One of my theories is that there are multiple people who killed Ben, but each doing something small that wouldn't kill him, except in the culmination of all of it, it does, like a domino effect. So they're all to blame, but they're also all blameless. 🤷♀️
I was reminded of the Tim Kono case, too. We never did find out who, in the police dept, supressed the evidence. That case was closed, just like Ben's case is closed. Since D. Williams is returning(at the theater, she says someone in this room is a murderer), so, I'm thinking new information/evidence has been discovered that's caused her to reopen the case.
So far, I still feel that Tobert is working for Cinda Canning.

I love your fresh outlook on this! Dickie killing two birds with one stone and getting revenge on both Ben and Loretta makes sense. Assume Dickie is mentally unstable. People grief in different ways and I don't judge Dickie. It's just there is no way he didn't hear Tobert and Mabel hiding in Ben's closet.
Assume Dickie despises actors. Thinks they are toxic, arrogant, entitled, diva-like, vain, insufferable, reprehensible. Was it an insult to him that his mother gave him up to pursue this particular career, fame and fortune?
Wouldn't it be boring though? If Dickie turns out to be the killer? I mean so many people draw attention to him.. almost everyone considered him at some poict (except the trio which is weird indeed)
I've seen that the evidence board is moved to Charles apartment, so you may be right that Mabel moves in with Charles. I'd hope that she does get to stay with either Charles or Oliver, at least until there's some other way she does get to have her own apartment in the Arconia. Oliver did stay in Mabel's apartment(season 1).
I've been waiting for you to post your video so I can share my theory this week. From day one I've had a main suspect and with this episode im convinced I know who killed Ben Glenroy...it was Dickie!. Here's my reason, as mentioned throughout every episode there has been a reference to a Shakespeare play and this episode the play was Richard II. In the synopsis of the play it says Richard is responsible for his brother's murder. Dick/Dickie is a nickname for Richard. Now question is was he the ONLY murderer, perhaps not but he is definitely at the top of the list. Could he and Loretta have done it together or could he have done it to protect her?
I think one small thing you can do for your videos is add the breaks and descriptions of "summary" and "theories". For someone like me, I watch the show twice so I know it well and dont need the recap. But I enjoy coming to your chan to hear your insights and theories of what was shown and what it means.
You have great insights on this episode. I completely missed the Gypsy reference. That said, I really don’t think Dickie killed Ben to frame Loretta. I don’t think that’s how abandonment issues resolve. But I do think he did it.
Also, my dad and I have similar handwriting. Our Ws, Ss, and Js are exactly the same. Maybe it was Dickie and not Loretta who wrote the message?

I think that Dickie is Loretta's son, yet she thinks it's Ben.

But it was an accident.
KT is Dickie's sister, his twin, and thus Loretta's child, also.
KT found that out, and given the way Ben treated Dickie, she decided to eliminate Ben ... within the play. She wanted to be a director ans so she planned a great exit for Ben

I think all the notes we saw till now are written by Dickie...
1. The notes with the kerchiefs, Dickie could have written on behalf of Ben
2. Loretta's diary could be something from Dickie ( could be related to the grey's anatomy type spin off Loretta was headed to LA for)
The only real place we could have seen Loretta's handwriting would be the sign in sheet which we didn't see...
So i think either Dickie wrote the fucking pig or Ben himself....
So does you new theory factor in Dickie taking on Loretta as a client and get her work a some new TV show? I mean, that would be a way to be extra mean. Perhaps Dickie lied about the new opportunity to Loretta just to crush her ever harder?
