Either way, for a country like Ireland, who 30 years ago said, thank god for Albania, otherwise, Ireland would be at the bottom of every European ranking, and now ranked as the fifth richest country in the world per population is some achievement.

      @michaelmcist 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@John-fk5qq Tax Haven equates to hiding money essentially, when a national government sets a low corporate tax rate for foreign direct investment is a completely different matter. Ireland had a long term goal in this instance, now whether companies or individuals pay the full amount owed to the state is another matter, or they could risk a healthy fine or jail. Each country can set its own tax regulations to benefit it's citizens, tax Haven seems to be used as an excuse by some to theorize why a country like Ireland is the fifth richest country in the world. 12 per cent tax rate had alot to do with Ireland's ranking, so long as all companies pay the full amount.

      @@shrinivaskarekarnitsurat6837 That's true. You always have to consider multiple points of view because one might be misleading. People love big numbers but don't see the meaning behind them. Like for example how China is so rich because the population is so poor. If they would provide properly for their citizens they wouldn't have all this money to spend. So they are basically trading the well being of their citizens against large concrete structures in the middle of nowhere because they are still very insecure about America and Europe and like to show how good they are doing.

    Haters don’t want to recognize the greatness of the US. It’s the 3rd most populated country in the world (328 million) but still in the top 10 in gdp per capita. It’s even higher than Japans, which has about 130 million people. If you use the literal definition, then The US is the greatest country in the world. In this case, greatest means most powerful, most dominant, and strongest military. The reason people get offended by that and call it “Propaganda” is because they confuse “greatest country in the world” with “best country in the world to live in”. Because we’re talking about the country itself, not what life inside of it is like. Still, US life isn’t bad. People only think it’s bad because the US is so connected to the world and people hear so many bad things that happen here, and it’s misleading. In other words, the media exaggerates it. We’re in the top 20 in just about every category that you can list countries in (if 1st is “best”). Also, US was able to succeed so well, not because of “killing people”, but because of the geography. Relocating and killing natives was only part of manifest destiny, and I think people forget that most of the US was BOUGHT from England, France, and Mexico, not stolen. (Yeah, we didn’t give Mexico a choice but to sell it to us, but not really the point here).
