36:06 A correction I work at Harman & our team has designed the audio system for this car. Let me clarify, usually when you work with an OEM, you struggle to find places where you could install your stuff - In this case, finding the right places & angles to position the speaker. Ãnd then convince the OEM to build their parts around it. I'm happy that what Harman & Mahindra has done with the audio system of BE6 & XEV 9e at this price, no other car offers the same audio quality functionality. It came close to a BMW car worth 2cr when we benchmarked it. When an OEM trusts a brand & supports it, this is the wonders that they can both create.
The leaders of Indian Automotive Companies should take a pause and reflect if their product is good. If it is, then trust the product and the value it delivers and pump break on marketing overkill. Kudos to MotorInc for sticking to its guns and doing the the first impressions when all facts are available.
I love that they do everything in their power to prevent delivering half-facted or half-hearted videos. Really shows their dedication and love for car and bike reviews

The app GOES HARDD!!. I am an Android user, and the app is on par with the most premium-looking apps built by large organizations. It's very minimal but just interesting enough to please the eye. The OCD in me appreciated the symmetry very much. I only want to say that the inbuilt navigation in Android is not working in the app, like the gesture to go back. If that's fixed, the app is good to SMASH!
Poha, Jalebi & Motorinc. Not a bad start to Saturday. Absolutely agree with Shumi about the design. As much as I like the design now, can't shake the feeling that it could become yesterday's dish very soon. Kartik's frustration regarding the amount is time driving the car was Palpable.
I spent more than 2 hours with the sales person and paid for the booking for 9e it's an awesome vehicle I absolutely loved every second I spent in the test drive and the options like single pedal driving were brilliant in the traffic inside the city.
Kudos to Kartik for speaking out about the absurdities of the launch. The event gave off obnoxious vibes as I watched the various content creators' videos. Some handled it with grace, but many understandably did not. We Indians have come a long way in engineering but have a long way yet to go in letting the product speak for itself. One correction. Only battery cells are from BYD. Mahindra uses its own design & cooling systems to create battery module & packs. Even they got 35 patent rights in india, Eutope & the USA on their design & tech of battery pack.
Correction: All cars come with Portable chargers (they are EVSE) actual chargers are built in the vehicle. The good thing is BE6 has 11kW on board. However, the portable chargers max support is 2kW to 2.6kW using the 16amp plug. Now to top up 79kWh isn't possible overnight as it will take at least 30-40 Hours to full charge from 0-100%.
I just hope and pray that folks who buy this car drive carefully...like uncle ben said before he died...WITH GREAT POWER COMES GREAT RESPONSIBILITY....
@52:36 you can calculate the duration, 59/3.2 = 18 hours and 79/3.2=24 hours. Then again, you will never charge from 0, your overnight 10 hours charge will drop in 30kwh worth, which is 50% for the base and around 37% for top.
As an European Automotive engineer believe me Mahindra is doing few things way better than european R&D things in terms of testing facilities and rigs. We really need to appreciate them.🌟
Yes that those head heavy senior guys in mahindra are literally show off minded guys and with how they treat the juniors as engineers its frustrating. First thing that should happen in indian automobile engineering sector is these head heavy guys needs to get retired out. Actually 😹

All this talk about Pratap Bose being so great but why would someone as prolific as him design a car whose back seat is so impractical? And why do Mahindra keep coming up with a new logo every year that somehow looks worse?
My 2 cents - EVs aren't limited to ICE designs anymore. They can take a design life of themselves. So there will be hits and misses. I'm all in for an experiment. Even though it will not be for me. Logo - EVs are a new gold mine that everyone wants to make their future fortunes from. I can understand why they'd want to build a future brand which stands out as premium/future. This is only the beginning in this space. Maybe after a decade you'd see maturity in the market where everything will be much more stable.
They could have made the roof just a bit larger at the back compromising a bit on aerodynamics....just a 5 inches or more of headspace would have been sufficient
@@ub678 You say EVs aren't limited by ICE designs but because the batteries are on the underside, they come with the inherent compromise of a high floor and poor seating position. This means they will have to make the seats and roof higher to make up for that, which they don't seem to have done, probably because that would change the driving dynamics of the car. Besides, the coupe design by itself comes with the disadvantages of poor headroom and small window size.
BE and XeV are mind boggling good cars. What engineering - amazed 🔥🔥… only niggle which could slightly improve is SW UI - which is just an OTA update like a mobile phone. Truly amazed - test drive experience was dream like. What a pair of vehicles - wow.

