We've put the two players stats and features side by side in our written comparison for those wanting to delve more into the technical features of both units. wearecrossfader.co.uk/blog/pioneer-cdj-3000-vs-denon-sc6000-prime/
Hey CrossfaderTeam, thank you for posting! 👍 This comparison definetly seems more fair, considering your transparent Y/N list. I still don't regard all of the 3000's shortcomings excusable, especially basic stuff like missing on-board analysis, proper track buffering or that downgraded USB-port, considering the price. But we can agree that both are great decks that can fulfil professional duties. It's good to have the choice.
@@decoynick1730 Only time will tell with that one. One things for certain, both companies pushing like this will only lead to better equipment and better innovation!
In Germany we have a well fitting saying: "Either you go with time or you'll go with time" If you don't keep up with new stuff you will eventually become irrelevant. Maybe not short term because of your market share but long term you will
I can understand Pioneer keeping their layout due to familiarity but this does not excuse them from at least matching the capabilities of competing brands and adding their own twist. This product is 2 years too late. In 5 years we will get a player that we needed today. Thanks Pioneer...for not pioneering.
Four years on and Pioneer still has the most powerful processors on the market and still cant do anything remotely close to the Denon, WHO in the meantime have adferd sampler and xy touchfilter... C'mon Pioneer! Its like they lag behind on purpose almost😂
It's because mugs put up and shut up and just take whatever shit is on the shovel. Also we have to understand who pioneer is as a company.Once you dig deep you will understand the lack of innovation.
@@garlicnaan1 hehe, good analogt😂 Pioneer does innovate but they clearly cant fathom why anyone in their wildest dreams would want to play without bringing their precious laptops with them. Its ridicoulous.. How many controllers have they releases in 2023? Like har a gazillion, a couple very neat Even, but all having their aversion to multouch screen and ability to show four tracks simultaneously. Its just silly! Beck, over a decades ago Even Numark understood these ideas and put them into the low cost, rugged IDJ pro which you could put in a backpack and had a screen larver than almost anything on the market today. No. I am really curious what Denon has up its sleeve. Maybe all they have to do is just get metal casings for their primes, longer lasting batteries and speakers (another Numark innovation) on the Denon Go which I really like.
damn.... where that SC6000 comes from? Yesterday there was nothing right? And who is Denon? Ahhhh it comes from the future and in 5 years Pioneer will change its brandname into DENON! So basically its just another better pioneer player! probably a prototype from the futurelab... Now there is the answer! :P
Yeah, because they are like Apple, apple rarely mention other players at the market, they always compare their products to other apple products because most of the customer has already decided they will buy Apple. A majority of DJs prefers Pioneer over any other company in the market.
I hate the fact that he is dumbing down the Denon’s to bedroom dj’s,, not a fair comparison, They are both great machines,, and they are both amazing but Denon is on another level,, to be honest .
That's a standard argument of pioneer fanboys, "Denon for bedroomers". Which is utter bs. Laidbake Luke performed his gig under rainfall, and where the Pioneers FAILED, the Denons kept on WORKING. But yes, only for bedroomers, lol.
It’s a bit of a tautology right now - it’s “for” bedroom DJs bc Denon gear isn’t in clubs yet. But everybody’s looking seriously at Denon right now (hence this video!) and the tide can definitely turn if Denon keeps the mindshare over the years.
How many Djs are really doing festivals and big gigs that's in comments? So who really cares that Pioneer are in the big clubs, if you're not there why pay all that money and get less? Denon is the way to go.
@Star Lord Both screens are set to max brightness. The Denon screen is one inch bigger at 10inch, made from glass and supports multi touch. The Pioneer screen is just like the nexus 2 screen but increased to 9inch and much much brighter.
@@d0n for a home dj it's all you need. I've had some hardware sets and controllers by denon pioneer numark etc as a home dj but I will stick to the ddj400 because it got all the functions I need for making a good set
Pioneer are getting lazy and stagnating out here. No competition has made Pioneer too comfortable, and they're not even trying at this point due to their market position. Complacency will be Pioneer's downfall - thinking they can knock out half baked products but charging premium prices will work in the short term but people will eventually stop putting up with it

Denon for me. Many of the big boys are using them now. And the Miami music week last yr was the absolute death of Pioneer for me. When the pioneers died on stage in the pouring rain. But the Denon SC5000''s kept working all night long in heavy direct rain. They filmed water pouring out of the bottom of the Denons and its Mixer and they were still working fine. Why..... Conformal coated boards. Something that Pionner dont do. FYI the 4 Pioneers from that night were scrapped and thrown in the bin. When they were taken apart to try and dry them out there was already too much corrosion on the board to rescue them. Then we had the same thing at Creamfields 2019. Pioneers died on stage in the pouring rain and they had to rush another set onto the stage and get them plugged in. As an ex Serato user, i prefer the SC5000 with its brighter coloured buttons, just because its what im used too. They are just leagues ahead. Ministry of Sound night club in the UK now have 4 SC5000's in each room.
Your post should get pinned. Because if said water-resistance is really true, it would instantly slaughter any "Denon is not for the professionals" nonsene comment. Details like that (power + full track buffering, on-board analysis, metal chassic...) clearly mark a professional deck.
My friend the Denon rep. here in Sweden had one of his SC5000 die on him after only 2,5 years of use by only him. Now, 5 months later it's still in the Denon repair shop. Probably dead beyond repair, and that after a number of other issues. I have used Pioneer gear since the first CDJ-500 in 1994, and I have never had an error or breakdown, not on my own gear or in the clubs gear, in 26 years. So now we know. In pouring rain we pull out the Denons and for every other occasion we use Pioneer. Then maybe they last equally long.

