  • Hey guys so we get into all the different types and styles of townhomes there are in the GTA and I'm not gonna lie, even I got shocked and surprised how many there actually were as I sat down and wrote this episode and we will probably continue to see more development and innovation from home builders in trying to keep homes affordable and to accommodate our ever changing lifestyle demands and changes in tastes.

Thanks Pete for another great video. I thought they're only like 3 types of townhouses prior to this video. Now this will give me a better starting point. Thank you again.

Great vid 👍🏻. Stack townhouse is cheap to enter, but in terms of appreciation, is the worst among the freehold and condo.

Wow that is an amazing video Pete, I appreciate it. I never knew of all these styles. Those really old ones are so ugly outside, but honestly I have seen some online that were renovated and inside they looked spectacular! I sometimes find the condo townhouses alluring bc of the lower maintenance fee, only because I am not one to use many amenities. The rowhouses are quite amazing in Toronto - who would have ever guessed something that was so undesirable would be so sought after now! They truly are gorgeous. I often walk around in Parkdale and admire the old beautiful homes. It has such a unique history.

@@ThePeteLy yes I think a lot of people are curious about this BRRRR strategy. I don't think it is as easy as it looks but maybe you could do a video on how it could be a helpful strategy and what people may need to consider. Also this concept of laneway houses in Toronto is interesting - I have seen some beautiful ones built in my area but I don't think a lot of people even know it is possible. I also think everyone is wondering about whether condos are a good investment at this very moment - is it a good investment, is now the right time, and what should people need to consider for the foreseeable future if they are buying as an investment. Also what should people consider when buying a condo as an investor vs end user. These are some questions I see come up on forums.

Hi what do you think of Two-Over-Two Stacked Condo Townhome vs a regular stacked condo townhouse. Would you advise for or against a Two-Over-Two Stacked Condo? I am particularly interested in resale value. TIA

Question for you I have two cats that are indoor cats, but like to be outdoors for short periods, plus I might want to make changes to bathroom or bathrooms and I won't be away long periods of times. I think free hold would allow me to make changes, but what kind of townhouse would be best so my cats could go outdoors for short periods? One condo I seen online was listed as a free hold condo and townhouse. Oh and great video!
