Did y'all know that Thomas wasn't built for the StrasBurg? His old base was a NYC Dock side Sattle tank engine from 1917 to 1963, and went through multiple owners then the StrasBurg RailRoad bought him and the Sattle tank engine (number 15) had alot of issues, and then repurposed for Day Out with Thomas events, the rebuilt 15 to look like the blue No. 1 engine we all know and love
Nice job! I see they did go with the paint scheme. I wonder how they did it with the terrible weather though. They actually postponed the 11 a.m. train for it
@@RailForceI'm not sure why I'm only just seeing this comment, but it was totally relevant to this weekend! Every person goes to the RCM fence LOL and you will never get a parking spot there either 😂
@@zearfossrailfan lol I know right? I went to the Red Caboose with 475Fan in the morning after the 9:00AM Thomas train got back and I’ll tell ya, that’s when you wanna go there lol, the children haven’t swarmed yet at that time lol!!! I had to leave at 12:00 noon to get back home for church so I didn’t see you unfortunately, hope you had a great time and got some great shots!!!
Oh yeah! It def draws A LOT of people to Strasburg! I'm sure it makes tons of money too haha. I think he's cool to see even if you aren't into trains because he looks like the toy
BEDT #15 doing some tests before the big Day Out with Thomas event at Strasburg 2023. Performing some test runs. Yes it's another locomotive altered to resemble Thomas
@@STHSIndustries2K6 Oh, I See, but the one thing that stood out was that thomas' eyes or mouth didn't move while at greenfield village, is the same thing happening at strasburg, or are they fixing the problem?
I like the paint splotches they put on when running outside of sanctioned events. Those are there specifically to sabotage a certain kind of photographer.
I'd hate to say it, but you're actually wrong about the reason why those splotches are there! The splotches are present on the engine because of this year's theme fr the event, the theme being color!

You mean there are two locomotives resembling thomas?
Because I saw a video of thomas on the Greenfield Village Railroad, is it the same or just another? Just asking
@@danielmckinney5527 it's the same one. They borrow the Strasburg one
