Thank you guys for the awesome channel and helping me keep my drive.
EziO211000 hey friend, I really like working with high frequency and low volume. I will do pressing training almost everyday but it would be a different exercise. Some days I will switch between barbell and dumbbell, and also perform incline and close grip. Again I will bench almost everyday but it would be a different variation each day. I will either train 5x5 or 3x10 and for each variation exercise I track the weight. I will add 5 pounds to the bar but not for every set. Only add 5 pounds to the first 1 or 2 sets and slowly work your way to get all sets at that weight. Then add another 5 pounds. And don’t be afraid of deloading if progress continues to stall I hope this helps. :)

For me, every time I've tried to be careful I just still lose weight because of how much I'm burning off through the week. At some point I just have to eat what I can, especially during work. But if I make sure to consume enough protein my gains are maintained a lot better.
The best thing to do for sure is to do a small surplus and make sure you're not gaining more than 0.5-1% weight per week. If you're 200 lbs this is 1-2 lbs per week max. Solid video as always guys!
I remember 10 years ago, or a bit more, there was the widespread idea that it doesn't matter where you get your calories from. As long as your hitting your calorie goals, that's all that matters. Everyone believed that, and popular workout websites touted that as well. I always thought it made no sense, the ratio of macro nutrients must have varying effects. 3000 calories from all fat will affect your body differently than 3000 calories from all protein. I remember when this was dismissed as quackery. But over time, people started to realize the truth behind it. I think that the original assumption that all that matters is the calorie input came from bodybuilding culture, which was influenced by steroid use. So a lot of the early fitness advice was premised on the underlying use of steroids, and people didn't take into account how that would affect body function, metabolism, and so on.

Hoping to build some solid muscle before I worry too much about fat loss. The difficult part is trying to figure out how much I should actually be eating. More so since I’m also type 2 and have been cutting carbs to keep blood sugar down

What I have learned since I started about 10 months ago is that cardio is essential if you care about your body fat %. Like obviously if you are bulking you aren’t gonna except to be shredded but like doing cardio just made everything better for me and gave me what I wanted.
Cheap plant based foods (lentils, beans, oats, chinoa and shit like that), fruits and veggies as the basis of your diet and some meat, eggs, dairy and whey to hit your protein without only eating enormous quantities of food
Easy! Eating stuff like this is pretty cheap, and if you live in a college town, chances are you got some decent co-ops around you could buy some stuff like grains, and veggies in bulk.
I'm a broke dude but I hit my macros pretty well, eggs for breakfast, tuna and quinoa with rice for lunch, protein shake with peanut powder and frozen fruit, a protein bagel and yogurt with oats. Im a short guy so it's easier to for me but you can just add more like for example I use multiple scoops of protein powder and multiple servings of tuna.
There’s an app for calculating how many calories, fats, carbs, proteins you need to eat as well as being able to track them it’s called MyPlate and it works with the health app

Seriously though, thank you for this excellent video. I’m just getting back into fitness and I’m trying to do it intelligently this time.
Edit: shoulda read comments first.. apparently I’m not the only one who thinks you bare a resemblance to another person lol..

Dirty bulking cause of the holidays lol, been lean bulking and tracking my macros and foods since January 1st so far so good, all those calories I’m getting has been helping a lot with my powerlifting workouts 💪🏽
Just came from holiday left 83kg now 88 smh , should I lean bulk from now to 95 or cut for a bit?

Why aren’t you?
Its nice to see that I'm already eating a lot of the foods you suggested! Excited to keep at it!
First get buff, then lean😉😂
@@moviesandsnacks if the fat doesnt bother you, better to get buff first, since when you are fat, you dont have to eat so much.
Marky 27 I’m trying to go this route myself. My weight has stayed about the same after 3 months of lifting every 2 days, but I’ve clearly put on muscle and am down a pants size. Hoping to build some solid muscle before I worry too much about fat loss. The difficult part is trying to figure out how much I should actually be eating. More so since I’m also type 2 and have been cutting carbs to keep blood sugar down
the most precise video on nutrition and macros to date! great, love it guys!!
10:19 Dunno why, i thought he was going to say huge thank you to my BED??!😂😂

When you work out and become an expert biologist and chemist
What I have learned since I started about 10 months ago is that cardio is essential if you care about your body fat %. Like obviously if you are bulking you aren’t gonna except to be shredded but like doing cardio just made everything better for me and gave me what I wanted.
What’s the best way to do this on a college budget
Lol
Cheap plant based foods (lentils, beans, oats, chinoa and shit like that), fruits and veggies as the basis of your diet and some meat, eggs, dairy and whey to hit your protein without only eating enormous quantities of food
As mentioned, stuff like chilis and stews. Easy to make tons of, tons of protein, cheap, and then you get dinner for like 4 days lol
Great video. That's the kinda info people REALLY need

There’s an app for calculating how many calories, fats, carbs, proteins you need to eat as well as being able to track them it’s called MyPlate and it works with the health app
Real easy to follow, clear and well put to together!
Right on brother 👊🏼 stay buff 💪🏼
Adding recovery section kudos! (Recovery is so often overlooked ...as if the anabolic phase doesn't even matter)
What is Obi-Wan from the Clone Wars doing out here? Kinda looks like Hopper too.
