      @@TYoung023 I remember going into a job interview 10 years ago saying "I knew everything there is to know about Excel!".... to be young and naïve. Now? Oofth.... I'm convinced even the developers don't know all there is to know about Excel. I promise you don't need to justify your expertise to us TH-cam commenteres. The simple fact that you are commenting on an excel video on TH-cam most definitely on your free-time means that you're a class above most. Keep on learning babe.

    • @TYoung023
      @TYoung023 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@JunkyJane I’ll never stop. In my experience, my knowledge of Excel has had a correlation to everything else I’ve ever learned..combined. I can learn some new function or method in Excel so well that I can make it do somersaults…and then 5 years later I have to learn half of it over again. New Excel knowledge has pushed out some of the old! 😆. That definitely helps to make it endless!

    Thanks a lot. Just wanted to pointed 2 things. When grouping sheets together, need to be very careful not to forget to ungroup once done, otherwise you mess up all the sheets with unwanted changes. Using new window option to open a file twice is very very handy but if you use freeze panes, you will see that the file -2 will not have any freeze panes unlike file -1. If after using the files and you close the file-1 and then save and close file - 2. You would basically saved the file without any freeze panes. So the trick is to always close the second file, file-2. I had a lot of instance when I had to set all the freeze panes again until I found the culprit. Hope this helps.

    Filter on the selection is relatively new in Excel. However it’s of limited use since you cannot select multiple cells. It’s much better to write your own little macro to loop over the selected cells and add them to the autofilter.
