I am going to try to see her supports with Gilbert, Dimitri, and seteth? before I really judge but so far her one with Shamir is the only one I've actually liked.
Maybe it is just me but I do get where she is coming from: Rhea didn't save her once but twice and in a lot of things she has a decent moral compass (as we see Rhea being okay with non-belivers and people from Dagda, Bridgid or Almyra). In battle you stand by your superior and battling is the only thing she does so she applies it to everything. I like her because she is was truly were the knights in medieval ages, they can be good people but they live by their masters even if they don't like what that leads too. Also lets be fair she is a badass

Like burning a city of innocent people. Catheine is a badass but so is like 80% of the cast all while others have more depth to them. Cathrine by contrast is adult Cyril, lady Rhea's blade and nothing else. Again I have not finished all BL or all of her supports, but so far the only place I've seen more to her than that has been with Shamir. I'd like to be proven wrong.

Or The Black Eagles when Edelgard uses the citizens of Enbar as a shield in the sieze of the imperial capital. Basic human decency is completely against it, but in a war and even worse for a war you fight for what you believe those are pushed aside. That is why Dimitri's dialogue against Randolph has so much power, because even in his crazed state Dimitri has a point as horrifying as it is. She still stands by Rhea because she is her leader, she is reluctant but she will do what a knight would do, what a loyal soldiers would do. It is horrifying but it is what it is, war is worse than hell, hell doesn't have any innocents. And if you say Catherine is depthless I think we are on a irreconcilable disagreement unfortunately I didn't find a support of her I disliked.
