    Master cabin stairs completely gobbles up all the extra space created by the asymmetric side decks.the opening port sliding door to the side deck further erodes the internal living space of the saloon. puts it into the "why bother" category. on the other hand the fit and finish looks stunning.

    • @markszulc1182

      Agreed. If you're stealing space for stairs, steal if from the kitchen not the saloon. The reduced interior space really takes away from the fabulous design of the bow.

    Nice video. Slower camera panning or the use of transitions when aligning the next shot would make it even nicer. One third to one quarter of the speed of how you would gaze with your eyes is a good guide. Looking forward to seeing how the next video turns out. 👍

    Very interesting and nice looking yacht. Love the lines and windows. Nice bathing platform with good storage. Would not want a crew cabin on sub 80 foot yacht. Would prefer it for storage and spare head by the platform. Nice saloon and cabins. Decent flybridge. I think I would use pods myself. Thanks for the tour Jack. 😊

    Great tour Jack….. surprised you had to coincide with the photographer, who, without saying or doing anything wrong, managed to convey his irritation with your being on the boat…..
    I would have assumed he could have gone for a coffee and chilled whilst you did your thing……
    The crew cell was a little bleak, but on a fairly small craft I suppose it was adequate. I would stick my teenage son in there, as I know he would prefer it….. Also, perfectly usable as a store as is, with a handy heads for using whilst lounging nearby….. 😎

    Hit it out of the Park !!! Very Good Job Jack -o ! Going to the3 states - good news !! Rainfall Shower Head is nice. Tall Boats are nice, you after all buying VOLUME when you buy a boat like this. Can you upgrade to 715HP on the vdrive model ? That would be less strain. Thanks a bunch for getting the "scoop" on the other channels - Nick is Jealous ! I went back and looked at the profile of the yacht - Prestige nailed it, moving the flybridge forward would use some space, but it would ruin the looks.

    Well that's a bit of shock, a really beautiful Prestige. Gorgeous fixtures and fittings and the outdoor spaces are spectacular. It's a pity that the extra beam created by the asymmetric side decks is lost to the master cabin stairs. All in all though, a lovely boat.

      I never understood the need for a dedicated master staircase on yachts below 100feet. Especially if owner operated like mostvof the 60ft are.

    X-class so Spearfish Mod 1 torpedoes, Oerlikon 20mm cannon, 2 M-134D miniguns, 2 Browning M2 .50 caliber heavy machine guns and 2 Mark19 40mm grenade launchers, plus 1 Stern mounted AGM-119 (Penguin) or 1 stern mounted RGM-84 (Harpoon) anti-ship missile system. Prefer the galley & main deck layout on the 590, but the fly bridge and foredeck of the x60. I also agree re the silly shower access from the wardrobe, surely it would be better to seal that so that your clothes don't get affected by the steam.

    I really like the look of this boat and a great tour, but is a range of 250nm really "decent"?

    • @darthkek1953
      @darthkek1953 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's at 20 knots, and yes way more than most people who buy this type of boat will ever need. By a long shot. That gives 12 uninterrupted hours passage-making at 20 knots. Nobody - who is in the market for THIS KIND of boat - is going to do more than that per day.

    • @lordbongonaba
      @lordbongonaba 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It has the look of something that should do 4 digit range. At least it would be nice to have a long ranger option with a top speed in the teens.

    • @darthkek1953
      @darthkek1953 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@lordbongonaba it has the look of a planing flybridge cruiser which means 250 to 300 miles is 100% typical. You start adding more fuel capacity you starting adding weight that will prevent it getting on the plane. "It's physics, Jim"

    • @lordbongonaba
      @lordbongonaba 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@darthkek1953 I sort of knew that when I heard the X were based on existing yachts, but I just wished for more range. A semi displacement hull maybe. Perhaps in the future. Magellanos and Sundecks give you speed and range, just not the looks.

    • @darthkek1953
      @darthkek1953 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lordbongonaba Azimut Magellano has more than twice the tankage, but it doesn't have a planing hull. And that's the point. If you want a displacement or semi-displacement cruiser, they exist. If you want a faster planing sports (or sportyish) cruiser, they also exist. Prestige are for the "local water caravan" market, not cruisers.

    In all seriousness, this is gorgeous boat. She might have replaced the Sirena 58 as my favorite in this range. Oceanclass by Greenline 68 replaced Sirena 68. However the Sirena 88 has defeated the CL88, and the FD87. Bering 77 wins that class around 75 ft. Bering 140 and Numarine 37XP are my two faves of all time.

  • @darthkek1953

    The downside of asymmetric side decks is cleaning and detailing the sides, you sometimes see deckhands on such charter yachts with abseil ropes to clean it. You might not be able to get a Sunseeker or Princess of the same size at this price, but perhaps Galeon would have a competitive model & price.

    First, love the channel and watch every vid
    But
    I think what the euro boat builders are doing is pardon the pun but reinventing the wheel.
    In Australia there are builders like Maratimo, and riviera who are harnessing an enclosed fly bridge, not flappy plastic clears actual enclosed - and then no lower helm - thus if your passage making regardless of weather your doing that and when your “ parked” then every inch of space is offered to that.
    When it comes to boats it’s not the real estate you can cover it’s the real estate you have to fund transportation over thus it’s not the space but how you use it.
    I know I’m biased being an Aussie but it can’t be wrong if these giants in my part of the world are selling boats.

    • @CitizenMio
      @CitizenMio ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not only about being really enclosed, it's also about height. If you have no lower helm it will suck when the weather and seas go bad, which is quite likely in Europe at least.

    Certainly different, lovely in some areas like the foredeck and much of the furnishings but to many gimmicks to make it different. I can just purchase a 590 and throw in $250k worth of additional modifications and make it 10x better.

  • @johnmichaelmorrow1589
    @johnmichaelmorrow1589 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Most innovative in its class? NOPE! I will the design language and material choices were cosmetically stunning for this size boat, but that’s about it. Iwant to like this boat, but there are just a few problems: they made the saloon asymmetrical to give more space… then wasted that extra space adding a private entrance to the master stateroom, which is totally unnecessary in my opinion. Next, at least with this specific boat the layout of the fore deck was awesome, but the aft deck’s functionality was underwhelming; same thing goes for the Flybridge, it was very underwhelming. The layout, usability, and wasted space up there was disappointing. Overall great idea, but needs better execution.

    The quality of the build is nice but the design looks like it was made by Lego. Too many pieces parts , the flow is awkward , But I’m sure it will appeal to other people. Just not me. I also don’t like when owners who can’t or won’t drive their own yacht and rely on a staff, design the staffs retreat as a pitiful last resort”. “ oh the captain who runs this whole thing lives in a space so small because our water toys deserve better treatment. Very disrespectful design, but very typical of people with money”. Do the very least for the help”

  • @remocarrer3098
    @remocarrer3098 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    most innovative? No, its not by far! There is a company in Dubai they build cats. 7000 litres of fuel and 3000 to 5000 miles of range! And i am pretty sure its just the beginning!! This here is just another waste of ingeneer capacity, thinking in boxes. Its a nice boat, no doubt, but these companies dont see the future, what will come! Speed isnt important, range is it!!! And how less fuel they consume! Finally stop using combustine engines and think outside the box like Silent or Sunreef!

    For boats that cost in the millions to buy I have a very legitimate gripe: the furniture is complete garbage and it looks like it too, these boat builders selling boats for over a million dollars should be ashamed of themselves for providing such eye worthy low income furniture, not all of them but over 70% of them, this boat has horrible furniture. 🤮🗑💯