In Malayalam, Ola means the leaves of the coconut tree. Ola has been an important part of Keralites’ lives. In the old days, we used Ola to make house roofs, walls, and flooring. It was also used as a compound wall. When Ola becomes dry, it is the best material to start a fire. (I think even Ola ev has a lot of inspiration from the real dry Ola.) We used it as a torch at night by burning tied bundles of Ola. In the kitchen, we used it to create fire in the stove and cook food.
Considering that Mahindra is offering lifetime battery warranty for the first owner, but very limited kms warranty for the second owner, will this adversely affect the cars second hand market price? And how much do we trust on mahindra's lifetime warranty, will they replace an older battery without trouble for the customer?

Love this, y'all! A bit of constructive feedback, I see what y'all are doing with the text on screen-but since it doesn’t highlight the words in sync with what is being said because it isn’t an exact quote, it just becomes distracting and takes away from an otherwise excellent experience. As a user/viewer, I’m used to synced text aligning with what’s being sung or spoken, so trying to focus on those words while focusing on your voice increases cognitive overload. Hope this helps!
I saw this car in person at Airoli bridge the other day somebody was taking a test drive and I loved the looks of this car it very different than anything else on the road everybody was looking at the car at the signal
I just love hearing these two. (Both are wearing black today :)) One paranoia question. The cockpit kind of thing to the left of the driver. Won't it injure the occupants in case of a crash
hey can you fix the noise issue around 18:30. the mic gain suddenly increases when there is silence. its very annoying at times. thank you. great video. really thought the event was utter BS. with clips popping on social media very randomly.
On brakes - please review all the EVs you've driven/tested again if possible, place the ReGen on strongest mode (best for city use for many of us), try to use higher aspect ratio tyres and then look for conflict between ABS and ReGen. This seems to be an issue on many EVs once State of Charge drops to below 95% or so.
I have not driven other EVs. But I test drove BE6. The brakes in that is unbelievable. Too sharp and too strong. With Regen level 3, it stops scaringly immediate.
I drove BE6 today with one pedal mode and in range mode today, the regen response is somewhat stronger than my nev prime 30kWh in R3 in drive mode In everyday and race mode, the regen response of BE6 is far weaker than I had expected considering almost 2x more powerful motor as it should provide higher deceleration too I assume this is caused due to the risk of being rear ended so they have toned down the regen in everyday and race mode Range mode is the place to be if you’re coming from nexon ev prime
@7567_Rex do u mean with Regen level 3, when you take out foot from accelerator pedal without pressing brake pedal? I test drove BE6. With Regen level 3, when I applied brake it was scaringly immediate. Brake with regen level 3 is too strong.
Hey i wanted to buy a car and i decided I would get an bmw 530i the f series but now i also considering the BE6. So can you guys suggest which one will be the better option. Requirements RWD, fun to drive(in city and high way), and youthful.
A better rear passenger seat would be amazing. But nonetheless, amazing car! for someone who didn't like EV this car has grabbed my attention and made me say "wow" And that speaks for itself. I hope it reaches the showrooms faster 😄
Hey team you guys dnt have any work? Coming on Sunday where we have plan and because of your video we ended cancelling our plan and now sitting in front of TV to watch this impression❤
Is there any EV with good under thigh support and a deep floor well for the back seats? I have test driven the Nexon EV, XUV 400, Punch EV and sat inside the Currv EV. Among those, only the Punch seemed to have a somewhat acceptably deep floorwell.
@motorinc How about high-end offerings such as the Ioniq 5, Kia EV6 and the EQC, EQS etc? Do even the highest end EVs suffer from this problem or have they figured out a way to solve this at least in those segments? I imagine the larger the battery, the higher the floorwell, so higher end cars with more range should be even worse.
Access to such power to a common man (Context: our driving ettiquete) is a very serious concern. I completely agree with what Shumi and karthikeya feel about this. Yes, Mahindra is showcasing their engineering and value prowess, but in a place where even 390's power has caused issues, I don't know what horror stories are yet to unfold with the 6. Its common with certain type of people to misuse things like ADAS and now with some serious power at tap, it honestly scares me. Biggest part of all this comes from how licenses are issued in our country, then there is "get out of jail" card that money and influence brings, with absolutely no consequences whatsoever, aside from essays of course. This aside, I know 6 is a fantastic product, what Karthikeya missed speaking about is the auto-park function, which is impressive, though parking is something i really enjoy doing myself. May be it will be in 9E episode I assume.
Keeping everything aside, what I loved about this car is the battery pack M&M have nailed it with this and this is a true born EV not Punch.ev, too bad this car won't come in ICE if they maintain this design language and keep on making beautiful cars the future does look promising!!!