I believe you can even use your recordbox library with the sc6000!! Therefore there's no reason not to switch or at least have them alongside the Cdj 2000s to allow the dj to pick.
Pioneer have been giving all these reviewer's free bees for 10years so they don't want to stop the gravy train😂😂👊 so they will praise pioneer but deep inside they the truth
I had CDJ2000s & a DJM 900 - was a beautiful machine, & I did sell them eventually for a small loss on what I paid for them. - They are overpriced though. I often thought that 2 CDJs was a waste. - Just add a button to toggle between multiple inputs. - so its not half the price - its 1 quarter if you just buy one.
You forgot 2 major points. 1. The Denon is capable of playing directly from the rekordbox stick. 2. The cdj3000 has a USB 2.0 connector for your stick. A 1tb sdd Will be running very slow.
@@TheFunkloft Really? The FAQ says this: "What happens to my Rekordbox collection? In short, nothing. The SC5000 accesses the Rekordbox database in a read-only fashion and does not make any changes to the Rekordbox collection. "
I run a club night, and I decided to use my own Sc5000's and mixer instead of CDJs. All the DJs on the night had never used the Denons, yet not one single hassle, no one skipped a beat (pun intended) and there were no mistakes or issues. Saying Pioneer is familiar, you are right, but how Denon have made/designed/produced a product of that quality and standard that is 90% familiar and takes a DJ seconds to work out what he or she is looking to do. Seconds to work out what feature they require, whether its looping, pad fx, beat jump, all these things that should be tricky or hard to work out....simple arent. Pioneer won't be the industry standard for long.
@@steve40092 The pitch bend buttons are more intuitive than the jog wheel also. I find when other DJs use my SC6000 decks, if they've been around for a while they'll comment on how they remember using those buttons on the old Denon dual tray players that were common in clubs in the 90s and miss using them.
@@steve40092 I've used CDJs for about 20 years so I was certainly used to the jog wheel. As soon as I got my Denon decks though I just found I prefer doing it that way.
A good dj can play on both, so to say pioneer is a standard and better for this reason.... denon up grade the dj level, pioneer up grade the price of set up
I've always prided myself on being able to mix with anything. A lot of DJs though will throw a tantrum if they're presented with something even slightly different from what they're used to.
when they introduce usb, they were kids' things, real djs use cds or vinyls. Now same story, they introduce streaming, and it's something for young DJs with little experience. I have been playing in a club for 10 years, I have used denon for 2 years, and I assure you that it is very convenient to have access to all the songs you want in a few seconds. Sorry for bad Eng
Very true, if I thinkn of a song to play that will fit the current vibe I need it ASAP. I’m not pulling out my phone. What if I get a phone call or text or my phone dies, I need a charger. More room for error. I rather have an Ethernet cable connected to a router or just strong WiFi and keep the party rockin! No time for extra set ups. Need a fast reliable set up to simply access the music you want with high quality!
The streaming this is a great idea However when comparing THE CDJ to THE SC it shouldn't be a Selling point unless you mainly dj without a laptop. Otherwise just use your laptop to access the streaming service then load it on to the deck.
@@djwaynice true but if you laptop fails can’t stream from the laptop. You could use the Rekordbox app though. But with the Denons everything is simply there. No extra shit to set up. I did this live at a bbq and streamed from WiFi. Worked fine!
Ok Crossfader I usually always respect what you guys say but this sounds like a paid ad. This is garbage. All the people who have been loyal pioneer customers and have been waiting for this release to blow their mind. Vanilla at best. No multitouch, no dual layer support, and it can't even analyze files on the fly. What a slap in the face. I respect the godlike skills of pioneer branding and marketing, but if this doesn't seal the deal on switching to denon then you are simply a blind fanboy. I cannot believe this is what took years. They could have done this revision in like a month from the nexus 2. This is not worthwhile upgrade whatsoever and at 1k more than the Denon's. I for one am disappointed as all hell and will not support pioneer this generation. If the clubs want to keep giving them their money for an interior product that is just stupid. Being ok with mediocrity hurts all of us and only hinders development of products in this space. Give your money to companies that invest heavily in djs not companies who sit on their asses and milk every last penny. I love Pioneer. .. but this is not what the supposed leader of an industry responds with. Total joke.
I totally agree. Even with 1500$ investment, Denon Prime 4 delivers more value than this. I am playing for house parties with prime4 and never had the slightest issue. However Denon should work on their Engine (Rekordbox equavalent software) it has missing features like smart crates, and it's development is not as fast as their hardware development.
Me too. Two SC6000 and one x1850 !! Superb setup. Many of the younger DJs have accepted and bought DENON. In the long run, Pioneer will face real competition. Smart by Denon to fall into a different price range.
Pioneer backed themselves into a corner if this is to be the next flagship player. Forget about it's familiarity of design and function a new generation of DJ's who are the future of DJing are gravitating towards Denon's feature rich players, no one want to be held down a propitiatory platform like Rekordbox. Popping in a usb or sd card and having the deck analyze your tracks is the game charger, creating crates and playlist not needing to use a pc/apple computer is a plus and streaming from other music source. It's obvious the developers and people in marketing at Pioneer are not DJ's. The CDJ 3000 should have been introduced as a new entry level kit and priced it for under 1200 usd and not 2,300.
You don’t seem to get it. While analyzing tracks is missing now, who’s to say that it won’t be added in the future? 99% of performers already have their tracks analyzed ...or know their music. So it’s a non issue.
@@scottfrost317 This. The kind of clubs buying CDJ 3000s are hosting DJs who have done their prep. Until Denon releases a deck that reads a Rekordbox export, they can't break into clubs. The SC6000 looks WAY better value for money, but if a club buys these, they'll just be renting Pioneers for touring artists.
@@Odyseuss08 Sorry, I mean generates a Rekordbox export, not 'reads'. As it stands, you'll still need to run Rekordbox if you plan to be gigging and want to prep timings. If you could do that out of Prime, then suddenly it's a zero-hassle transition for DJs to make.
Really good review Thank You ...but : ) been using pioneer since the cdj1000's (moved from vinyl) I was a huge pioneer fan, but since purchasing the Denon 4 prime it blew my head off, way more features and more "playable" as and experienced dj producer being able to access fx etc without submenus genius, my rider has now permanantly changed.I sold my full NX2 system last year, and debated over Denon, but Denon have knocked it out of the ball park with there new "modern" kit.......it took me about 5 mins to get to grips with the Denon layout and instantly fell in love.....
When I did my last upgrade I went with the X1800 and SC5000's and don't regret it at all. I still think it's important to be familiar with Pioneer, and be capable of putting together a Pioneer library USB stick if you play out...but for at home personal use? It's really hard to beat Denon's value proposition right now.
I don’t get it laid back Luke uses the Denons fine! He’s an industry artist in stage. He even had rain 🌧 on them and they still worked!!! What more proof do you need! Denon is still upgrading faster than ever.
I am not surprised. The reviews are biased. They don't want to f*ck up with the monopolist proividing them test units and previews before launch. So they keep nice with the overpriced prodtuct. This is just sad.
Point is that Laidback Luke brings his own gear to events (or has Denon deliver it, either way...), all the other smaller DJs will just get there and there'll be gear already there and it'll be Pioneer as always. Hell on most events with Laidback Luke you see the CDJ setup right next to him, either as a backup or for the next DJ... The Denons aren't bad (though the software is...), it's just that the CDJs are much more familiar for every DJ. Imagine you're a club, you can buy Denon and hear nearly every DJ complain every night that they're not CDJs or you can buy the CDJs and know that every DJ that comes along (apart from vinyl DJs...) will know how to work with them. Not that the Denons will be impossible to work with, they're just a bit of a risk while the CDJs are not. Having said that I wished Pioneer would try something with the CDJ 3000s such as dual deck and definitely built-in file processing, this just seems like the 'CDJ 2000 NXS2 large screen version', they pop a bigger LCD on it but not even multitouch... They pop the big LCD on and still basically force you to use the knob, why not implement multitouch and leave the knob on the 3000 for both functions, remove the knob in the CDJ 4000 when it comes out to move on instead of this half-arsed LCD, bit of a disappointment after all those years...
I don’t know what this guy is talking about when clearly Denon SC6000 has more to offer than Pioneer. Bedroom DJ? What?! Denon shook the DJ market that is ground breaking technology. Where do you see a device with OS, dual player, multiple USB ports, SSD drive storage, streaming media, and choices of platform?...NO ONE HAS EVER DONE THAT!!! Club owners will slowly move to Denon because you get more for your money.
Dude I have traveled to 50 countries worldwide. You know what all the clubs use? Pioneer. Why because all the clubs and festivals know pioneer and so do the dj’s. But look bro I completely agree with you on how denon has more advanced tech but you can’t literally or physically buy denons in other countries. Not all but many. Pioneer is the market kings so i will have to use Pioneer for that reason. Oh yeah big factor is software. Denons software sucks. Pioneer Runs both rekordbox and serato.
@@gregthompson8062 don't forget to travel with a bit of logic. Clubs won't change overnight even with this CDJ 3000 it wiil take years for die hard fans to adopt it over their current setup
Greg T, have you seen what people are saying here. This review is not Pioneer vs Denon but more I am Pioneer fan boy. Lol! This review sucks to be honest.
This bedroomer argument is utter bullshit indeed. Prime units provide very professional-grade features, like power and full track buffering, metal enclosure, locked IEC socket and decent water resistance (coated PCBs!). These are just as reliable and NO toys for sure!
you obviously dont know much about the Pro market. There is literally no club, festival, rental company that will invest in Denon because 99,99% of the DJs that play using digital players use Pioneer. No one in their right mind would invest in Denon to not see them make any money. Obviously there will be some exceptions that will get a pair of Denon but that such a small number that you can basically say they are non-existent in clubs and festivals. Wedding DJs, bedroom DJs and other DJs that bring their kit to play might well get Denons but you will (almost) never see one in a club or festival. They are feature packed but so fucking what? 90% of djs dont even use all the features of the nxs2. But the main thing for Pioneer is not their hardware but Rekordbox. Most DJs have their libraries in Rekordbox and can basically go anywhere in the world and know that there will be some Pioneer kit in the booth. The primes are nice but Denon are lightyears away from getting close to Pioneers position. But it is a good start.
Even it's downfalls are good..... "The (sh!t) screen doesnt let you do that, forcing you to use the knob but that's good as that's the same knob you used before"
It's biased, just like most "reviews". Not objective at all, and the payed pioneer boys everywhere make it just worse. Well, not for me, I sold my last pioneer unit 7 years ago already.

