I think my mind just exploded, I did know a few but WOW!!! There are a few that I will be able to use on a regular basis and look forward to those times. Thank you
Thank you! Great shortcuts (even for someone who doesn't really know advanced Excel yet...). It would be super helpful, though, if you had included the "normal" way of accessing these functions along with the shortcuts (so we don't have to hunt through previous videos to find each individual action)...
Hi John. This was great video. Definitely in coming weeks will work through my daily routine to implement this shortcuts in to my skill sett. Some how this shortcuts was hidden from me till now. Thanks! We want more videos like this ;)
Excellent tutorial! The 19-Advanced-Excel-Shortcuts.xlsx spreadsheet available in the resource link above was very helpful for practicing the shortcuts :).
Great tutorial. I just hope you have a website version of this. I'm not really a fan of video tutorials because you forget easily, you cannot paste contents, and it's not easy to get back to the spot you need to refresh your memory.
#14 is more useful in my opinion when a cell in another worksheet is referenced. If trying to understand precedents on the active worksheet then I use F2 because of the color coding.
Great point! I'll do a separate video on the Trace Precedents and Dependents buttons on the Formula tab of the ribbon. Those buttons also draw the lines to the other cells/sheets. Thanks for the suggestion! 🙂
#1 I did not know and that will be very useful. If I only want to see specific items, does Ctrl+ perhaps remove everything except the selected item(s)?
Hi Jonathan, Great question! Unfortunately Ctrl++ doesn't work for that. However, there is a shortcut on the right-click menu under Filter > Keep Only Selected Items. If your keyboard has a Menu Key, the shortcut is Menu Key, T, K Here's an article on the Menu Key: www.excelcampus.com/keyboard-shortcuts/excel-keyboard-shortcuts-convert-text-to-numbers-ignore-errors/ And I recommend getting a keyboard that has one. Here is an article on the best keyboards for Excel: www.excelcampus.com/keyboard-shortcuts/best-keyboards-for-excel-keyboard-shortcuts/ I hope that helps. Thanks again and have a nice weekend! 🙂

Thank you for such good videos. I have one question, I have conditional formating and use traffic lights for this i.e 60% converts to green light. When I copy this spreadsheet in email or word it removes the traffic light and shows value 60%. Is there a way to keep formating of excel to show traffic lights while copying to email or word document.
