I tried making it, and it turned out delicious!Only had unsalted butter so I just added a bit more salt. Used a 9" baking tin, baked for just a few minutes less.I'll try make them into muffins next time.

May I kno wat is the purpose of adding cornstarch? Cos normally butter cake dun use cornstarch
Is there a specific reason why you beat the flour with the butter first, and not add it last, so that it develops less gluten? ❤
This is another way of making butter cake, the cake more soft and moist

Hello Ma'am..... What it is a suitable substitute for poppy seed ? Here in Singapore poppy seed are classified as prohibited goods. Thank you
You can add 50g of ground almond or chopped toasted walnuts
