08:52 I came upon the Book of Job's suffering when it was told I think from the Andy Griffith TV show..or maybe from the Rifleman TV show. (correct me if I am wrong on the TV show). I was amazed and said wow great love from a man amid great suffering. He stuck with it with great strength even when everything was going wrong. Indeed, the book of Job is my favorite especially as someone with acne, I should try hard to break out of this habit and stop worrying about Acne this and acne that and face the world regardless of how I look. It's hard for me but I am still fighting this habit.

I believe in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit and am sad for unbelievers. My relationship with Jesus Christ is important to me, not what others think about my belief. I get great comfort through God's Word, I feel blessed and loved by our Father. No matter what is happening in my life, I believe He is right there with me. What is there to fear? I hope you allow Jesus into your life sometime because he loves you and will show you how to love people more than you could ever know. I have not always been a Christian. I would have never called myself an atheist but I turned away from God for years during my teens until my early thirties. I found myself going through a divorce with my mother dying of cancer. It was then that I realized that I couldn't handle this on my own so I went back to church and gave my life to the Lord and have never regretted it. I am a much more loving, giving and patient person now than I was capable of being without God. You may be a very nice human being now but I was not before I accepted Jesus. He is there for you whenever you are ready.

These questions being debated or even translated, whether right or wrong, are in no way shape or form, against the lord or anything else for that matter. This is the most critical to understand or accept. If you believe otherwise then you're not looking for strength of foundation but a mere shortcut to thinking. Try patience and curiosity. It doesn't mean you're committing some sort of blasphemy when you step outside of you're dearest beliefs. If what most may consider to be the most sacred, valuable and vital belief life has ever known can't hold up to any generic scrutiny don't you think you owe it to humanity as well as the actual religious community to truly understand your choice?
Ray Comfort has been such a blessing to me in the last 10 years. He has demonstrated the first use of the law is to show us our sin and lead us to see the need of a crucified Christ. He also shows how to use apologetics to lead to the gospel. In fear and trembling, the full realisation came a late for me, he says, "We want to save them from a real hell." Fear and trembling because all too late I am learning to take that calling seriously.

I absolutely loved this sermon, I loved how he injected Humor and truth and real answers, and how to use Logic to make people rationalize the creator. Winning what exactly. This isn't a race. This is in no way a competition of any sort. Whoever discovers the definitive first is no more or less important than anyone or anything else. We all get there together and benefit the same amount. Surely once the beginning is defined and the origin is proven, we will have more questions to ponder and an infinite amount of time to answer because there is an infinite amount of space to cover. 5:00 I don’t think that atheists rationalize it like this, per se. I think it’s more like “why would God allow the suffering if he exists” rather than “suffering exists … so therefore God doesn’t.” I realize the two are similar, but there is still a difference.
Much is made of the suffering argument, but like everything else, good things can be bad in the excess. Pain is a warning, to let us know we've injured ourselves, or we're ill, and we need to rest and heal. Grief is the consequence of loving. We love, so we grieve. We fear, so we take caution. God gives us all the good things, and the strength to bear the necessary suffering. God's creation is perfect. It ain't what ya got. It's what you do with what you got. Man has free will. We need Jesus Christ to know what to do with what we've got.
Why do we need god for that though? The Bible says nothing of survival in today's world. If you don't know what to do with love, or compassion or stuff from within, then practice, it's there and god doesn't teach you that, people do.

It is not just comfort I seek. And if it were, this would not give me much if any. I am not searching for answers to the beginning of everything for the sole purpose of proving god doesn't exist. It is of no interest to me one way or the other. I believe vigorously in treating others as I would want to be treated. I do not do act this way for necessarily selfish reasons as I would treat others this way even knowing they would not. It makes sense to me and I have suffered enough to know I want to mitigate and eventually eradicate most if not all needless suffering. I do not need christ in my life or heart to understand what is right and wrong. I don't need threats of fire and brimstone for eternity to love, friends and enemies. I want, at minimum, better for all of us as we shoot for the best. There is no shame in not knowing, but to accept that we can't know is an enormous step to far. God is not the answer to what is not yet known. Atleast for me it isn't.
You need salvation today. Clearly you simply do not know what you do not know. You need to know HIM who knows you better than you know yourself. He loves you & grants you what you can not even fathom at the moment. No one is threatening you with fire & brimstone. I had to bring attention to this. The Heavens declare Gods existence so the devil lit up the knight sky to hide His glory. My favorite part of the Iraqi war or being on a reservation was the night sky. With a biblical perspective it becomes even more beautiful.

