I personally got around to obtaining the umarex mp40, its a suprisingly fun indoor skirmish gun. Definitely turned heads of players and staff alike seeing a gbb mp40 on the field.
When he didn't hit anything when full auto and was still happy made my day
Skip this one and await the KWA MP40 GBB (if it's ever released). It is true to the original, fullauto only and open bolt unlike this Umarex one.

The first MP model was MP-18 late WWI.And other models are(only in WW2)MP-38,MP-40,MP-41,MP-42,MP-43,MP-44 and the last is MP-45 used in late WW2.

I feel that since you have the CO2 capsules in each magazine it will be more costly since you would have to have 2 in every magazine you use and not just one set in the gun itself. This would save you money and reload time in the games.

Does the bolt lock back automatically when empty if so thats an instant win in my books no matter the negative sides it has.

Kind of wish you guys would get something to hold the gun while you do accuracy tests. Its cool to see someone having fun shooting it, but I don't get any sense of its accuracy when human error is so prevalent. Obviously its good to see someone shoot it themselves because we will have the same human error, but its still good to see what it can do in absolutely perfect conditions.

The umarex mp40 was originally designed to shoot 4.5mm 177cal steel bbs that's why there is no adjustable hop up that brand is mostly know for airguns/pellet they literally took over 100 year old companies like crosman and daisy
I love it...compared to boring late 80's early 90's co2 bbguns.i bought one today. Its co2 fun.its not like it's the real thing. Why so much complaints. Live life have fun

I own a GSG MP40 replica in 9mm but ever since I bought a CZ evo3, I barely shoot it anymore, so I'm kinda tempted to sell the firearm and buy this instead... (since in Belgium, you are limited in the number of guns you can own, so a firearm I don't shoot is a indrance...)

Just an idea but I would leave one empty co2 cartridge in there and use the second spot for a co2 to hpa converter. Hpa mp40, hell yeah.

It shoots faster than the original.I think it should be slower like the original one which i love it.

So basically to have a gbb machinegun without using a hose attached to an airtank on the mag, have 2 or 3 co2 capsules inserted into it's magazine or better, a drum mag. Hopefully somebody gets on it asap.

I don't understand why it's closed bolt? I mean there is open bolt gbb already such as the kwa/ksc mac11. So it's not impossible for a gbb to be open bolt
Also is this actually an airsoft gun because there is a BB gun that is also licensed and looks exactly the same like the mags and closed bolt
closed bolt vs open bolt in airsoft means the actual part that moves that pick up the bb moves a lot less I believe. like on a WE M4 the nozzle moves all the way back and then forward. a lot of gas spills out that way but has pros of its own. it does not mean the same as a open bolt real gun which the mac 11 is replicating.
yes its an airsoft gun. its the 6mm version. the other one is a 4.5mm
will hicks that's cool that they made a airsoft version of it. Hopefully WE or someone else will make a open bolt one in the future
One thing for sure, the gas usage of close bolt won't be replicate in open bolt system
This is just a 6mm conversion of the BB gun you mentioned. That's why it's closed bolt.

I didnt realize KWA released a MP40 sometime this Decade
Actually, the thumbwheel behind the magazine on the lower reciever was the fire selector...both the MP-40, and the "Schmizer" MP-38 were capable of either semi-automatic or full-auto fire, the thumbwheel carried over from the MP-38 to the MP-40....both relied on a fairly simple telescopic bolt firing system....honestly, given a stamping press (with pre-cast negative plates), a drill press with the propper rifling bits and I could build a fully-functional "real steel", MP-40 in my garage, inside of a couple of weeks....it'd be crude; no sights or anything like that, but it'd be functional.
Legal constraints prevent me from doing this however, because I hold neither a FFL-2 or an FFL-3, and have not be cleared, certified or registered with the ATFE to manufacture small arms.
Having the knowledge, and capability to do something doesn't nessicarily mean you actually CAN do it.....God bless the land of the free....

stijnVDA1994 I know a guy with an aeg version. He removed part of the upper receiver and tapped two holes in the top and screwed a section of rail on. Not sure why though.
