I apologize if this is a repeat. I replied to a comment saying crime is also reported down because people don't call the police any more. I deliver mail in Denver, and last December I was threatened with a gun when I asked a guy to stop pissing on a house on my route. I talked my way out of it and called 911 when I was half of a block away. It took 37 minutes for the police to arrive. In August a man drove onto the sidewalk and intentionally hit me with his car, breaking my arm. The police showed up 2 hrs later when I was in the ER. Turns out defunding the police is a bad idea. Huh, who knew other than EVERYONE? Letter carriers, especially those with military or police experience, should be allowed to carry a weapon.

I live in TN and I work in a pediatric clinic. During 2020 the child/adolescent SI (self deletion) and Accidental SI rates increased greatly. We tried to push for gun safety and locking up medication (there was a crazy rise in Tylenol overdoeses). I asked for a webinar from Vanderbilt on increasing gun violence with teens because we had just had another shooting outside of a school in Clarksville and the statistics were showing that gun was a lot higher in the 90s, I think. Fast forward a year, and then they were pushing for more gun laws. Unsure why if the statistics showed it was higher previously unless it was because of SI rates. Most of the SI attempts I've noticed were also in those who had gender issues or other mental health issues. I think it would be better if they pushed more education and training for parents than this was help more than trying to ban guns. Just my opinion.

We have Glock gen 3 in CA. I’m not positive but 7:02 I do believe it is drop safe. But what disqualifies the newer glocks is that they don’t have a loaded chamber indicator and they don’t have a magazine trigger disconnect. I don’t mind being forced to have a loaded chamber indicator other than this limits accessibility to many great pistols without them. Whether it provides greater safety depends on the competence of the gun owner. Unfortunately, there are many idiots among us who think that when you remove the mag, their gun must be unloaded and then end up shooting someone. Whether having a magazine disconnect provides safety is questionable… except in the case of people vying for the Darwin Award. So, sadly, I find the notion that I can’t fire my pistol when a magazine is not inserted is unsafe… or at least very inconvenient. If I want to dry fire my pistol, I either need to purchase another magazine just so I can have it to do drills. Or, I have to unload my magazine first. Add to that, if I’m trying to build muscle memory for when I rack my slide, I only get to rack my slide by pulling it back only far enough to reset the trigger. Will this bite me in a bad situation? Probably. But what else can one do. Of course the state regulators don’t care about that. They want you to make gun ownership as odious and expensive as possible so that either we can’t afford it or we give up because it’s too much trouble. Of course the real issue is that they don’t actually believe that we have inalienable Rights in the first place. So, they’re trying to “liberate” us by removing our inalienable Rights.
Minneapolis and St. Paul have a gun incident daily, some days several. It never ends and the people who are responsible are almost always young and nothing is done about it. I’m so glad that I left there. Funny thing is they are saying that it’s down, or “rarely” happens… just like the migrant gangs…
I heard the reason for the change was that several large metros took a long time to comply with the new data upload regime for this year. That delay meant that previous numbers did not include several large metros where a lot of crime takes place (potentially since the FBI isn't talking about the reason): LA, SF, Chicago, Miami, NYC, D.C., Baltimore, Seattle, Portland, Boston, Philadelphia, etc.). When they were finally added, crime went up.

Easy fix for Maricopa county in Arizona, all other counties will not submit their results until Maricopa county submits their first.

We have Glock gen 3 in CA. I’m not positive but 7:02 I do believe it is drop safe. But what disqualifies the newer glocks is that they don’t have a loaded chamber indicator and they don’t have a magazine trigger disconnect.
I don’t mind being forced to have a loaded chamber indicator other than this limits accessibility to many great pistols without them. Whether it provides greater safety depends on the competence of the gun owner. Unfortunately, there are many idiots among us who think that when you remove the mag, their gun must be unloaded and then end up shooting someone.
Whether having a magazine disconnect provides safety is questionable… except in the case of people vying for the Darwin Award. So, sadly, I find the notion that I can’t fire my pistol when a magazine is not inserted is unsafe… or at least very inconvenient. If I want to dry fire my pistol, I either need to purchase another magazine just so I can have it to do drills. Or, I have to unload my magazine first. Add to that, if I’m trying to build muscle memory for when I rack my slide, I only get to rack my slide by pulling it back only far enough to reset the trigger. Will this bite me in a bad situation? Probably. But what else can one do. Of course the state regulators don’t care about that. They want you to make gun ownership as odious and expensive as possible so that either we can’t afford it or we give up because it’s too much trouble. Of course the real issue is that they don’t actually believe that we have inalienable Rights in the first place. So, they’re trying to “liberate” us by removing our inalienable Rights.
In the 90s, people were led to believe that budget surplus meant that we weren’t going further into debt.
Minneapolis and St. Paul have a gun incident daily, some days several. It never ends and the people who are responsible are almost always young and nothing is done about it. I’m so glad that I left there. Funny thing is they are saying that it’s down, or “rarely” happens… just like the migrant gangs…

I heard the reason for the change was that several large metros took a long time to comply with the new data upload regime for this year. That delay meant that previous numbers did not include several large metros where a lot of crime takes place (potentially since the FBI isn't talking about the reason): LA, SF, Chicago, Miami, NYC, D.C., Baltimore, Seattle, Portland, Boston, Philadelphia, etc.). When they were finally added, crime went up.
