And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man(Christ Jesus) be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him(Christ JESUS)should not perish but have eternal life. For GOD so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him(Christ JESUS)should not perish but have everlasting life. For GOD did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.“He who believes in Him(Christ JESUS) is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God(Christ JESUS).And this is the condemnation, that the light(Christ JESUS) has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in GOD".

Elon's 5 step algorithm: 1. Question the requirements. 2. Aggressively delete what might not be necessary. 3. Try to optimize/simplify what's left. 4. Speed up the processes and then 5. automate. Sounds like this could be applied to our government in some interesting ways.

It could also be applied or the first to American thinking.. we often ask what we should believe an join in on false fundamentals... Like social security insurance welfare all sounds good but taken to its fundamentals your asking an inhuman system aka government to by force of law which is always ultimately enforced by violence or threat of death if you don't comply... To cover you when life goes awry.. which is ultimately again a fear response which is always wrong in social settings and easy to control. It's socialism which kills free and open markets.. you cannot have them both socialism violates the fundamental rules they don't work in the same system socialism kills freedom an capitalism. Reality is the perfect proof. Not that those people should be left to suffer alone.. what should happen.. what is morally right.. an what makes everyone feel better is cutting out the middlemen who profit an don't care bc their a business not a person... Would be to do what was done in the past
. Families care for their elders... It is a respect an love... Everyone feels better... Welfare should be communal.. done from locals who care... An insurance haha.. if it was in your interest the companies would go bankrupt.. you pay more than you take out.. as a whole.. so it could also be some communal an people would.drive safer knowing they rely on their community an family to cover major accidents an life events.. its not owed it's good grace extend if you conduct yourself admirably
.. we do all this we just instead of doing it with good faith.. ww threaten people to do it an get less for it financially spirtually socially. We have no idea of right an wrong anymore it has been so eroded over a century... An it will continue until we learn not to encroach or empower the givernment to on what is not ours an learn we are not owed anything we are all reliant on grave an faith in each other.

Around 5:01:34 Lex and Mathew are talking about the potential of Neuralink solving mental disorders, like depression and suicidal thoughts. Mental illness or conditions such as depression, which yes often leads to or is coupled with suicidal thoughts and intentions, these things have a giant number of causes and treatment for everyone can be very individual.
A lot of times it can just be down to lifestyle and situation changes that help that. Sometimes pharmaceutical intervention (along with counselling/therapy) can greatly help or be required to shift someone out of such a state.
Wether SSRI, wether through therapy or even just a good support structure through family and friends, or even alternative medicines like various psychedelic therapies, everyone has different methods of treatment that suit them individually.
Of course I see what you're saying and as someone who's experienced depression and suicidal thought in the past to a frightening degree, I understand that you want to dig and find the root cause of someone's poor mental health rather than just give them a knob to adjust their mental state.
Why the hell would you be against something like what they're talking about, with neuralink being able to influence firings in the brain or change and improve connections to lift someone out of a well of depression, for example?
The way I see it, if it is something like medications we have today that might be able to push someone into making better choices or fighting for their own health or happiness, why the hell would we turn a blind eye to that? One thing about depression is that one can be fully aware of things they can do to help. 'Take a shower every day, clean your home, talk to your parents, exercise more' BASIC things like this can feel utterly impossible when you're suffering. I'd be glad of anything at all to help push me into better choices and actually taking action.
Sorry man, long winded response but I hope to have added a valuable insight somewhere along the way 😃

exactly. cult of trump/elon are contributing to such a toxic culture in America. billionaires controlling politicians for their own agendas to further increase their incredible wealth to further enforce their own agenda ...one big exponentially increasing circle of undemocratic oligarchical blatant flaunting of democratic principles. Its sickening. Of course something like Neurolink as far as use to help people with spinal cord or other neurologically linked disabilities (blindness) is great. But f**k his agenda to start implanting shit into peoples brains to create ai/human composite beings. He's apparently fine with ending up with two fundamentally different classes of human beings: the rich who can pay to become "superbeings" (per elons view) and the plebiens; what could go wrong here? lol. Seriously we have no idea what elons kind of agenda re implantation may mean for everyone, and we have no idea how such merging human brains with Ai may affect such "humans" empathy for humanity in general (although it should be pretty clear that we can imagine alot of very dire social and existential consequences). this is a public/and i mean global issue . Remember when elon started starlink and framed it as a project to help all the poor people, he even mentioned Africa, who didnt have access to wifi and the like (lol)... and now its basically just part of the U.S. military arsenal (like most of us knew it was gonna be from the start). Elon blocking Ukraines satellite access to stop an imminent attack they were going to make on a Russian ship or something (i forget the target). But elon even admitted he decided to switch Ukraine's access off to thwart it. Sorry, having a bunch of "on the spectrum" tech bros who seem to be missing some brain connections to actually understand human thinking and emotions (versus parroting cliche phrases about good intentions and empathy when their actions do the exact opposite) having the money to set into action whatever their personal agendas are (the good, the bad, and the ugly) is what is driving sooo many people to feel sooo depressed.

Long time ago I introduced the computer to my grandfather, who passed away aged 95, several years ago. When I told him that you can communicate with the whole world instantly and you can get all the information you want instantly through it, he looked at it and asked: "Does it make your life easier or not?". I was very doubtful what to answer back then. It certainly can make life easier in many ways. However, it cannot make up for the purely human emotional experience. The speed of data and information exchange overall does not change that. Would it enhance your emotional experience as a human if you were able to say a 1000 words a second ?! I personally do not think so. I think actually it will get us further away from our human nature and just make life even more complicated.

I agree. I think waiting or working hard for something makes it much more valuable and beautiful. Eg; A big old oak tree. However there is definitely value in being able to restore functions to people and speed/clarity in communication might help unlock new unexplored territory in human psyche! Or render us bored more quickly.

As everything in this world, we can or not find value in something. This is my point of view related to the "life easier" and the emotional aspect even with the narrow view of the 1000 words.
Everything in our lives is a result of learning, learning by the objective live you has lived or the things you choose to learn. Even though the things you choose to learn you can go from feeling miserable to a higher estate in your life.
If you are curious and you search, you'll find, so if you can search fast enough and learn fast enough you can get to be, as human, in a very good state of mind and be really happy.
But that it's just seeing things my way. I use to feel life was not long enough to learn and experience all I wanted, this can help me.

I've used a computer for more than 37 years in every creative way that I could. I can attest that anything I've done with it, and whatever joy I got out of that, does not and will never compare to a real and deep communication with another human being, or interacting with, and appreciating all the beauty of the real world.

Noland's realization that he may not be Job was heartbreaking. That kind of insight into the effect to those around him in such dire circumstances is saintly. God speed young man.

There's an old commercial that I remember growing up with, with this popular, saying, "When EF Hutton speaks, people listen." (it was an ad depicting that this investing company was always right which was a bs commercial) It all depends on who's talking. Mr. Musk towers over anyone like EF Hutton and people do stop to listen.

An the comment section is proof positive about how many comments have nothing of personal thoughts on the subject matter.. or questions or musing.. it's all observations and hot takes that are often incorrect...