The one of many things Living water preaches is Sunday Sabbath. The true Sabbath is on the 7th day(Saturday). NOWHERE in the bible does it even suggest that the sabbath was moves from The 7th Day to the 1st day. So... Revelation 2:5 - Repent and do the first works, else I will come quickly and remove thy lampstand.
God didn't name Saturn day as the Sabbath. It was the principle of working 6 days and resting on the 7th, so it would depend on which 6 days you work. For the Church our Sabbath is not a day, but our rest is in Christ.
Jesus Christ is our REST, He already fulfilled the Law. His Holy Spirit applies the laws unto our hearts. The Fruit of the Spirit within us when we are living for HIM.
Jesus Christ fulfilled the Law and we can worship the Living God daily & 24/7. The women found HE had risen from the dead on the 1st day of the week & that may be the reason for most to separate that day as special for congregating together. It is not necessary to continue discuss what does not make a difference for salvation. Just pray without ceasing 24/7 because HE is ever available. Hallelujah!

We very simply have no feelings at all about an entity which has never been shown to exist. We don't hate Thor, Quetzalcoatl, Aphrodite, or any of the thousands of gods people created over the millennia to try to explain what at the time seemed utterly inexplicable and incomprehensible, like sunrise and sunset, rain, lightning and thunder, spring and autumn, floods, earthquakes, diseases, death etc. So, probably, even 100-200 years ago, before the tremendous explosion of scientific discoveries, I would probably have been a believer in whichever god was worshipped in my locale. Science has made great strides in discovering the real causes for those phenomena and many others, a goodly number even since I was in school taking basic science classes back in the 60s. It was no more than 40 years before that when we realized that the Milky Way was not the entire universe. Turns out those "nebulae" are actually separate galaxies. What I do intensely dislike are some of the actions taken by people who believe very strongly in their deity and associated dogma. There are many who believe so zealously that they demand that everyone adopt their beliefs. This goes against what I understand as a free democratic society.

But did you know that the God that I believe in is outside of space and time. It’s not possible with science to prove or disprove anything that exists or doesn’t exist outside of time and space. And there is actually tons of historical evidence outside of the Bible for Jesus’ existence. Even secular documents for that day and age that talk about the existence of Jesus. I can almost guess what you’re thinking though. You probably are thinking that it doesn’t prove anything still at to weather Jesus is God or not. But all I’m saying is that there is other avenues to check out besides science. If you haven’t checked it out I encourage you to do so if your interested. If you aren’t I understand. Also, I hear some atheists that don’t want to consider it because they don’t think any history is real about Jesus even if there are several historical documents written outside of the Bible by people that were there in Jesus’ day. I don’t think the cow analogy or Ray’s Toyota analogy hold any water with atheists. They question why a “loving and all powerful God” would allow terrible suffering to continue while He has the power to stop it. Therefore, they reason that He must not exist. Neither the cow nor Toyota possess the supposed power of God. Apples and oranges. I do pray that atheists will consider that their prideful, carnal, fallen human brain isn’t capable of understanding the ways of the Almighty Creator, the God of the Bible. And that they will humble themselves enough to ask Him (even while in total unbelief) to show them if they’re wrong and that He does exist. God says that He does try to reach every person with the gospel of Christ, up to a certain point when they’re handed over. If I were an atheist, I think I’d be intelligent enough to know that I COULD be wrong. And if the Bible IS the truth, the consequences of my being wrong are far too serious to risk it.

William, I disagree that most Christians don't know what "belief" means but if you are referring to the fact that a lot of Christians don't act like Christians, I agree with you. As a Christian myself it horrifies me when I hear of the countless people in the clergy who abuse children. I don't understand how a person can believe in God but go against his will.
At the end of the clip Mark Spence mentions the material that living Waters has to offer. He mentions 'Sunday school curriculum'. Can Mark or Ray explain where the bible says that Sunday is the Sabbath day and not Saturday?
Read the Bible. Jesus Christ fulfilled the Law. HE IS our Rest & worship to our God is daily & 24/7. Not necessarily a specific day. However, because the Jews at the time of the resurrection of Christ noticed He had risen on the 1st day of the week, they began to separate the 1st day of the week in worship.

