Uzbekistan 🇺🇿, my land of birth, loves Bukhara, a beautiful silk road important city. I love this fragrance as well. It's delightful that Iris celebrates culture of silk road Bukhara iris (Iris bucharica) ● This yellow and white flower, which grows up to 40 cm, is in bloom in April and May. It originates from Central Asia. A hardy plant, it is best suited to soils which are neutral or slightly alkaline and it likes full sun. It grows well in clumps in rock gardens and raised beds. Its scientific name is derived from the golden-winged Greek goddess, Iris, the personification of the rainbow and messenger of the gods.
I’ve been enjoying the Gallivant sample set so this video is perfect timing. Not a bad one in here. Tokyo is my favorite and I also happen to be a fan of Comme des Garçons fragrances 😄
Joe is ny favorite guest on this channel! I definitely want to try Bukhara! I lived in Naples when I was in a NATO unit and to me the scent of the city was trash on the streets and sex workers in cheap perfume! 🤣
So happy you did this video! I've seen this house around for a long time but no one ever talks about them. I've been curious whether or not they were good or not. Looks like I need to get my nose on Naples, Bukhara, and Istanbul. Thanks for sharing!
I've been visiting Ghana since the 1990s. The way the locals pronounce Accra is quite unique. There's an elevation on the second 'a', almost the same way you'd pronounce 'Dakar'.
My favorites are LA, London, and Naples. LA comes off great with the fruity and there’s a bit of something fall/winter vibe in there that makes me think of an ocean view balcony with a spicy candle in the background. It lasts so long on me. London comes off clean ozonic. It lasts. The violet is so strong on my skin. TMI but this helps with BO 😅Naples incense heavy with a sweet orange lingering. I like to mix it with labdanum and some dark rose. Omg yes please!! I did find that some of them. Istanbul and Gdansk have good moderate longevity.
So interesting to hear your thoughts on Gallivant fragrances! They offer a little sample set of 6 fragrances, which is a great way to try out what they have to offer. I am still undecided but probably drawn to Gdansk (not in the sample set), Tokyo, Istanbul, and Bukhara. I had hoped to see more oud-esque notes in Abu Dhabi though, which feels a tad more masculine to me. So difficult to decide though!
I really love these house videos Sebastian. Great job as usual. I don't have any of these but have been checking them out.Very informative and entertaining. Thx
Unless the perfumer for Brooklyn took a time machine back to the 1600s when the Dutch founded Brooklyn and the wild plants smelled like creamy citrus, I don't see the connection to the borough. I guess it's called fantasy or imagination but not reality,
Never been a big fan of the brand, but it's based on the image alone, I've just smelled Amsterdam , didn't do much for me 😬 Need to try Bukhara and Istambul. Thanks for the video guys!!!
I actually got to meet Nick Steward earlier this year at Etiket when he visited the shop and we got to smell Accra at the event when it hadn't even been officially launched yet. I would rank them in this way... 13.Tel Aviv 12,Abu Dhabi 11.Brooklyn 10.Amsterdam 9.Accra 8.London 7.Bukhara 6.Berlin 5.Gdansk 4.Naples 3.Los Angeles 2.Istanbul 1.Tokyo
@@ThePerfumeGuy I enjoy the fruitiness of Los Angeles. I think it's the freesia note in Tel Aviv that turns me off. I struggle with it quite a bit. Not a floral that I enjoy much at all.
Accra is good but a bit strange at the same time. The mid to drydown is better. The tropical fruits in the opening are a bit challenging but the longer it dries, the better it gets. @@MrCy101
I tried all of their fragrances. I really struggled with Amsterdam (unusual) and Bukhara (so dry), but I enjoyed the cool woody, aromatics of Abu Dhabi and Tokyo. There was a dna running through quite a few of the more citrusy fragrances that I didn't jive with

Sex workers and cheap perfume are a great combo. LOL. 😂
yes - there is *that* side of Naples - .... part of the charm and unique raucous atmosphere of the place@@ThePerfumeGuy

Glad you enjoyed it!
I was expecting Accra to be fully Gourmand Cocoa. Ghana is the 2nd Largest cocoa producer in the world
Another great video! You and Joe together, such a great vibe always! Does Joe have a TH-cam channel too?
Never heard of this brand, but Istanbul sounds right up my alley. Thanks for a great video to you both, as usual you rock!
Istanbul is good. I have gone through a 30 mlliliter bottle and would love a 100ml bottle if it comes in the 100. Great video Sebastian.

Great video and I enjoyed it and me and my wife are going to try these fragrances and have a blessed night

Thanks for the review of this house, Sebastian and Joe! I didn’t know much about it at all, and a few of these are definitely worth checking out! ❤
I believe bukhara in uzbekistan was part of the silk road, perfume wise i guess its iris what's its known for😊
love this ! thank you both very much. fantastic duo. that was a pleasure to listen to, sitting in London with a cup of lady grey tea !
Glad you enjoyed it! And nice to see you in Dubai and hang out with The Plum Girl!! ;)

Don't like Iris in parfume, but like City of Bukhara with so much culture. Very old city, part of silk road as others have mentioned
for me it's probably Bukhara, Istanbul & Accra (the most unique though) > the others
I love Joe and I also love Gallivant! Perfect. I own Gallivant Amsterdam and love it but it doesn't remind me of Amsterdam at all.
Now when Sebastian really likes a scent I’m wondering if it will be in the next scent club kit😊
Great video as always. Definitely the best guest you're had on the channel
I am not familiar with the house but Istanbul sounds good 😍
Bukhara is such a beautiful fragrance! I’m an iris lover and this is such a unique interpretation. On the fence if I buy a bottle
Joe rocking a stache talking about rubber in Berlin. Keep talking….😂

I would rank them in this way...

9.Accra
8.London
7.Bukhara
6.Berlin
5.Gdansk
4.Naples
3.Los Angeles
2.Istanbul
1.Tokyo
Very interesting re Tel Aviv being so low and Los Angeles so high? I personally do not get LA! But noses are different! ;)
How did Accra smell like. That's where I'm from and I wanna get me one

My favorite is Istanbul, I got a sample of it and after smelling immediately purchased a bottle! 😁
thank you !
Nice seeing you again Joe 🙌🙌❤️
Thanks for this video ! Would like to see a complete frangrances review of the brand Jul et Mad one day 😉
Lovely video, I always so look forward to these 🥰

Mmmmmmmmmm Joe is BACK! Yum. Still jealous that Sebastian has such a cutie!
Ok but can we finally get to follow Joe on social media?