Hi DJ Holland, with all the respect you deserve, I differ with you, don't tell me that the CDJ3000 is a more professional product than the SC6000, if even the SC5000 has more advanced functions than the CDJ3000. This is like IPhone and Android users, why do you have to pay more for less? just for feeling? because if I have an iPhone does it give me status? I expected that Pioneer DJ would at least reach similarities to the SC6000, but it doesn't have wifi, I need a laptop and pay Recordbox just to get services that the other gives me for free ?, the cues were crazy at the top of the JOG, It is uncomfortable. the difference between Pioneer DJ and DENON is that the DENON developers are active in the forums listening to the improvements that the consumer wants, because in the end the product must be for us, Pioneer does not listen.
pioneer shud stay with car radios n foolin youth with ddj200. stop explaining b0llox.its crap and still after 20 years u can not scratch on pios. crossfader u cheap!
@ralph hardwick, brother, the professional is you "the dj" not the equipment. They want to sell you the idea that for you to be a professional you must use this or that, and that is not true. you get my point. It's like DAWs, which is better, which is more professional? You understand? You are the professional, you are the one who mixes, you are the one who faces the public, the players are just your work tool. You understand?
They both win for their respective intended audiences. I thought you explained that very well. If you are using CDJ 2000’s now you’ll love these. On the other hand, if you’ve never been in the habit of using CDJs, the Denon offers more for your money and would be my preferred choice particularly if I wanted streaming services.
Imo Denon is way more like Apple ... in 2007. They’re coming up with new ideas in a market where there haven’t been new ideas for a long time. It’s funny to me that folks are saying Pio is the Apple cuz Apple was fully the upstart disrupter 13 years ago!!
Indeed the target markets are very different and to me, the big thing is long-term reliability. I have had lots of technical issues (fatal hardware failures and lots of software glitches both on the x1800 and the sc5000) with my Denon set up and had my x1800 replaced by Denon after 3 month of use. This is why I believe Pioneer, for its target market, is the go-to brand.
you’ve said right DJ Holland..old generation is on Pioneer because is ‘old’ and doesn’t like change..BUT next generation could push ahead Denon because is more up-to-date, less expensive and they’ve already at home..when club owners will drive on that they’ll be happy to drop Pioneer and get Denon to save money.. ..ONLY ONE THING: Denon has to improve its reliability and then will bang..
I keep hearing comments about poor Denon reliability...but what is the case study to show this? I’m not for or against Denon but haven’t they actually been proven to be just as or more durable than the pioneer players -?!!! I watched a video of an sc5000 being hosed down with water and then plugged in a minute later - no issue. Try that with a CDJ.
No Reliability? Software maybe, but they made massive improvements since 2017 and the units themselves are stable. But the Hardware is flawless, Laidback Luke performed his gig during RAINFALL and while the Pioneers perished, the Denons kept on playing through the whole night. I know which brand to pick.
i dont know about very long term, but denons gear is really solid and chunky, it feels well built. not just the players, their hifi stuff and amps too.
Yeah I don’t get the argument “SC6000 will be difficult to adjust to”, I learned on Denon and my first club gig I played on pioneers for the first time and it was honestly easy to figure out. Professionals should use the tool at their disposal and not throw a fit if the gear isn’t exactly what they practiced on!
Gone from a Pioneer controller to the sc6000s, i get the argument however the future holds more possibility than the present so Denon wins hardware battle. Need to give it year or so and see where both are at in terms of Software updates, both companies have work to do. The question is will Pioneers next two devices be as Denon is way ahead in the standalone department.
I sold 3 xdj1000mk2’s & bought a pair of sc6000’s. It didn’t cost me anything extra to buy the Denons as they were on sale. I’m so pleased with them, they’re great. I’ve owned several pioneer setups over the years, including previous “flagship’s” But no way was I gonna pay the asking price for the 3000’s. I have no regrets jumping ship!
Denon all the way, 6000 M perfect for all arround Dj and much more fun a capable and power full theres not limitations on your creativity but pioneer even is a great player limit your mixing creativity, denon is gonna become soon the standard on clubs.
I'm not a DJ, I'm a rental company owner and, to be really honest, I can't see any real reason to upgrade from the 2000NXS2, it doesn't justify the huge price. I've watched a live stream of a DJ playing with 2 3000 and 2 NXS2, nothing he did on the 3000 he couldn't do on the NXS2, and as far as the reviews I've seen, its pretty much all there is to it. the reality is that the 3000 is more of the same for much more money with a little hint of denon sprinkled here and there. I really wish DJs started learning to play in ANYTHING but pioneer. And I garantee you, here where I live, we won't be seeing rental companies with 3000's for the next 5 years, unless ones nxs2 breaks and nobody can fix it.
I’m sure Denon will be the future standard IF they’ll improve reliability, fine but still not perfect.. btw my dream is a bundle A&H mixer and Traktor decks now A&H it seem they’ve bought Traktor Co. 😉
I'm a pioneer user for almost 20 years. And I love everything about them. But I'm also happy to see that there is another big player on the market that can compete against them. I own a pioneer XDJ XZ and I absolutely love this deck. But I also played once on a Denon Prime 4. Can't say anything bad about this player. I just didn't felt myself at home on this deck. and that's just pure about what I'm used to. I've Denon would be the leading brand on dj set up's, I would deff. have the same feeling about Pioneer. And it's nice to see that Denon is pushing the boundaries for Pioneer. They are deff. leaping forward on technology more than Pioneer. Nevertheless, all the extra stuff you can do on the touchscreen like pinching and zooming into the screen, are non of the functions I really was waiting for. I still prefer the "mechanical" approach by using the rotating dial. But anyway, I still prefer playing on a CDJ2000NXS2 than a CDJ3000. And honestly, Denon also deserves to be on the big festivals/ clubs. At this point, the only difference I see is beeing used to the product.
Pre covid, I played with my Denon Prime (2 sc5000s+ x1800) set up every weekend and it was an absolute rock star. I'm not a DJ that only plays in nightclubs for an hour but someone who worked in local bars playing 10-2 weekly. Some thoughts: Pros of Denon: - Dual Layer Function: this has came to save me in a pinch numerous times. If 1 of my 2 players locked up or freezes mid set, I'm able to continue spinning on 1 player while I fix the other. If this function didn't exist, I would've had to stop the music. Additionally, Denon cache's the entire loaded song vs. Pioneer's infinite loop. If I have a gig that I know has old players, I have the option to bring in 1 player that I can spin on all night. Making it even easier than bringing a controller. - Build Quality, Size & Weight: At 9 lbs, the players are light compared to Pioneer (12-15lbs). It's small enough to slide into small booths and has been able to continually work even with a few bruises. - Streaming: Playing private or corp events, you're going to get requests and there's a good chance you don't have every song. This will become a must-have option and it has helped me keep clients very happy. We'll see if the 3000 even gets this option since there hasn't been confirmation