I think they put a cover over his face when they aren't using it because typically it's in the shed with other steam engines and the face would get really dirty. Not 100% sure though.

Its to protect the animatronics on the face from getting ruined

They must take off the roof when they transport him. I think they just put a covering over his face.

You were there that day? That's awesome did you get a video? Yes, one was the BEDT 15 converted into Thomas that runs on its own. The other one was a Dummy Unit that does not run on its own and is pushed by another diesel or steam engine.

Thomas was doing a test run. I'm not sure why he had the caboose but he brought it from the station and took it to the end of the line (Leaman Place) and then back to the station!

Yay!! I was happy to see 475 again!

Yes he's back at Strasburg now. He had left for a Day out with Thomas event in another state. Then I caught him coming back. He just finished the Strasburg Thomas event in June.

@@brendanthetankengine21peep30 Rusty Doesn't Look Necessary to Take Passengers. Besides, He's a Narrow Gauge Engine, not a Normal Engine like Thomas or Percy.

Not this time. But it was neat seeing the run around at Cherry Hill. Usually at Paradise we can't see it. It was nice he still did the run around because in the past they would just stop and then reverse Thomas before it would go to Paradise with no run around haha!

Hello! I saw your comment. On the VRF cam I saw 8618 was pulling Percy. I believe he will be there for DOWT this week but not in September. Maybe they put him in a different spot this year? I don't know haha!

Thank you! They let you put a GoPro on 89?! How did you manage that? That's awesome! I saw your pictures of Thomas at the station, they were great! I wish we could've seen his face! Did you see 8618 bringing Percy? We missed it, we had to get home.

Also, I heard 475 was down right now! Hopefully it gets fixed soon!

@@zearfossrailfan sadly I missed 8618 bring percy as well, Thomas’s face was all clean and he was smiling nicely. So I asked the crew if I could Mount the GoPro to a part of the engine and they agreed. The GoPro survived the whole trip without falling off, and it turned out really good. I might go see Thomas in September but I’m not sure yet.

@@zearfossrailfan agreed about 475, turns out it has a few broken boiler staybolts I think at the firebox and a few leaks as well. Hope that can be a fast repair cause I want 475 back.
