      Its amazing what you can get for 20 dollars though. You really get a lot more for the money. Just minus the breakfast and fancy bathroom. The 250 dollar one was actually the last one I would choose because of the mildew smell.

      @Bert Digs This obviously depends on what people want..there's private villas and shares accommodations..mostly all with pools..for example my villa private 3 bedroom 3 bathroom pool two stories villa 10 minutes to melasti beach 120usd to 168 usd depending on season..building size 70sqm land 100sqm..so it's fairly good price compared to sanur or canguu areas..plus beaches are alot better there

    Those first couple of places were really grotty looking esp in the bathrooms. Mould & dirty fittings. The $20 room was much cleaner. I couldn't believe that first villa (tulip) wanted $250 a night 😆 award in 2015? Has it been cleaned since then. You can get a stunning clean villa for the same price elsewhere.

    • @bertdigsthis
      @bertdigsthis  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. You can get a really nice villa for even 30 dollars sometimes. Some places just charge so much for something not much better.

      Its super sweet though. Its kind of the sweetness of Malibu rum. Like 25-35% I think its about 30 though. Normal arak is around 45% to 50% it actually tastes good and kind of coconuty for being so strong as well.

    For a man who's Indonesian is so poor, I wouldn't be lambasting the "bad room" oversight.

    • @bertdigsthis
      @bertdigsthis  ปีที่แล้ว

      Im not sure what you mean by the "Indonesian is so poor" part of your comment. It was funny and Indonesians who speak English will think its funny as well. Broken English is a fun language. Just one letter can make something mean something completely different.

    • @lynnegordon5286
      @lynnegordon5286 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@bertdigsthis I just thought you were being disrespectful of local Balinese by CONTINUALLY sledging the writing of "bad room". Once may have been funny....we've all seen this sort of oversight a hundred times after all.... but your constant referring to same mistake, became tedious and cringe worthy. I don't mean to offend, merely point out your disrespect. Likewise, your constant badgering with bar owner, who would have NO IDEA what the word "cheers" would even mean. Clearly you are not in Bali for long. Safe travels.

    • @bertdigsthis
      @bertdigsthis  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lynnegordon5286 Its not disrespectful at all. Thank you for your input though and watching the video. Its a big mistake of whoever wrote the poster but it was hilarious. I dont think anyone in Bali or Indonesia would be offended over some fun in a play on words. No one is upset about some typo. I think Thai Japanese korean chinese and Indonesian laugh at their local common mistakes. They all have them.

    • @bertdigsthis
      @bertdigsthis  ปีที่แล้ว

      I dont feel bad when people make fun of my second languages. At least I know a second language. And most of the people of Bali know pretty good Australian style English. Very nice people overall.
