As a former Tata owner, I wanted to share a couple of key experiences that shaped my perspective: Sales Experience: The sales team needs significant improvement in handling potential buyers. The high demand for the Nexon EV back in 2022 made it feel like the salespeople were doing us a favor by selling the car. My delivery experience was equally disappointing. The salesperson seemed rushed and didn’t brief me properly about the car. The handover process felt impersonal-they just made us sit on a couch and watch a video instead of giving us a proper walkthrough. Service Experience: The service center was barely average. Before the Tata, I drove a Hyundai i10, and Hyundai’s service quality was noticeably superior. With the success of models like the Tiago, Tata’s service centers are now overwhelmed. While I would rate Tata’s after-sales service above MG and BYD, they are still far from Hyundai’s standard. Another significant issue was the discrepancy between the claimed range and the actual range of the Nexon EV Prime. Tata advertised a range of 312 km, but in real-world conditions, the car barely managed 200 km. This was frustrating. One thing I have to commend Tata for is their extensive network of charging stations. As an EV owner, I appreciated the convenience and accessibility of Tata’s charging infrastructure, which made longer journeys more feasible and reduced the anxiety of running out of charge. This was a standout aspect of the Tata EV ownership experience. While the charging infrastructure was a positive, the overall experience-especially the sales process, service quality, and the misleading range claims-left me with a bitter taste. I have since sold my car and have no plans to purchase another Tata vehicle. I also cannot recommend Tata to others based on my experience.
@@NihiraShahi thank you so much for sharing your experience and feedback here .. they said at TATA, they take customer feedback seriously so I am gonna share this to them …
Tata users in India might take pride in owning a homegrown brand, but in Nepal, that sentiment doesn’t really exist-something Tata Nepal should understand. Almost every product they launch here comes with big promises but fails to deliver. Whether it's claimed range, performance, or build quality, Tata often underperforms despite its marketing hype. They excel in talking big-like a typical sales pitch-but when it comes to real-world results, they fall short every time. Nexon didn’t live up to expectations, Tiago underperformed, Tigor followed the same path, and now even the Punch isn’t meeting its claims. Yet, every time one model fails, they bring in another with fresh promises, repeating the cycle.
@@AutomobileExplorer-m9d someone working at Tata said not to go for that particular model ?? I am surprised here … Thank you 🙏 for sharing your opinion .. I know many including the brand will go through it ..

@@AutomobileExplorer-m9d The market dynamics of India and Nepal are fundamentally different, making direct comparisons impractical. In India, some of the models mentioned are priced at a level where the average buyer typically opts for a third-hand vehicle here in Nepal. The sheer scale of the Indian market allows for a vastly different approach- even if a product manages to capture just 1% of the Indian consumer base, that figure equates to the entire population of Nepal into 5. This scale effect enables manufacturers to sustain profitability despite relying on marketing strategies that might not be as effective in smaller markets like Nepal. The number of people they can fool over there is bigger by a lot over there! 😅
The only thing is that Tata needs to reduce its price range for the vehicle to compete with other competitors in Market. Example The nexon EV 40KW should be priced in between 40-42L, but you hiked its price to 48L. Believe me, if you decrease the price of all TATA products, your sales will rocket go. Obvously!! Please Note My Words.

I don't think it's entirely logical to sit here and debate whether NMC is better than LFP or vice versa. Every company invests millions of dollars in research to determine the most efficient battery type for their vehicles, balancing economy and safety. If LFP were universally superior, all brands would have adopted it, and the same goes for NMC. The choice depends on the vehicle's design and the desired performance outcome. Both battery chemistries have their advantages and drawbacks, but the differences aren't drastic. Instead of focusing solely on battery type, the key factors for choosing an EV should be how well the company addresses customer concerns, its track record in providing service, the expertise of its technical team, the availability and pricing of spare parts, and whether the brand aligns with my lifestyle. Considering all these aspects, if I were to choose an EV in Nepal, my pick would undoubtedly be the Creta EV.