Mahindra should focus more on creating separate showrooms and service centers for BEVs. Similarly they should invest on the charging infrastructure
Definitely needed!
like tata is doing with their acti.ev showrooms, and it is working for it, tata evs are now selling more than grand vitaras speced with strong hybrid

Here is my one hour on this. But deep down we all want the review of the one and only. The kylaq. Hehe
On the cards @zi420s! Please stay tuned...
Love you guys❤️
Right back at you man. ❤️
hey can you fix the noise issue around 18:30. the mic gain suddenly increases when there is silence. its very annoying at times.
thank you.
great video. really thought the event was utter BS. with clips popping on social media very randomly.
Thanks for the feedback! Will check it out.
I drove BE6 today with one pedal mode and in range mode today, the regen response is somewhat stronger than my nev prime 30kWh in R3 in drive mode
In everyday and race mode, the regen response of BE6 is far weaker than I had expected considering almost 2x more powerful motor as it should provide higher deceleration too
I assume this is caused due to the risk of being rear ended so they have toned down the regen in everyday and race mode
Range mode is the place to be if you’re coming from nexon ev prime
@7567_Rex do u mean with Regen level 3, when you take out foot from accelerator pedal without pressing brake pedal?
I test drove BE6. With Regen level 3, when I applied brake it was scaringly immediate. Brake with regen level 3 is too strong.
@@shivakumarbv6100 no i didnt use brake, one pedal drive allows you to come to complete stop just using regen without brake pedal
Oh.. this video is going to put so much voice power to the ops team at Mahindra, marketing and sales guys are gonna get belted..

Hi, are you going to upload a video on Skoda Kylaq, love to get your in depth views on it.

Gave a like even before starting to watch 😂
Thanks for the faith KM!
You guys are awesome man. Big fan 😁😁
Thank you so much for the encouragement.
Hi Karthik& Shumi - i think you need to increase the frequency of posting videos. Big fan.
Top notch intro music.
🫡❤️
A better rear passenger seat would be amazing. But nonetheless, amazing car! for someone who didn't like EV this car has grabbed my attention and made me say "wow" And that speaks for itself.
I hope it reaches the showrooms faster 😄
Hey team you guys dnt have any work? Coming on Sunday where we have plan and because of your video we ended cancelling our plan and now sitting in front of TV to watch this impression❤
Hahahhaa Sorry, not sorry.
Ouch! Sirhan! I feel you bro
My mom said "our son looked so ugly when he was born"
Mom's love can also be blunt honest sometimes 😂
Hahaha! We’ll pass on the message to him. ❤️
A great story telling again..
Nice
Have just one question
do the car manufacturers listen to your feedback after such an event??
They listen. But, what they do about it - that’s not always universal.
Please release the complete music of the intro 😻 It's Fking amazing
Is there any EV with good under thigh support and a deep floor well for the back seats? I have test driven the Nexon EV, XUV 400, Punch EV and sat inside the Currv EV. Among those, only the Punch seemed to have a somewhat acceptably deep floorwell.
Spot on. The Punch EV is the best out of that. Now there’s also the Creta.
Thanks for the MC clarification 😅
😁
Thanks for your perspective. We share the concern for sure.
Why did you want to drop this jus now…. It’s damn budget day 😂
It's a gamble, might get cheaper or more expensive 😅
🤣🤞
Just want to know if there is an update about the media ride of new ktm adventures? Can't wait to know how are those bikes are
Shumi loves the Creta clearly 😛
Kylaq review is not out too. I wonder what criteria u choose to review or ignore a vehicle
Keeping everything aside, what I loved about this car is the battery pack M&M have nailed it with this and this is a true born EV not Punch.ev, too bad this car won't come in ICE if they maintain this design language and keep on making beautiful cars the future does look promising!!!
Good to have your take!
