I see it as being as ambitious as possible, while also maintaining the relationships of those closest to you (spouse, kids, closest friends)...the whole world doesn't need to know what you're up to, but you gotta be doing something worthwhile and valuable.
Another verse that relates to this is Colossians 3:23-24 "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." No matter what we are doing we are called to work at it with all our heart and to the best of our ability. We aren't doing it for others, but because we are serving God by doing our best in all that you do. Thanks for the encouragement today!
A large percentage of adults will hit 65 and be dependent upon the government, friends, or family. When the Apostle Paul says to work with your hands being dependent upon no one … well that is convicting!

I’m around groups where nothing is happening Bc we are worried abt end times and me building my business is seen as me focusing on earthly things 🤦🏾 that verse you mentioned is so amazing to me thank you so much for sharing and inspiring me daily
Hey Ruslan, I've been thinking about this a lot. I am very ambitious and sometimes I wonder if it isn't right to be. But I have a lot of energy, creativity, and have been working on a project on the side. I know in my heart there is no issue with God, but didn't have the Bible verses to back it up. I really like the idea of the Protestant work ethic too. Awesome video.
I’ve been noticing this recently in the Word. Read Titus. Especially chapter 3. Talks about having GOOD WORKS, but says to AVOID questions about genealogies and strivings about the law and etc. As the saying goes, YOUR ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS.
its easy to get the wrong idea if we're not careful... yes, hard work in providing a service & ambition in said work is the way but as James later points out - selfish ambition and especially a combination of envy over others & selfish ambition together must be avoided.
Ambitious is a trait of the devil because ambitious always goes hand and hand with money and ego while humility is a dying trait it is gifted to those who know how to be humble not to those who ooze extravagant. Yeah, the evangelical world preaches the message of abandoning seemingly secular ambition altogether for being instead an ambition for being christian famous. Its weird and extra biblical. This verse is simple theology, its practical and it works! Living a quiet life and working with our hands to get the respect out outsiders and need nothing. I think people look at results. The church appears to have this thought that being the most successful & Christianese will win the outside world over.

God is THE one we look to for everything. Be not deceived for many are looking to this world for answers. This world system is run by satan. So be wary of the solutions for ills that come by way of fallen men ( regardless of their edumucation , credentials, their pedigrees). The Hallmark of the last days IS deception. So follow Jesus.
