You mentioned line for striper spooning was too light. For braid and a fluorocarbon leader, what pound test should each be? How much difference does it make connecting the leader with a swivel/snap versus using a direct tie knot like the FG, etc? Thanks!

I use 50# braid to a barrel swivel and two foot leader of 25# test line. Any lighter leader seems to make spoon fall over to quick so heavier the better.