There is no such thing as a person that believes nothing. Every person believes something. Ask them a question. If they provide an answer, they profess their belief. Any belief that cannot be irrefutably proven is then a faith by definition.

The atheist woman in the video who says atheist don’t believe in anything is a lie for many different reasons, The first one is that the belief in atheism is an actual belief. Simply put, you believe in what you believe because you will pattern your life after your beliefs. That is a defense mechanism, and someone who’s built a wall of avoidance. Just like saying, I don’t believe in anything I don’t even believe in death it borders on foolishness.
The conscience in the sinner is only relisted and seared with fear of the consequences of their sins towards a righteous holy God if what you are telling him is received by the knew heart given to them by God first that enables them by the work of holy spirit convicting them and teaching them and keeping them that leads them to Faith and repentance and the ability to believe. In other words The sinner must also have the internal work of God in them to receive the exterior word you're telling them. Otherwise they'll only believe for a while and then eventually fall away.

A SECULARIZED GOSPEL?? Hi Ray, thanks for your stuff, including the spotlight on people's consciences & desire to live better in a freedom and integrity only possible in Jesus. However, I've got a question for you. Can you justify from Scripture that there is (or will be) an inescapable correspondence/relationship between God's justice and His punishments? Because I have noticed that you, like other Protestant evangelists, leave off using Scripture in this area and merely ASSERT that God's justice is mirrored by secular criminal justice values and processes. But His ways are not our ways! Human law-and-punishment is only our "guardian until Christ comes" into the heart. With the Spirit of Grace in our hearts then we are no longer prevented from evil by our fear of punishment but by the love for others we feel when immersed in God's Holy Spirit. If human crime control mirrored God's own justice, it would have been given to us from the beginning. But it was only given after the Flood. In the beginning God modelled forgiveness-with-discipline in His dealings with Cain. Did the antediluvians practice that kind of justice ("justice" meaning the putting of things to rights)? No, humankind instead filled the world with (revenge and) violence, necessitating the Flood. After the Flood, God gave us the life-for-life principle of human crime control (Gen 9:6), a principal that uses sinners' own fear to control them, which is still the way that the world maintains relative peace in society. God is both "Judge" and "Punisher" as per the Scriptures - but these terms mean very different things in the context of a family versus the context of criminal law. The context that applies to the One Who is Himself Love, is family. As Judge, God makes things right by Restorative and Transformational Justice processes, involving revelation and repentance - not legal punishment). As Punisher, God disciplines the wayward to humble them, draw them, for their eventual benefit and flourishing. So there is Divine Justice and there is Divine Punishment but, I believe, no Divine Criminal Law - which, I believe, is why Protestant evangelists have to make up an argument instead of teaching from the Bible about this. Furthermore, today there are three main versions of Christian soteriology each finding Bible support for alternative explanations of how Jesus' death saves us. The oldest, most original and unchanged is the Eastern Orthodox version, which most westerners have no idea about. The youngest and most secular version is the Protestant version which is modelled after human criminal justice processes, as applied progressively by Augustine, Anselm, Luther & Calvin. The Gospel is still the power of God for salvation. But to the extent we alter the Gospel, we hobble that power. We need to get back to the real Gospel only, without its secular modifications. So I urge you, as a brother, to reconsider your soteriology!

I have seen atheists humbled by this very method. I have seen an atheist fall to their knees in tears with this method. It is also the way Jesus would witness. Hope this gives encouragement.

I wish the Bible were true. I love the thought of spending forever with my girlfriend and my children (all Christians BTW). But how do you believe in something that you just don't believe? You could start with atheist David Berlinski’s “Deniable Darwin” & believer Eric Metaxas’ “Is Atheism Dead?” There are literally hundreds of scholars whose research affirm historic & even scientific bases for the Bible’s veracity. You could find Oxford educated preeminent scientists speak about the mathematical impossibility that Creation & Life could arise even from eons of random acts. Start with John Lennox. And while you are unlearning what our western education system presents as fact rather than theory, you could ask God - in prayer - to open your eyes and heart. I think you will be surprised how it turns out. Keep seeking, Brother.

