But she has not been given any participation trophy in Paris, and nobody have suggested it either. Because she sucked. Perhaps there are better breakdancers who failed or couldn't be arsed to participate in the national qualification competitions? Idk. It's nothing unusual that happens.
But Sky News and Sky Sports Australia still have women in pink power suits who are given the task of raging and being snarky over some non sequitur. It's the terrific standard of satire you typically would see in drag shows (which Australia is very good at just because they have a bit of a macho culture). But viewing it as "reporting" is just as lousy as Raygun's dance performance.

She girl she beat Molly was way better, actually had dynamic moves but was heavily penalised for repeating some of the moves from previous rounds and the Oceania championships aren’t really a true indicator of talent. The problem is it’s set up in a way that you need to accumulate points to qualify and most breakers simply can’t afford to travel around the comps.
I’ve seen heaps of Raygun’s routines and she’s better than her Olympic routine showed, it was honestly god awful choreography but she also lacks a lot of the athleticism and agility that you see from the top competitors, she came from a ballroom dancing background so she’s simply just not much of an athlete

Why don't we introduce other sports like watching paint dry, speed knitting, darts, how long one can hold their breath, bird watching, building legos, face painting, speed shopping on ice, kit flying, catching butterflies, walking backward and let's see who blinks first. All of them are in the non-exciting mold of break dancing, what a joke.

    1. Lack of self awareness
    2. Narcissism
    3. Friends at right places
This is the inevitable outcome of inclusion over merit. The only thing"Raygun" showed is that she has no idea what she's doing. And how they try to defend her by claiming that all criticism and mockery of her is sexism and misogyny is just pathetic and idiotic. Meares making it about gender discrimination and having courage is wild. Also, if this is art for her then she should be at an art expo but I'm quite sure they wouldn't let her in.
The fact that she was allowed to participate in the Olympics is like letting people who don't can't swim at all participate in swimming. But who knows, the Olympic Games may in the future make reality of Monty Python's old sketch "Silly Olympics" where one of the disciplines is the 200 meters breaststroke for non-swimmers (where the commentator after the starting shot informs "we'll be bought back there when the corpses are fished out").

Having said that she beat a young girl named Molly Chapman in the qualifying even though Molly was clearly the more talented dancer she also got heavily penalised for repeating some moves from previous rounds. The real issue is how the Oceania championships are formatted where you need to earn qualification points from comps, most breakers just don’t have the resources to travel around competing for $0 prize money

I think this is why Raygun's abysmal performance has people annoyed (while simultaneously pissing themselves). Ms Gunn simply lacks the skill and athleticism to legitimately represent Australia at such an elite level as the Olympics, and people are tired of seeing hubristic opportunists inserting themselves in positions they meritocratically don't belong; usually at the expense of others who possess superior talent and work at least as hard; and usually enabled by fawning sycophants who applaud their averageness and wheel out poor-quality arguments in stroppy defence when anyone rightly observes that they suck.