yet. - Roll Wheel: Being able to create an immediate timed loop by pressing a knob and adjusting is just to much fun to not have. Creating a loop before mixing to the next song comes super easy. Yes, you can do it via loop buttons as well, but it's just more intuitive with a wheel. - Updates and Service: Denon has done a terrific job in the updates they've provided, and has come consistently. The updates since launch has greatly improved the function of the players and when I ran into an issue, Denon sent me a replacement player before I even sent my original one in. - Aesthetics: The Denon just pops in a dark venue with all the lighting customizability features. You can change the colors of the players to the vibe you want to set, and I've had plenty of DJs in awe over the look of the players. - Price: At this current time, you can buy my entire set for about 3200 bucks which is a steal if you compare it to a full Pioneer setup (w/less functions). W/ holiday season coming up, you'll be able to find an entire setup WITH A COFFIN for under 3k. Cons: - You sacrifice your work flow if you continually jump between Pioneer and Denon. Preparing music for Serato, Engine Prime and Rekordbox sucks. If you're an actual working DJ, a Denon set up is more "professional" than Pioneer even with the 3000s on the market.
Andrew trust me..I'm seriously thinkin' to go for Denon (from Pioneer) because me too I'm sure new DJ generation will push Denon forcing to have Denon on their rider..only one thing: why and how many times one of 2 decks has freezed during your events?..
@@djbobrokk723 It's only happened twice, but enough for me to remember. 1st time: I used Uber XLs to get to gigs and with all the lifting and movement of the coffin, I'm assuming one of the wires got loose. I decided to not try and figure it out that night (midplay) so I went ahead and finished the night (2 hrs) w/ only 1 player. 2nd Time: The digital RCA cable was shorting, so i needed to swap it with a backup. The player didn't freeze in this situation but having the dual layer function on 1 player game me sufficient time to diagnose and fix.
same as me mate, i dont even have separates, i just take my prime 2 with me. most of the other genre DJs i work with on the local bar / small club circuit cart around a pioneer xdj-rx2, but the primes are gaining in popularity, its a 5 minute setup thing just plug into the venues xlr sockets and go. i don't get the "but familiarity" arguments either, i can happily hop between both brands. I agree on the loop control its way more tactile and intuitive than having to look down and mess about with buttons. The streaming thing i don't use, but i can see for wedding & event DJs that would be a killer feature.
@@djbobrokk723 I bought the SC5000 when they came out, then the 6000M... I have never experienced a gig-interrupting freeze. I had a couple of glitches in the studio in the beginning, always right after an update, but I tested it at home and ran through the process WAY before ever taking them out for a live event. Even if one player did crash, you have TWO decks on the other. These things have been really good.
@@andrewnguyen7364 I feel like a couple of Vulcan cases and spare cables, maybe a backup SD/SSD for your files ( just in case something corrupts) and you are just as GTG with Denon as with Pio. Thoughts?
The CDJ 500 you showed was actually the 500S. I owned a pair and loved them. The 500 was a large top loading CDJ. The S version shrunk it down and was a great first set of CD decks.
I had a CDJ500 and a CDJ500Mk2. They were both big top loading ones with the Mk2 having a slight difference in the loop buttons. They were the first players I used that had a loop features. :)
@@hudziszeq Please take a look in the history and se who did the first dj oriented player (just a tip, it starts in 1981 with Denon DN-3000 F) In your comment i think you are referring strictly at the alignment of the buttons from the SC5000's, whell it was intentionally similar to CDJ so lazy people can find them more easy and don't have to learn (because learning something new is bad for some) but in comparison with the CDJ 2000, the SC5000's from 2017 had so much more to offer and they are ahead even when you compare them with the new CDJ 3000's from 2020 Pioneer inovation = 0 and Denon is 10 out of 10 In conclusion the design is similar because of those facts, functions are something else I am wondering how some people feel when they pay almost double the price for less than half of what others are offering, in my case I would feel ripped off if I would pay 6600 EUR for two players and a mixer from Pioneer knowing that I can have something so much superior at total of 3200 EUR if I go with the Denon SC5000 players or 4000 EUR if I want the best players out there, the Denon SC6000's
@@djaya.official Please don't talk as if you know the history... You obviously know very little and understand less. Not even the Denon part... I just listened to your last set, the one from sept 16, and I could see that you are using 2 channels only, only use the filter and wash effect and some EQ'ing. You are beat matching a pre planned set of mainly EDM and bass house, only going from drop to breakdown during the whole set. Why don't you use any of the beat effects at all, don't you like them? I know I don't. I spent $2000 on that piece of crap and lost a lot of money selling it, yet it took 3 months. Very expensive learning experience. What you are doing in that live set, I can do on a couple of CDJ-500s and a DJM-250. Except for the wash effect. That's gear you can buy for less than $200, and that must make you feel ripped off. Another thing you still haven't learned is to differ between price and cost. As one of my best friends and colleague happens to be a Denon rep here in Sweden, I know exactly how much problem he's had with his SC5000's and X1800, which includes broken cue/play/pause buttons after only a year. Took ages to get repaired and cost a small fortune. Black screens, needing restart of the unit, link problems and the mixer hang causing restarts. Finally, one of the SC5000's broke down completely, and is since 5 months in the Denon repair shop, likely dead beyond repair. Meanwhile I've had my Pioneer NXS2 setup + 1 year (4 years), and it has never been a failure during this time and it still feels and look brand new. As you just have demonstrated in your mix, it has more features than almost any DJ will ever use during a set, and it will last for years longer than Denon Prime. I also know that I will get a fair price and as of today at least 60% back of the initial cost. Compared to the Prime 4 where I lost 30% after a few hours of use. I have already a lot lower cost on my expensive gear than my friend using Denon. Those words ''reliability'' and ''durability'' in a pro environment are quite important. There's also spare parts and workshops available everywhere for those times an accident happens. All this contributes to the cost, and my guess is that there's no gear on the market cheaper than the Pioneer pro gear, looking at cost per used hour. Taking in to account your age and that you've probably not been playing 5 nights a week, preparing the other 2, year after year, while caring for family with a bunch of kids I can oversee your statement ''learning new is bad for some''. I can promise you that when everything you do is on routine and the little time you have outside touring, preparing and playing goes to your family, you'll understand better, if you ever find yourself lucky enough to be in that situation. This is what Pioneer DJ knows, and thus implement new functions in a slow pace and let's everything we are used to stay the same, almost. Don't forget that the Pioneer Eco system is a modular one. If you want to get creative, Denon is not even on the same play field yet. There's no external pad units, effect units or samplers from Denon. No 6 channel advanced mixers with use of up to 6 linked units. The players are made to fit in to this Eco system of various parts that all work together.

