Exiled unjustly, convicted without trial, slandered without cause. Man of God depicts the trials and tribulations of Saint Nektarios of Aegina, as he bears the unjust hatred of his enemies while preaching the Word of God.
Yelena Popovic is a Serbian/American actress, writer, director, and producer. She studied at Playhouse West, an industry-recognized premier acting school and training ground for actors, writers, and directors. Her directing debut «L.A. Superheroes» (2013) won Audience Award Winner of the NYIIFVF. She also produced «Monday Nights at Seven» through her company Simeon Entertainment and has several other active projects in development.

When my ex-girlfriend was a patient for dialysis and she was in desperate need of a kidney transplant, I turned to this Greek Orthodox Saint and prayed to him and asked for his intercession. And sure enough, my ex-girlfriend received a kidney transplant.

May Saint Nektarios pray for all of us and help Ethiopia come back to Eastern Orthodoxy!! As the ways in which Saint Nektarios worshipped, believed in and was part of, Eastern Orthodoxy, is not the same as Ethiopian Tewahedo Oriental not-Orthodoxy. Not to be combative or anything, just some important clarifications for those interested. So that inquirers and believers may not be led astray and so that well-intentioned, earnest want-to-believe-ers from outside the Church, may come to know Her who is the bride of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Ethiopians historically are the victims of this schism, since many of them do not know, and are not aware fully of the the reality, which gets them confused and they think they belong to the Orthodox Church. I just saw this last night. A great movie about a great man with no Hollywood subversion.
When my friends sister had an aneurysm I asked St Nektarios for his intercessions and she miraculously survived! Also my dad was sick for months and no doctors knew what it was. I asked this great saint again and he was out doing yard work the next day! St Nektarios pray for us!
God bless you and your family. There is very strong and miraculous power in the Lord and His saints.

I understand the need of belief and why ppl invented gods, but at the same time I wish ppl were more educated and actually read all those books and listen to historians and scientists. All those religions are fairy tale stories

Just saw this movie tonight. Very moved. There is a small behind the scenes documentary after the credits that shows how an actual miracle took place during the filming of the movie. Praise God.

@@dudeB15 a storm was threatening the final day of filming. It was decided to continue filming and the storm bypassed the island they were on while it was raining evewhere else. There's more to it.

Incredible movie. I have to admit that although I'm someone who isn't close to religion and the church in general, that Saint Nectarios and his story really had an impact on me. I even remember my grandparents who weren't orthodox that they would often refer to him when my grandad was ill. When you get people from other religions refer to him that's when you know how important to humanity this guy was.

Soon after the movie I received a book as a gift about his life, I must say that this is first time I admired the movie more than a book, maybe because I could never imagine that movie could be directed but because of pure love and tremendous blessing which was given to everyone in the audience. What a spiritual gift to watch such a film
Whenever I think of this Greek Orthodox Saint, I also think about my friend, Gabriel Carpentieri who suffers from a incurable illness, Crohn’s disease. I feel like I want to pray to this Greek Orthodox Saint and ask him for his divine intervention to have Gabriel Carpentieri miraculously cured, healed and recovered by the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed Saint Nectarios, I know that I haven’t prayed to you in a couple years but I’m asking you to pray for my friend Gabriel Carpentieri who suffers from Crohn’s disease. Pray that his incurable illness won’t get any worse and hopefully the Lord Jesus Christ will have him miraculously cured, healed and recovered. Amen.

I’ve received some bad medical news. I’ve been tested positive for Covid-19 virus and so far the symptoms are mild such as a mild fever and a little sweat. But I sincerely hope and pray that the virus won’t get any worse inside me and I hope and pray sincerely that I make a full recovery and hopefully nothing worse will happen. I haven't seen the movie yet but I'm going to watch it very soon. I'm Ortodox background I'll say yet being in Australia's Christian a few churches invited by Australian Christian friends I learned & easily accepted that there all our prayers will go to God because He knows what's in everyone's soul. After all, in all Christians denominations The Lord's prayer is the same!

I’ve watched this movie over 4 times as a Christian this movie moved me I cried the first three times watching it because the heart is what Jesus is after and the heart for Jesus that was displayed was increíble I will be buying his books 🔥

I loved this movie so much and I loved how they got the orthodox faith on perfection and show the true obedience and faith and patience.☦️
Looks amazing. I m not a religious human being but interested in the history and roots of religions of all arts. And of course socialised in the values of Christianity and Jesus Christ - to me the precursor for Humanism and universal human rights.
And the Music of Zbigniew Preisner is - as always - wonderful.
You should research Orthodoxy. I converted from atheism to Orthodoxy. Best thing that ever happened in my entire life (which makes sense). We can talk about it if you want.

Praying to Saints to intercede for us is not worship. We are not worthy to pray directly to God and God already knows what we will ask for. Praying to Saints is getting "help" from Those who have become "friends" with God.

@@vukforest223 I think the movie is Premiering in August. At least in Greece it is. Last Saturday and Sunday at the Los Angeles Greek Film festival they were showing it to limited audiences with a ticket of 60$ i think.
