stevecharrison it is the same weight, just more power. I’m just finishing up a build of a Rebel Hot with that 80 motor, it’s a lot lighter and better quality jet. Should be really quick with top performance.
I just got my T-33 about a week ago and I'm concerned about the density of the foam. They claim to have super high density foam on the model, but it feels just as soft as the foam box it came in. Doing a balance check results in my fingers indenting the model. Has anyone else seen this?
Peter Simons yes peter I agree about the foam. I went to a composite “rebel hot” and have really enjoyed the model. No complaints with it at all. I did this review to show the quality, not really trying to bash the company. I did strip it and trow it in the trash, and wasted 1300$ but in a weird way it was for the best. I love my rebel jet. John Noonz I would rather not say his name out of respect (that’s the kind of guy I am) but will not do business with him again. The jets from HSD are just cheaply made. I made this video to show the long list of problems. It was a 1360$ loss and I flew it twice and just threw it in the trash. I’m much happier with the quality of my Rebel. And it’s only fair to give warning to other pilots before making the same mistake I did.
Wow I was just getting ready to pull the trigger on an HSD f16 105 but now I’m second guessing myself. I’d like an f16 that is capable of a turbine someday but the bvm jets are out of my price range! Any other options? I already have the eflite and horizon f16s and f-18s.
@@tat2jaytee Hi Jay, we are the importer in Australia for HSD now, they would be happy to solve the problem if you give them the feedback. We once visited the factory last year and know the guys they know how to design and produce. We believe once you contacted your local importer, HSD will be very happy to get problems solved. Austars Aviation I didn’t need the problem solved, I threw it in the trash and built a Rebel. The HSD was by far the lowest quality jet I’ve even owned.
Hsd has horrible quality control . Mine arrived with missing foam like the mold was not full and hsd told me that was normal and not defective. No thanks I will never buy a hsd product again . There are better options out there
I'm just really disappointed in the fact that foam jets are now the norm, and stupid money.. if I'm spending 500~1100 on a jet, I expect it to be glass, not foam. But that's what we have to choose from
Thanx for the upload. 💖 I was eyeballing the HSD Mirage foamy. Now I'm rethinking it. I suspected that foam ain't the way to go? HSD has 2 composite ones the MB339 and the Mirage, maybe I'll go with one of those?
Nothing wrong with the foamie rc cosplay. BIG thin is just like any "ARF" you have to go through everything and recheck. You dont put your faith in some guy in asia that he did the right thing on a friday or monday lol. Case in point the vent tube not attached. would of been caught if you check. Even mine one aileron linkage was loose. 3 turns of the screw and done. Just like my Roban helis. they say they ar ARF but bu no means are they. Great plane and the best customer service in this hobby thus far i have seen, right up there with Align.
@@NoonzAirborneRC I'm not so concerned with the stickers being off or paint irregularities or even the lemon UAT tank. It's the dings and dents that concern me. I thought of gorilla clear taping the leading edges and other prone to ding areas? And how durable is the 20× EPO? Thanx
@@rccosplay3249 the foam is pretty strong as far as dings or dents, mine came blemish free and I baby mine with a foam stand and wing bag for transport. The foam is really dence tho! For the price complete with all electronics but without engine of course you can't beat it.
@@rccosplay3249 and for transport, you can take of the fin (4 screws) and elevators (2 each) other than that pretty strong. And it's all painted even the white

I’ve got 30 plus flights on my viper it’s well over a years in a half old. Maybe the fedex truck drivers dropped it a few times
Well I have 60 flights on it and no problems so far.