I’ve been DJiing since the 70’s and bought the Denons because of its technology. He made pioneer sound like, not the best but consistency is pioneers strategy for staying relevant. Nice.

@Star Lord the retailers are just as bad, especially when I was miss lead into buying the pioneer XDJ R1 years ago by telling me you could get around the 10,000 track limit just by swapping hard drives, well that was bill as music stops as soon as you unplug the USB. It was also a piece of shit so will never touch pioneer again.

Everything starts from scratch, the pandemic means that the clubs can renew their teams including breaking the habit of believing that pioneer is better, I have DENON and oufff I have had the experience for 2 years, while those of pioneer barely know it and denon will surprise again .
Honestly I highly doubt that clubs are worrying about DJ equipment. At this point I'm pretty sure their 1st and only priority right now is trying to stay in business
No club will shell out the money for these until big name international DJs are touring again and this is on ALL the riders...which it sadly probably will be, but I can tell you, down here in Australia, it's going to be fucking ages before clubs are even open again, let alone international DJs coming down here
bro... Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was stuck with this confusion that which is the best! i was about to comment to youtube about it, but you saved my life!!! you saved me! thank you!!!
This is actually Perfect timing for Denon. Clubs aren't making money right now. In Canada 2 CDJ's and the new mixer will cost over $9000 bucks. when clubs re open and things start to go back to normal. Club owners if they survived the pandemic will not shell out that kind of money. it will be easy for dj's to say well hey you could pick up a set of Denons or Rane for half the Price. Other wise it's going to be we will keep the 2000's until pioneer makes something better and worthy of upgrading to. On top of that pioneer has a much bigger focus on controllers, look how many they have released. I don't think pioneer really cares that much about this market. If they did they would have at least used the layout of there very successful DDJ-1000 on this machine. It's not there bread and butter anymore. From a profit stand point as a company, why would they even care about CDJ, I don't blame them for putting it on the back burner. If I was a CEO in the parent company of pioneer I might not of even botherd, Im selling controllers left and right. why am I going to spend money on R&D when I can put something out and hardcore fans will just buy sight unseen. Sells well or not I'm gonna sell my Pioneer Controls and thats where 90% of my money is coming from. I need to recoup my 600 million dollars. InMusic has a completely different plan, whats there plan? well its obvious. It's right in there Company name, IN MUSIC. They bought Denon, Rane, Numark, Akai and other companies. How serious do you think InMusic is about this. They will make money by making inovating compelling enthuseastic products. Same as when Apple took the crown from Blackberry and Samsung made Apple completely reliant on Samsung for the highest qaulity mass production parts. It's a cycle, Pioneers parent company just came to make some cash they thought automatic market share. witch is true with the controllers thats working out like they want. They had no plans and no budget to compete with InMusics Agressiveness and innovations. They won't do anything Risky untill they have made at least 2 or 3 times there 600 million dollar investment.
ahhh what a bullshit comment.. most of clubs have already had dj gear and they are in 99.9% cases pioneer cdj2000, when the clubs reopen they wont be buying any new gear for sure !
Got back into DJing after a long hiatus while focussing on my production, used to use exclusively vinyl and took to digital like a duck to water. I weighed up my options, and tried to justify why I should pay more for less with "industry standard" Pioneer gear. I just couldn't. Ended up getting a Prime 4 and have zero regrets, especially since the last update that allowed me to add a pair of LC6000s to my set up - 4 deck club standard machinery for less than 2 CDJs with no mixer. Denon are crushing it at the moment.
they say it's targeted festival DJ's, which not a lot of functions, just the essentials. SO why don't you mix with you iphone Djay app then? Too much excuses blha blah, people just wanted the functions to be offered, it doesn't matter if they use it or not, they just want the price to justified. This is what stopping the creativity of real technical DJ's, that's why festival DJ's sound fuckin same set! Real talk. This is boring. Edit: Channels are trying save Pioneers face. LoL. The ship is sinking.
Because who in their right mind is going to you an iPhone app to play at a festival or even a party, the connectivity options are none existent, the sound card is practically none existent, the music would sound terrible through a high quality speaker, the CDJ 3000 and SC600 are marketed towards professional DJs playing in clubs, bars, festivals, events.... not kids or amateur/beginner DJs in their bedroom
Aidan Walsh so why does he not say Sc 6000’s are festival / club ready when the convertors are just as good if not better and the feature set is professional
@@TheFunkloft I've had Denon for years back when everything was CD players, I still have a Dn-D 4000 now as a emergency backup... I use the mc6000mk2 and its as robust as anything, so I have no idea what this concern over reliability is... Look after your equipment and it will serve you well...
Are you guys getting paid by Pioneer for this comparison and your opinion? Nothing is "better" because you are more used to it while it has a lack of features and performance, compared to the DIRECT concurrent in the market. You cannot assume that Pioneer 3000s are good because they don't change anything. That's just poor and stupid, sorry for the hard words. I used to play with Pioneer too but Denon just killed pioneer twice, once with the 5000s and then again with the 6000s.
@@neiltrix yeah but I Normally try to find lighter and more gentle words. But this situation gets me upset as literally EVERY reviewer uses similar phrases (like "it's meant for professionals, like clubs and festivals, not for the home user".), so the assumption that they say it because of prewritten phrases in the pioneer guidelines to their review is not hard to find 😅
Seriously? He releases two videos at the launch day and has two player there? Of course he got paid. That’s obvious I think there were always the plan with the comparing video a few days later. The problem is that changing needs time and as long as pioneer is not doing nothing (cdj 3000 nexus in 4 years) there will be no changes I think 🤔
I noticed the same, most reviews are biased and on the same time you find payed marketing guys, downplaying any contra they find as "it is not meant for you". This is just sad.
If I was a working DJ instead of one playing house parties for friends and having fun with it then I would have to go for the Pioneer because everyone does in club / venue world. I'm sure Pioneer could have made the 3000 more feature packed but as a couple of examples - dual layer on each deck makes it much easier to make a mistake and is just harder to use than four separate decks. The screen...it needs to work everywhere from the desert of Coachella to under the blinding lights of Ministry of Sound. Low glare plastic has more chance of survival. Having said all that, it's the Denon all day long for my needs. Way more features and half the price.
The actual answer to this question is, “depends on personal preference”. You can’t say which one is better it all depends on a persons preference. I prefer having one deck per channel, I’m not keen of duel layer, and being a Rekordbox user, of course I would choose the CDJ 3000. But for others, some people might want to save money so the SC5000/6000 would be an ideal choice, more features and control for the price. Again this is just common sense, they are both different and unique in their own way. Like per say, comparing a Lamborghini to a Ferrari, one isn’t better than the other, it depends on what people want from a car. This is just the way I see it, good to compare but impossible to say which is better, because again, all comes down to personal preference.
