- A terrifying stash of weapons bound for Britain's streets has been seized after police dismantled a gun-running operation. Among the 25 firearms confiscated in Albania were rapid-firing Glock pistols and a Kalashnikov assault rifle.
The weapons, along with hundreds of rounds of ammunition, were intended for Albanian gangs in Britain embroiled in violent turf wars over drugs and prostitution in London.
The Albanian State Police, in a dramatic raid, found the arsenal ready for shipment in a suburb of Tirana on Thursday.
Masked and armed officers stormed the property, uncovering the deadly cache.
Working alongside the UK’s National Crime Agency, Albanian police arrested five suspects as investigations continued. Warrants have also been issued for three more men linked to the gang, who remain at large in the UK.

I was at the Liverpool protest today. It was peaceful, with lots of families and people singing along to Beatles songs. Then the police literally escorted the hundred or so antifa idiots right onto the protest. The police started the trouble today. The police chief of Liverpool should be brought to account!

I’m ex-army in the Irish troubles yesterday it’s terrifying. But the police have been brutal and often they appeared to have started the violence. Hitting people just standing doing nothing wrong with shields and batons. I no problem the police doing this to rioters but people doing no wrong is a crime. I attended the Peaceful Save Our Children rally in Liverpool today abd I felt proud to attend. Next minute, the Police come down the hill surrounding and escorting a rabble riot to come down where we, the peaceful people, were about to finish. Clearly, it was a deliberate attempt to antagonise us. But, I am so proud of the people who did not retaliate, just chanting, no violence until this group was then escorted back up Water Street. It did not have the effect the group wanted. BUT....they (the group) kicked off towards Peaceful Supporters as they were dispersing and going home. It was DEFINITELY orchestrated.
