redundant,but the prices are just getting out of hand. Ive seen "niche snobs" lol doing 180 and going back to designer or just dupes or middle eastern...right now im finding that either very small niche brands are still thought out and great like for instance January scent project their perfumes are all so beautiful and unique especially Selperniku. But im finding middle eastern scents are now dominantating the perfume world coming in close is dupe houses..

YES!!! I feel the exact same way about the niche perfume industry as you do! Since the start of summer I have been into designer fragrances again and in truth I find that many of them (especially those from the late 90s and early to mid 00s) are done better and are way more unique than current niche ones!
I’m just so happy I’m not the only one feeling this way cos I thought it might be the first signs of aging 😂😅

I love the new Valentino Donna Green Stravaganza, its a classic perfume smell with a crisp freshmess but sweet and slightly floral..slightly fruity..its gorgeous! All year around, but probably leaning warm weather

Prada Infusion D'Iris is my go-to everyday. Love love it! Even better was the Absolu version of this scent. Heaven! Now discontinued and impossible to find.

Designer fragrances are the ones I can keep coming back to over and over again, and wear them for comfort . And I agree with you on growing tired of niche . Too much coming out for sure , with nothing original to show for it. They just come and go

You’re absolutely right about the niche world right now. They’re not really thought out at all. It’s really just about over consumption. The new releases they’re coming out with have been mediocre. I’m just not impressed. I did get a sample of palatine, and although it’s light and pretty, it is a bit underwhelming. I do like it though and my husband does too. It’s just so aggravating every time I get on TH-cam theirs 20 new fragrances almost every single time that are coming out. They say they don’t want you to spend your money on them, yet they encourage if you do to use their discount code lol. I just wish they would slow down. Actually appreciate the ones you have instead of throwing 20-50 different releases in our faces at once.

I love Barenia too. It reminds me of the elegant and feminine fragrances from like 20 years ago, but in a good way. For me, it definitely stands out among all the other current releases, which smell very similar to my nose.

I have headaches and can feel sick from certain perfumes and I avoided perfumes intensely (had only Burberry beat and still love it to death) but then one day I walked in a perfume store, smelled Nomade in the air (it just came out) walked straight to the cashier and said take all my money what is this perfume in the air???? (She sprayed herself before I walked in)
Chloe Nomade Jasmin Naturel Intense is a chameleon. It was not a love at first sniff but has become a favorite.
She smells good in the cooler weather too- more sweet and woody. I’m feeling it in this New England transitional weather. In the warmer weather I pick up on that creamy coconut you mentioned especially the more this perfume sits- I believe that’s coming from the mirabelle note?

I love Infusion D'Iris! And I have 3 bottles of Angel Muse, and I finished one already..
I would add Chanel #5 but VINTAGE. The IFRA restrictions ruined it. There was something animatic in it and it has legs. I have an 80's EDC and it lasts 12 hours at least..
I got a new Ulta catalog and it had D and G Devotion sample. I could smell it as soon as I opened the catalog. Totally my vibe. I’ll be purchasing it.

Have to try some of these. Mon Guerlain is a classic for me. I don’t wear it often lately, but it has a great projection on me. Unfortunately, I am not a Jazz Club fan but I do understand the appeal. I’m also into the Prada Infusions. Super fresh and easy to wear.
I am an absolute niche-girl and love weird, edgy scents.
But at the moment I like and buy classic scents, cheaper scents and even celebrity scents 😅

Designer fragrances are created by master perfumers. No wonder, that they are great. If they put good quality ingredients into them, they are the best.
And this is the whole point why some designer fragrances are as good as niche or better - the same people are creating them

My all time fav designer scent is Gucci Envy Me and sadly has been discontinued for sometime now😢 I wish they would bring it back if only for a moment so I can get a bottle! Yes! I’ve always been loyal to my designer fragrances, as niche options were often out of my budget. Let’s bring designer fragrances back! It seems like niche has shifted to being more about “position” than the actual scent.
me too. I never was into designer. I started out with niche right from the beginning 15 years ago but I am really tired of it now. They are all copies of copies right now and they are all the same. I am also currently in my designer era and really excited to try out everything that I have snobbishly dashed in the past. I especially love alot (discontinued) designers from the 2000-2015 era

I am in my " finish the bottle of perfume before you buy a new one". 😂 I love all the perfumes mentioned. Niche are way too expensive and some of them are quite overrated. Angel Goddess Intense is one of the most complimented perfumes I own.
I prefer By the Fireplace to Jazz Club but YES both are super addictive.