Not liking Dual layer shouldn't really be a factor. If you don't use Dual layer on the Denons then it makes no difference at all. You don't even get the second waveform on your screen unless you go out of your way to activate the feature. So if you don't use it then literally the only difference is the one button that lets you switch layers.
Out with the old and in with the new.. Times change, nothing ever dominates forever, when innovation is the driving force behind a company such as Denon, its time will come where it will be rewarded and see itself start to dominate the market. Pioneers days are numbered. Denon will capture the next generation, because this generation is still emotionally attached to pioneer.
I clicked on this video to view an unbiased opinion of Pioneer v's Denon but the video uploaded seems to be a Pioneer promotional video instead, what did I do wrong ? Was the wrong video uploaded ?
2 years later and I never saw a DENON SC6000 at a big event, small event, club, venue, outdoor party, rooftop party, online streaming...you name it. In zero instances. Such a shame.
Denon have always been an industry standard because their products are 'class compliant' - please dont go saying pioneer is an industry standard because they are not due to the lack of class compliance. Club standard maybe - but I am seeing a lot of clubs and hire companies now investing in Denon kit, and rightly so, because a DJ can turn up with a rekordbox USB, plug it into a Denon unit and it works. Class compliance is a crucial engineering aspect when it comes to future proofing a product.
I totally agree with you, pioneer will also have less functions but the technology that uses is established and mastered and this is the reason of the superior quality.
I use a single Denon SC5000 (plus two turntables) for my home setup. Such a cost effective way to have a practice setup at home the biggest feature that Pioneer still doesn’t have (so far as I know) is On-Deck grid adjustments. So many times, I missed the grid in one tune in record box, which leads to wonky loops, or at worst, a full on Grimes meltdown.
Definitely a good way to look at things. As a technical director I am asking to add 2 of the SC5000 to our inventory. We already have 4- Nexus2 and 2- 2k nexus. But I have believed for a while the Prime line should be the industry standard. And barring their initial firmware issues with Engine I think they would have. Engine 2.0 I hope will be a game changer so the awesome Denon technology will actually be in venues instead of on shelves and in bedrooms.
Very good Video. You explained and compared it nice with the apple and android example and gave us the understanding behind the concept. thanks for that
They're both good. Pioneer is going with a proven formula and Denon seems to be more forward thinking. In these times it would be Denon players for me. Combined with Pioneer's V10 mixer. I eventually would want to acquire the lastest model CDJ you can get with a CD player built in cause to me you must have a way to play CDs. I rather have it in the unit.
This is a great view I’m 46 and grew up with starting with the technics turntables from turntables to pioneer cdj’s I love pioneer but I do agree pioneer has ruled the club scent for a all of my generation but I can definitely see Denon chipping away at pioneer armor thresh hold. I mean come my generation went from pay phone to pagers to cell phones now to computers and iPads. I say this buy and play with feels more comfortable to you they are both great and been around forever. I play deep house music to me pioneers is the way to go maybe you play hip-hop and denon the way it’s goes for you all depends what you are comfortable with at the end of the day you can’t go wrong with either.
Denon all day, the fact that they have layers and about $1000 price difference just make it so much better. That being said the CDJ-3000 will probably sell more because people don't like change.
Great Review! This reminds me of when the Technics 1200s were club standard and you still had Gemini and Numark trying to compete, but the 1200's were so familiar that everyone wanted to use them when playing out ;)
I just hope the CDJ 3000 doesn't have the cheap plastic feel the Nexus 2 did. You know that slap in the face, that you have paid the high price of a premier product but it has a fisheprice feel.
Once plastic always plastic, denon sc6000 player has rubber knobs also play and cue are rubber like the preformance pads more durable And also have a metal finish
If a product like the Denon DJ SC6000 is just outright the better product, you just never say it. I hate this aweful neutral position you're representing nowadays just to get sure Pioneer is continuing sending you free stuff to review.
I actually liked the way the video pointed out that its serving two separate markets. Just think, does throwing a ton of extra features make your tech ultimately better? On the contrary I think it makes things "buggier"... I don't deny you may be correct about crossfade playing politics to continue being in favor by the "industry standard"
But he has a point. If Clubs don't switch to Denon, Pioneer is going to continue to use it. And since Equipment is kinda expensive they will stick to the old gear as long as they can. It's a vicious circle. As long the DJs don't demand Denon Gear the Clubs don't switch. As long the Clubs don't switch the Club Djs concentrate on Pioneer gear.
@@Gramaton_Cleric "pointed out that its serving two separate markets." thats exactly what is wrong. that is what pioneer want to make you believe so they point out what the pioneer marketing wants to sell them. Denon is same Clubs, Festivals and Installations - they just have the better product and thats it. And every day 1 more DJ will switch just wait. It takes it time to change a standard but it will happen. slowly but constantly. The Denon DJs from today will be the Festival DJs from tomorrow.
@@warker_de If im a Club - i will switch. And If Djs want to play in my Club they bring their gear or play on Denon. And that`s it. Just cause i wont support this cheating of users by a company. In the End the DJs will be happy that somebody showed them the great gear.
That’s so funny because my DJ partner did the accidental USB stick removal of my usb while I was playing a track and it got stuck in that 4 beat loop. That was fairly annoying lol. Denon is definitely better on that end, on top of nearly every one as well.
@@ImpactSpace well yes, they are targeting world best djs, best clubs and biggest festivals. Soon, every rider will include 3-4 of these. Sorry if my post sounded arrogant 💜
Your comments on the 3000 are exactly why I will always go with Pioneer. Fair play to Denon though for making such a nice CDJ but not for me. It's like back in the day I loved my Rane 68 mixer for scratching but I changed to Pioneer to get used to the familiarity in club enviornments. In the end glad I'm did as it became super easy in those situations to just not have to think about the mixer controls.
dj'ing on a Denon is pretty nice. They are easy to get into. Pricepoint they are pretty good. Q points buttons on the bottom of the player is nice to have.
I own an SC6000, and I adore it. After using it for a while, I can't even imagine reaching across the jog wheel to activate the performance pads. No way! The first time the music stops at a festival because the DJ's wrist brushes the jog wheel...it's going to be bad. And the sad part is, I know Pioneer put the performance pads where they did because they didn't want to be accused of copying Denon. There's no effing way that this got past any kind of DJ or focus group testing.
It's stupid really since pretty much every controller on the market (including ones made by Pioneer) put the pads in the more logical and easy to reach position below the jog wheel. Plus on top of that, the CDJ's performance buttons are dinky little things that feel nowhere near as good as the Denon ones and have far less functionality.
Biased review here, every Dj review channel is scared to bad mouth pioneer, you should give credit when it’s due, I’m really looking forward to Mojaxes full review...he’s not a puss to call out a company for mediocre products
he`s one of the best reviewers but even he was kinda soft and probably doesnt want to risk to loose pioneer samples. But as DJ City is not YT only maybe we are lucky. ;)

