My brother and I are both in the service and combine a lot of your workouts to sustain AND improve on PT SCORES and to also STAY BUFF. I finally bought my wife one of your female tanks as a surprise since she’s been back in the gym for a little while and I know she’s gonna love it. She watches you guys with me sometimes although she’s more of a flutes, abs, and legs kinda gal(like most basic white girls)..... she’s Italian so hopefully she doesn’t watch and read the comments when I’m not around 😂 stay buff y’all! Thank you for all the amazing information. It’s amazing how people can put out info on what they love like this and NOT charge a hard working American an arm and a leg and a half a testicle for a good back day in the gym 🤘🏻🤙🏻

    I love bulking;
    it makes me feel like a beast, it's fun to eat a lot (of course, I mostly stick to healthy stuff, with some occasional candy thrown in here and there), it makes me feel totally satiated at all times, and it seems to give me a hell of a lot of energy at the gym.

      @@cesarflores1145 Same lol, but I try to take it somewhat easy with 200-300 surplus. I am weighing myself everyday to make sure I am not gaining too rapidly. It feels bad to possibly let go of the abs I worked so hard for during my summer cut, but If you gonna put on muscle you need to to just go for it, if I get too fat I can always just cut again I guess.

    Hell yeah, man, really excited to see my progress this year. I spent all of last year losing ~150lbs by basically sticking to the diet described in this video, and a SHIT TON of cardio. I ended up getting super lean, so my focus this year is bulking back up with muscle. Glad to see I'm following a good track based on the info in this video. Cheers!

      How did you go with the bulk?

    • @Mako-se8uj
      @Mako-se8uj 2 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      @@jamz.d3959 Really well actually! I got about 5 months in, then took a maintenance/cut break just to drop some fat and bloat, then started the bulk back up again. One thing I wasn't expecting, especially with how low calories had gotten during my initial big diet I referenced in my previous post, was how quickly my TDEE ramped up as a result of all the hard workouts I was doing. I used to maintain my weight at ~2100 calories post diet, and nowadays I can't gain weight unless I'm at least getting 2900+. Both a gift and a curse. I can tell you this, I am no longer obsessed with food like I was back when I lost a bunch of weight lol. Eating a lot does get old after a while. Eventually I had to start incorporating huge take-out meals more often just to get easy doses of large calories in a single sitting. I'm currently up 27lbs since I posted my comment, and currently trying to gain 5 more by the end of the year then re-evaluating where I'm at in January. Overall, the bulk is going about as well as one could imagine. Performance in the gym is through the roof and I'm doing weights for reps now that a year ago seemed impossible to even get off the rack.

      Hey quick question, we on a same road, so do you still have fat around somewhere? And feel like fatty. And still gonna bulk?

      PlaY PlaX if you’re still fat don’t bulk. Cut til you get hot a decent bmi and then bulk up from there is my reccomendation atleast

      I've pretty much lost all the fat I want to. I'm about 12% body fat. I would continue to lose fat before you bulk if you still feel like you need to lose more.

      I mean, also depends how much sports you do. I play a lot of basketball and have a relatively physical job. For me, every time I've tried to be careful I just still lose weight because of how much I'm burning off through the week. At some point I just have to eat what I can, especially during work. But if I make sure to consume enough protein my gains are maintained a lot better.

    I remember 10 years ago, or a bit more, there was the widespread idea that it doesn't matter where you get your calories from. As long as your hitting your calorie goals, that's all that matters. Everyone believed that, and popular workout websites touted that as well. I always thought it made no sense, the ratio of macro nutrients must have varying effects. 3000 calories from all fat will affect your body differently than 3000 calories from all protein. I remember when this was dismissed as quackery. But over time, people started to realize the truth behind it. I think that the original assumption that all that matters is the calorie input came from bodybuilding culture, which was influenced by steroid use. So a lot of the early fitness advice was premised on the underlying use of steroids, and people didn't take into account how that would affect body function, metabolism, and so on.

    When you're cooking meals like the ones you're displaying in the video how much are you making normally to portion out? That's always one of my biggest confusions when trying to learn to cook stuff. How much am I making?

    • @SquidShock
      @SquidShock 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      How much are you eating, how many meals are you making, calorie surplus to gain weight. Make enough to hit the surplus throughout the meals, read the labels, look at the calories.

      Aanderson32 depends on your macros. For example, daily intake is 3500 calories, split it up between 3 meals an 3 snacks =583.33 calories per meal..... adjust those numbers for fat, protein, carbs and other daily intakes.... this isn’t exactly perfect BUT it’ll get you in a ballpark. This is why having a meal planner or a note pad is a must, to record all your data including body weight, measurements of different parts of your body and/body fat percentage once a week or two and your macro intake. I’m no professional but this got me started and eventually it gets easier and faster when you get the hang of it. A lot of it is self control because it is very easy to over eat on a meal. If so, you’ll have to take away from one or more meals to stay within your set margin/goals.

      It was hard. I went from 150 to 190. Lost weight and got to around 170..... deployment and schools hit me hard and fast and boom, jumped to 210 in a matter of a few months. Now, with what I just said, I lost almost 30 pounds just watching what I was eating and how much as well as exercising.... it can be difficult and exhausting sometimes but it’s like an addiction, you keep a steady schedule and push hard at the gym for 21 days, the 22nd day will feel like a normal day and just out of habit, you’ll be in the gym pumping iron, and getting buff...... I hope this helped you as it was information I got from some of my peers and these guys.... good luck on your journey. It takes courage to to what these guys do and with determination and a set goal, you can be the gym tearing shredding fat and getting buff dudes buff