However, you are actually (as the rest of human beings) a spirit living in a physical body that will die. Your spirit will not die. I was amazed and said wow great love from a man amid great suffering. He stuck with it with great strength even when everything was going wrong. I hope you allow Jesus into your life sometime because he loves you and will show you how to love people more than you could ever know. I have not always been a Christian. I would have never called myself an atheist but I turned away from God for years during my teens until my early thirties. I found myself going through a divorce with my mother dying of cancer. It was then that I realized that I couldn't handle this on my own so I went back to church and gave my life to the Lord and have never regretted it. I am a much more loving, giving and patient person now than I was capable of being without God. You may be a very nice human being now but I was not before I accepted Jesus. He is there for you whenever you are ready.

These questions being debated or even translated, whether right or wrong, are in no way shape or form, against the lord or anything else for that matter. This is the most critical to understand or accept. If you believe otherwise then you're not looking for strength of foundation but a mere shortcut to thinking.
Try patience and curiosity. It doesn't mean you're committing some sort of blasphemy when you step outside of you're dearest beliefs. Ray Comfort has been such a blessing to me in the last 10 years. He has demonstrated the first use of the law is to show us our sin and lead us to see the need of a crucified Christ. He also shows how to use apologetics to lead to the gospel. In fear and trembling, the full realisation came a late for me, he says, "We want to save them from a real hell." Fear and trembling because all too late I am learning to take that calling seriously.

Good word. I thought of James 2:17-18 in response to this objection which I think is based more on a misunderstanding of what Ray communicates than a response to how he explains the Gospel.
Fortunately the way to reach theists with the truth is winning and rightly so as all you need is common sense.
Winning what exactly. This isn't a race. This is in no way a competition of any sort. Whoever discovers the definitive first is no more or less important than anyone or anything else. We all get there together and benefit the same amount. Surely once the beginning is defined and the origin is proven, we will have more questions to ponder and an infinite amount of time to answer because there is an infinite amount of space to cover. Anyone who's ever been has contributed to the journey just as anyone who will be.
Simply by accepting this acknowledges all as WE. This makes discourse the ultimate imperative.

Nothing = absence of something
Much is made of the suffering argument, but like everything else, good things can be bad in the excess. Pain is a warning, to let us know we've injured ourselves, or we're ill, and we need to rest and heal. Grief is the consequence of loving. We love, so we grieve. We fear, so we take caution. God gives us all the good things, and the strength to bear the necessary suffering. God's creation is perfect. It ain't what ya got. It's what you do with what you got. Man has free will. We need Jesus Christ to know what to do with what we've got.
Why do we need god for that though? The Bible says nothing of survival in today's world.
If you don't know what to do with love, or compassion or stuff from within, then practice, it's there and god doesn't teach you that, people do.

Christians look at the beautiful world and praise God for the magnificence of creation. Atheists say the world is ugly, brutal, terrible. It is not just comfort I seek. And if it were, this would not give me much if any. I am not searching for answers to the beginning of everything for the sole purpose of proving god doesn't exist. It is of no interest to me one way or the other. I believe vigorously in treating others as I would want to be treated. I do not do act this way for necessarily selfish reasons as I would treat others this way even knowing they would not. It makes sense to me and I have suffered enough to know I want to mitigate and eventually eradicate most if not all needless suffering. I do not need christ in my life or heart to understand what is right and wrong. I don't need threats of fire and brimstone for eternity to love, friends and enemies. I want, at minimum, better for all of us as we shoot for the best. There is no shame in not knowing, but to accept that we can't know is an enormous step to far. God is not the answer to what is not yet known. Atleast for me it isn't.
You need salvation today. Clearly you simply do not know what you do not know. You need to know HIM who knows you better than you know yourself. He loves you & grants you what you can not even fathom at the moment. No one is threatening you with fire & brimstone. However, GOD IS LOVE & when HE reigns within our hearts, we know how to treat others, as His Word says: to treat others as we want to be treated. Yet, there is much more! But you need to know HIM. He is not a religion. HE IS: "I AM that I AM." Present tense.

