Hello, I am a native English speaker and I already knew these rules, but it was fun to watch. A lot of people I text think I am serious or mad because I use proper grammar the majority of the time.
You're so great, thank you so much. I learn my English only in High school. After that by watching movies helped me a lot. But grammar and many knowledge left behind, I'm trying to be a transcriptionist. But my English knowledge is way too far from it. I hope it's getting better with your lessons.

I wish I seem your TH-cam channel back in 2015. I took a class called business Editing Skills in English class about punctions at technical college. Cause I failed this section in grammars English class. You're awesome teacher, you better than my teacher.
So in the mini quiz at the end, the last practice sentence is, “She’s English but she speaks French perfectly.” Shouldn’t there be a comma between “English” and “but”? Or is that an exception to the comma rule? Genuinely asking, I’d like to get into transcribing and I want to know all the rules.
Great question! A comma between two independent clauses joined by a coordinating conjunction is optional if the independent clauses are very short (under 4 words).

Hi. How does rule 5 apply to titles that begin with an article within or at the end of a sentence? For example: One of my favorite comedy sitcoms is The Goldberg’s.
The title should always be capitalized even if it begins with an article or preposition. Generally, the last word should always be capitalized as well. Check out this website for help with capitalizing titles: titlecaseconverter.com/ It will capitalize every title for you automatically following all the rules.

Thank you so much for your wonderful videos. My 7th grade students are telling me that they learned in 6th grade to make sure that the capital letter of each sentence is pointy. The uppercase must have sharp edges. I don't think this is true, am I correct? I never heard of something like this before! Is this some strange thing in common core? Or did they just have a teacher who misled them?
