- Welcome back to Friends Pick Friday! Today we have fantastic guitarist Ian Moore in the shop, and of course a couple of really great guitars to check out! Originally from Austin, Texas, Ian has been 'living' on Vashon Island for the last twenty years - but in reality he's on the road most of the time both recording and performing.
After looking around the shop for a bit, Ian was drawn to three guitars - a 1955 Fender Stratocaster, 1972 Fender 'Tuxedo' Telecaster, and something a bit less traditional - a Zero Aluminum Guitar by our friend Gene Nygard! Naturally, a killer 1967 Deluxe Reverb was chosen for amplification.

Music: The Hollers "Zeb" (Instrumental)
Last night at Sam's in San Antonio. Happy, free, and loose. Thanks again for this series and have him back.
Nice playing. My first guitar was a 1954 Stratocaster. Got it for Christmas in 1963. Lost it out the window of my brother's station wagon early one morning in July of 1965. Have grieved ever since.
Been a fan since the 90s. such soul in his voice and playing. Love this cat. Truely a hidden gem!!
Saw him in Austin in the 90’s amazing guitarist
Been a fan of Ian since October 28, 1990 (it was my 21st birthday) when I saw him on the river walk in San Antonio, all dressed up like SRV. Amazing player, great songwriter and a voice from the gods. Come to Portland, OR more often.
Another guitar icon that is a must see is Philip Sayce. If you have a chance to see either don't miss out.....
Bad ass player
texas guitar hero for anyone who's seen him! so so happy y'all did this with him!
I saw Ian Moore several times back in the late 90s when he would come through Birmingham. Killer player.
Love this guy!!
Plays with the ashtray on! Nice.
Check out not in vain....that song floors me