I had to bring attention to this. The Heavens declare Gods existence so the devil lit up the knight sky to hide His glory. My favorite part of the Iraqi war or being on a reservation was the night sky. With a biblical perspective it becomes even more beautiful.

Jesus Christ fulfilled the Law and we can worship the Living God daily & 24/7. The women found HE had risen from the dead on the 1st day of the week & that may be the reason for most to separate that day as special for congregating together. It is not necessary to continue discuss what does not make a difference for salvation. Just pray without ceasing 24/7 because HE is ever available. Hallelujah!

We very simply have no feelings at all about an entity which has never been shown to exist. We don't hate Thor, Quetzalcoatl, Aphrodite, or any of the thousands of gods people created over the millennia to try to explain what at the time seemed utterly inexplicable and incomprehensible, like sunrise and sunset, rain, lightning and thunder, spring and autumn, floods, earthquakes, diseases, death etc. So, probably, even 100-200 years ago, before the tremendous explosion of scientific discoveries, I would probably have been a believer in whichever god was worshipped in my locale. Science has made great strides in discovering the real causes for those phenomena and many others, a goodly number even since I was in school taking basic science classes back in the 60s. It was no more than 40 years before that when we realized that the Milky Way was not the entire universe. Turns out those "nebulae" are actually separate galaxies.
What I do intensely dislike are some of the actions taken by people who believe very strongly in their deity and associated dogma. There are many who believe so zealously that they demand that everyone adopt their beliefs. This goes against what I understand as a free democratic society.

But did you know that the God that I believe in is outside of space and time. It’s not possible with science to prove or disprove anything that exists or doesn’t exist outside of time and space. And there is actually tons of historical evidence outside of the Bible for Jesus’ existence. Even secular documents for that day and age that talk about the existence of Jesus. I can almost guess what you’re thinking though. You probably are thinking that it doesn’t prove anything still at to weather Jesus is God or not. But all I’m saying is that there is other avenues to check out besides science. If you haven’t checked it out I encourage you to do so if your interested. If you aren’t I understand. I don’t think the cow analogy or Ray’s Toyota analogy hold any water with atheists. They question why a “loving and all powerful God” would allow terrible suffering to continue while He has the power to stop it. Therefore, they reason that He must not exist. Neither the cow nor Toyota possess the supposed power of God. Apples and oranges.
I do pray that atheists will consider that their prideful, carnal, fallen human brain isn’t capable of understanding the ways of the Almighty Creator, the God of the Bible. And that they will humble themselves enough to ask Him (even while in total unbelief) to show them if they’re wrong and that He does exist. God says that He does try to reach every person with the gospel of Christ, up to a certain point when they’re handed over. If I were an atheist, I think I’d be intelligent enough to know that I COULD be wrong. And if the Bible IS the truth, the consequences of my being wrong are far too serious to risk it.

I would like to know why you don’t consider Catholics to be Christian? The Catholic Church is the church that Jesus started.
God says he designed everyone to know he created them. Deep down we all know we were created. I pray everyone finds Jesus before he comes back. Judgement day is tapidly approaching and people will continue to bury their head into the sand.
There is no such thing as a person that believes nothing. Every person believes something. Ask them a question. If they provide an answer, they profess their belief. Any belief that cannot be irrefutably proven is then a faith by definition.

If the theist want to know about evolution why ask an atheist 🤷♂️ It’s a complicated subject. If you want to know about rock formation ask a geologist. Off course atheists have opinions just like yourself. Have a look at comfort trying to debate Mat Dillahunty or Aaron Ra. They are atheists but they know there subjects. Comfort picks on easy targets to make himself look good.

Let’s say it is a lack of belief in God. And God is the Creator of all things, so you don’t believe that God exists or created all things. So you think that something else created all things, or nothing created all things??