This comparison definetly seems more fair, considering your transparent Y/N list. But we can agree that both are great decks that can fulfil professional duties. It's good to have the choice.
I was waiting to see if you would do this. Muchas gracias!
I feel like the question you should be answering is whether pioneer’s continued dominance as the “industry standard” is still justifiable.
@@decoynick1730 Only time will tell with that one. One things for certain, both companies pushing like this will only lead to better equipment and better innovation!

I can understand Pioneer keeping their layout due to familiarity but this does not excuse them from at least matching the capabilities of competing brands and adding their own twist. Yeah, because they are like Apple, apple rarely mention other players at the market, they always compare their products to other apple products because most of the customer has already decided they will buy Apple. A majority of DJs prefers Pioneer over any other company in the market.
Just like Apple

That's a standard argument of pioneer fanboys, "Denon for bedroomers". Which is utter bs. Laidbake Luke performed his gig under rainfall, and where the Pioneers FAILED, the Denons kept on WORKING. But yes, only for bedroomers, lol.
It’s a bit of a tautology right now - it’s “for” bedroom DJs bc Denon gear isn’t in clubs yet. But everybody’s looking seriously at Denon right now (hence this video!) and the tide can definitely turn if Denon keeps the mindshare over the years.
Tell that Denon is for bedroom djs to Maceo Plex for example

Pioneer are getting lazy and stagnating out here. No competition has made Pioneer too comfortable, and they're not even trying at this point due to their market position. Complacency will be Pioneer's downfall - thinking they can knock out half baked products but charging premium prices will work in the short term but people will eventually stop putting up with it

They got left in the past
@@BlueHawk80 Yes its true. SC products have Conformal coated boards. As far as i know the Prime2/4 have regular uncoated circuit boards.
@@dj_paultuk7052 Thanks for the info. This is amazing for the SC5000/6000. Why doesn't Denon advertise it openly? It speaks for reliability!

I had CDJ2000s & a DJM 900 - was a beautiful machine, & I did sell them eventually for a small loss on what I paid for them. - They are overpriced though.
Why didnt you just play with the cdjs that were already at the club?🤔
the loop controls are so much more intuitive and tactile than pioneers, the rotary control feels much better to use in an in the zone way
@@steve40092 The pitch bend buttons are more intuitive than the jog wheel also. I find when other DJs use my SC6000 decks, if they've been around for a while they'll comment on how they remember using those buttons on the old Denon dual tray players that were common in clubs in the 90s and miss using them.

I have been playing in a club for 10 years, I have used denon for 2 years, and I assure you that it is

However Denon should work on their Engine (Rekordbox equavalent software) it has missing features like smart crates, and it's development is not as fast as their hardware development.
das war eine ansage und dies komplett zurecht! sprichst mir aus dem herzen!
Dennon has so many advantages and features that surpass the Pioneer gear. I just bought two Sc6000m.