The atheist woman in the video who says atheist don’t believe in anything is a lie for many different reasons, The first one is that the belief in atheism is an actual belief. Simply put, you believe in what you believe because you will pattern your life after your beliefs. That is a defense mechanism, and someone who’s built a wall of avoidance. Just like saying, I don’t believe in anything I don’t even believe in death it borders on foolishness.
The conscience in the sinner is only relisted and seared with fear of the consequences of their sins towards a righteous holy God if what you are telling him is received by the knew heart given to them by God first that enables them by the work of holy spirit convicting them and teaching them and keeping them that leads them to Faith and repentance and the ability to believe. In other words The sinner must also have the internal work of God in them to receive the exterior word you're telling them. Otherwise they'll only believe for a while and then eventually fall away.
Calvinism, which I think you are presenting was a misinterpretation of scripture. Second Peter 3:9 says "God wanting none to perish, but ALL to come to repentance"....was Peter contradiction God?

Believing is not an ability as much as it is a choice for the sake of this discourse. If it were an ability then punishment would be of no consequence. If I were to accept what you spewed then the consequence must be so dire that believing is just agreed apon even without the desire to do so. What does that have to do with love?

Hi Ray, thanks for your stuff, including the spotlight on people's consciences & desire to live better in a freedom and integrity only possible in Jesus. However, I've got a question for you.
Can you justify from Scripture that there is (or will be) an inescapable correspondence/relationship between God's justice and His punishments? Because I have noticed that you, like other Protestant evangelists, leave off using Scripture in this area and merely ASSERT that God's justice is mirrored by secular criminal justice values and processes.
But His ways are not our ways! Human law-and-punishment is only our "guardian until Christ comes" into the heart. With the Spirit of Grace in our hearts then we are no longer prevented from evil by our fear of punishment but by the love for others we feel when immersed in God's Holy Spirit.
If human crime control mirrored God's own justice, it would have been given to us from the beginning. But it was only given after the Flood. In the beginning God modelled forgiveness-with-discipline in His dealings with Cain. Did the antediluvians practice that kind of justice ("justice" meaning the putting of things to rights)? No, humankind instead filled the world with (revenge and) violence, necessitating the Flood. After the Flood, God gave us the life-for-life principle of human crime control (Gen 9:6), a principal that uses sinners' own fear to control them, which is still the way that the world maintains relative peace in society.
God is both "Judge" and "Punisher" as per the Scriptures - but these terms mean very different things in the context of a family versus the context of criminal law. The context that applies to the One Who is Himself Love, is family. As Judge, God makes things right by Restorative and Transformational Justice processes, involving revelation and repentance - not legal punishment). As Punisher, God disciplines the wayward to humble them, draw them, for their eventual benefit and flourishing. So there is Divine Justice and there is Divine Punishment but, I believe, no Divine Criminal Law - which, I believe, is why Protestant evangelists have to make up an argument instead of teaching from the Bible about this.
Furthermore, today there are three main versions of Christian soteriology each finding Bible support for alternative explanations of how Jesus' death saves us. The oldest, most original and unchanged is the Eastern Orthodox version, which most westerners have no idea about.
The youngest and most secular version is the Protestant version which is modelled after human criminal justice processes, as applied progressively by Augustine, Anselm, Luther & Calvin.
The Gospel is still the power of God for salvation. But to the extent we alter the Gospel, we hobble that power. We need to get back to the real Gospel only, without its secular modifications. So I urge you, as a brother, to reconsider your soteriology!

I have seen atheists humbled by this very method. I have seen an atheist fall to their knees in tears with this method. It is also the way Jesus would witness. Hope this gives encouragement.

I wish the Bible were true. I love the thought of spending forever with my girlfriend and my children (all Christians BTW). But how do you believe in something that you just don't believe? Is there anything I can say to any reasonable adult that will make them believe in Santa Clause? Probably not. There is no way I can make myself believe that the Bible is true or that there is a god. And don't think I didn't try.

You could start with atheist David Berlinski’s “Deniable Darwin” & believer Eric Metaxas’ “Is Atheism Dead?” There are literally hundreds of scholars whose research affirm historic & even scientific bases for the Bible’s veracity.
You could find Oxford educated preeminent scientists speak about the mathematical impossibility that Creation & Life could arise even from eons of random acts. Start with John Lennox.
And while you are unlearning what our western education system presents as fact rather than theory, you could ask God - in prayer - to open your eyes and heart.

However, you are actually (as the rest of human beings) a spirit living in a physical body that will die. Your spirit will not die. It will go to heaven or hell (you decide where to go; no one sends you there,) once your physical body dies.