But yeah, they say "pioneer are more proven, less functions mean more realiablity"... b u l l s h i t

Comparing pioneer with apple, then saying the denon screen feels like an ipad was kinda funny :D
Imo Denon is way more like Apple ... in 2007. They’re coming up with new ideas in a market where there haven’t been new ideas for a long time. It’s funny to me that folks are saying Pio is the Apple cuz Apple was fully the upstart disrupter 13 years ago!!
Yes that makes no sense to compare Pioneer with Apple
yea right
Indeed the target markets are very different and to me, the big thing is long-term reliability. I have had lots of technical issues (fatal hardware failures and lots of software glitches both on the x1800 and the sc5000) with my Denon set up and had my x1800 replaced by Denon after 3 month of use. This is why I believe Pioneer, for its target market, is the go-to brand.
"Peace has cost you your strength! Victory has defeated you!" - Bane speaking to Pioneer.
you’ve said right DJ Holland..old generation is on Pioneer because is ‘old’ and doesn’t like change..BUT next generation could push ahead Denon because is more up-to-date, less expensive and they’ve already at home..when club owners will drive on that they’ll be happy to drop Pioneer and get Denon to save money..
..ONLY ONE THING: Denon has to improve its reliability and then will bang..
I own two SC-6000's. I finally got to play on two CDJ-3000's at DJX & I felt the transition and adjustment to be quite easy. Both are solid products.
Numark NV2 is a fraction of the price as this, and isnt too dissimilar.. price over premium is the way for most people

Some thoughts:
Pros of Denon:
- Dual Layer Function: this has came to save me in a pinch numerous times.
Cons:
- You sacrifice your work flow if you continually jump between Pioneer and Denon.
Denon SC6000 is the new benchmark, Pioneer CDJ3000 is just a bad copy of Denon SC6000
just like denon copied pioneer in a first place..
@@hudziszeq Please take a look in the history and se who did the first dj oriented player (just a tip, it starts in 1981 with Denon DN-3000 F)
In your comment i think you are referring strictly at the alignment of the buttons from the SC5000's, whell it was intentionally similar to CDJ so lazy people can find them more easy and don't have to learn (because learning something new is bad for some) but in comparison with the CDJ 2000, the SC5000's from 2017 had so much more to offer and they are ahead even when you compare them with the new CDJ 3000's from 2020
Pioneer inovation = 0 and Denon is 10 out of 10
In conclusion the design is similar because of those facts, functions are something else
I am wondering how some people feel when they pay almost double the price for less than half of what others are offering, in my case I would feel ripped off if I would pay 6600 EUR for two players and a mixer from Pioneer knowing that I can have something so much superior at total of 3200 EUR if I go with the Denon SC5000 players or 4000 EUR if I want the best players out there, the Denon SC6000's
@@dj-peterofficial2753 I know already that story from other comments that you made, you make me laugh, how you spend so much time writing with arguments like "I listened to your mix" and so on

Denon is way ahead of Pioneer. Both should be in the clubs as an option.
They will, the more DJs show courage and demand this units getting provided. And if not, simply bringing their own ones.
I’ve been DJiing since the 70’s and bought the Denons because of its technology. He made pioneer sound like, not the best but consistency is pioneers strategy for staying relevant. Nice.
Do a features comparison video 🤣🤣

Apple - iPhone: Was on android before.... made the switch to Apple last November and it feels like an upgrade
can't comment justly on xbox vs ps5 lol - i just like Halo
Denon - VL12 Prime: Not really relevant to this conversation, but I've had a good experience with it. Also it seems like Denon just made a much bigger effort this generation.

😂
As someone else mentioned, the priority of venues right now is not changing out all their expensive equipment. You need a bit of a reality check.
I think it offers some time to consider other practice.

Oliver Rubert don’t be sorry for honesty
@@neiltrix yeah but I Normally try to find lighter and more gentle words. But this situation gets me upset as literally EVERY reviewer uses similar phrases (like "it's meant for professionals, like clubs and festivals, not for the home user".), so the assumption that they say it because of prewritten phrases in the pioneer guidelines to their review is not hard to find 😅
Seriously? He releases two videos at the launch day and has two player there?
Of course he got paid. That’s obvious
I think there were always the plan with the comparing video a few days later.
Have you played with both Oliver Rubert?
I'm dying for an excuse to buy 2 of the sc6000 😁
Gordon G agreed. This was a poor comparison
2 years later and I never saw a DENON SC6000 at a big event, small event, club, venue, outdoor party, rooftop party, online streaming...you name it. In zero instances. Such a shame.

I take mines to those events, it's worth the sacrifice.
LOL dude the Denons are smashing the cdjs. It´s really sad that Pionner is not up to the game anymore...
I think we can all agree the Denons LOOK sooo much better lol
They do not 😂 they look tacky asf.
I don't like the fact that you can't change the dominant green color. Gives it a Fisher Price Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle look, imo.
Gotta agree with the others...they ARE better...they don't LOOK better at all (imo anyway)
The denon sc6000m is the best!!Only denon!!!!!
This reminds me of when the Technics 1200s were club standard and you still had Gemini and Numark trying to compete, but the 1200's were so familiar that everyone wanted to use them when playing out ;)
Gemini, Numark, KAM, Vestax, Citronic, Soundlab.
Try a denon sc 6000 M. Thats the technics feel. Not a cdj 3000
I just hope the CDJ 3000 doesn't have the cheap plastic feel the Nexus 2 did. You know that slap in the face, that you have paid the high price of a premier product but it has a fisheprice feel.
They "finally" added a kinda metal plate on it. How generous.
Once plastic always plastic, denon sc6000 player has rubber knobs also play and cue are rubber like the preformance pads more durable
And also have a metal finish
I've just bought the Pioneer 3000 and they came in last week and I'm already ready to sell them. I'm going to get the Denon
did you sell them ?
@@Gramaton_Cleric it's not though, look at what laid-back Luke can do with Denon gear, and he's a better dj than most at these festivals.

A DJ that needs to plug 1tb drive is a DJ that plays everything. I'm sure Pioneer isn't targeting these DJs with this unit.
That’s so funny because my DJ partner did the accidental USB stick removal of my usb while I was playing a track and it got stuck in that 4 beat loop. That was fairly annoying lol. Denon is definitely better on that end, on top of nearly every one as well.

Your comments on the 3000 are exactly why I will always go with Pioneer. Fair play to Denon though for making such a nice CDJ but not for me. It's like back in the day I loved my Rane 68 mixer for scratching but I changed to Pioneer to get used to the familiarity in club enviornments. dj'ing on a Denon is pretty nice.
The Denon sounds like a brilliant choice for young DJs. Im a pioneer guy, so even though I'm a young dj, I have to stick with my loved dj brand
