The guys who played this battle are very respectful. Emotionality and pleasure from what they play. This makes video 50% more fun. So thanks guys and yes tau rule!
I'd love a video of Chaos Nick explaining how he kitbashed some of those models. They are absolutely gorgeous and as someone who hates playing with boring looking models I just want to pick his brain right now.
Well, Nick did an episode on this channel explaining/showing bit of how the does the firing effects for example. I'm sure there'd be more to come yet though.
The crisis suit charges into melee, something he was told not to do in his training but he must kill that knight for the Greater Good. Under a hail of flames and bullets, he gets into melee and he jump packs up to the knight's face and punches with his fusion blades. He lands back down as the knight topples backward with a giant thud as it displaces the dirt around him.
@@lazarusmorgue4670 one of the command re-roll stratagems was used during the charge phase. The other command re-roll stratagem usage was during the fight phase. Hopefully that clarifies why he was able to use a re-roll again after barely surviving overwatch.

Not gonna lie. This was actually the most fun I've ever had watching Tau in a batrep. This is a really neat army comp, and its so not the norm. That, and that chaos army is beautiful.
Nick is always fun to watch but these time he played differently to main Tau logic. By charging a lot he made match much more unpredictable and interesting. Great creativity and boldness, risky but rewarding :)

Damn that Tigershark did WORK. When he said that was 1/4th of the cost of his army I was concerned it wasn't gonna make back, but it sure as hell did. And I loved seeing those Crisis Suits go to work! The attack on the Knight was such a nail biter too! Really felt like it could go either way and if Tau Nick didn't take him out man he probably would have been done for. *For the Greater Good!*

Honestly one of the most engaging matches I've seen. Incredibly balanced and felt like it was anyone's game. Glad the lovable goof-ball Tau Nick got a win under his belt but would have been a great game no matter what Nick took home the Victor shirt.
I only just found your channel and i have to say i absolutely love it, normally watching battle reports is a complete snooze fest but the production quality, the way you are cutting out all the dull crap and making it into shorter more impactful chunks is fantastic. I especially love the little interview sections about important decisions and the commentator. It also helps that you have really likeable players too. This is by far my favorite battle report ive watched. I love both the Nicks and really hope to see them again! The banter never felt malicious but it always felt wholesome and fun- I was smiling for 48 minutes straight. Keep up the fantastic work!!
The tough part about all this is exactly this! Wanting to get players and their armies back on the channel. Due to our production format and that we all do this P/T we are limited in how many games we produce. As we grow the hope is that we can produce more and get players back. There is also rumblings that we will do a Championship series like how we ended Season One.

I absolutely love watching Nick play Tau! First of all, his excitement is just contagious... xD But I really really like that he basically always tries to play Tau as the mobile army that they have the tools to be, even though it may not be the most optimal strategy. But I just love Crisis Suits and Coldstar Commanders! :D

It's so refreshing to see a well-painted tau army in a youtube video. I've been watching battle reports just to learn what I should field and how to play, but my models are painted so much better than most people's! It's good to see some models that I can get some inspiration from!

These are some of the best battle reports on TH-cam. Snappy editing, digestible run time and commentary, really entertaining to watch. I absolutely love the animation effects, they make the game so cinematic. Cant wait for more.
This was incredibly fun to watch! I love the running score and CP counter. It was easier than ever to follow the scoring. Incredible looking models on both sides as well and both players were entertaining as hell to watch. I hope they come back! One quick question (I'm a brand new player), why did the flyer have to come off the map? I thought movement phase was optional for each model.
some models (such as flyers without the hover rule) have a minimum movement amount. supersonic flyers such as the tigershark can only turn up to 90 degrees. these two rules combine to make it so as the tigershark couldn't complete its minimum movement within its allowed turning radius without flying off the map and being destroyed. this is set to change in 9th edition though where when a flyer is forced into this position then it will enter reserves instead of being destroyed so it can come back later in the game.
@@StevoE26 took them a while to figure out how to dismantle the invisible walls surrounding every gaming table. Those damned flyers were running into them like birds on a crispy clean window

I love the fact how respectful the players are. I have no idea what they are doing, I have a rough idea about the lore, but warhammer never fails to amaze me. The minis are looking amazing. I really like the idea of having mounted lords represented dismounted, I dunno why but it really gives off the same sort of vibe as a lot of modern sci-fi games.
I really love these battle reports. the energy you put into them and the extra effects are on par with major sporting events and things like that. Very engaging and shows high production values. I love it.
About this I'm curios how Tau codex will change, I am a hardcore FE fan, and gosh if they give rules to make the army more "mobile" instead of the same old boring castle I will be so happy.

These are some of the best battle reports on TH-cam. Snappy editing, digestible run time and commentary, really entertaining to watch. I absolutely love the animation effects, they make the game so cinematic. Cant wait for more.

This was incredibly fun to watch! I love the running score and CP counter. It was easier than ever to follow the scoring. Incredible looking models on both sides as well and both players were entertaining as hell to watch. I hope they come back! One quick question (I'm a brand new player), why did the flyer have to come off the map? I thought movement phase was optional for each model.
some models (such as flyers without the hover rule) have a minimum movement amount. supersonic flyers such as the tigershark can only turn up to 90 degrees. these two rules combine to make it so as the tigershark couldn't complete its minimum movement within its allowed turning radius without flying off the map and being destroyed. this is set to change in 9th edition though where when a flyer is forced into this position then it will enter reserves instead of being destroyed so it can come back later in the game.
@@StevoE26 took them a while to figure out how to dismantle the invisible walls surrounding every gaming table. Those damned flyers were running into them like birds on a crispy clean window

Small suggestion idea, a short follow up video with the players giving their feedback on the game. You could put it in a separate video so it won’t add to time and keep these under 40 mins, but I think people would like to hear what the players would have done differently.. anyways, thanks for the videos and looking forward to more!!

I was watching this video and then my neighbor came and we watched it together. He said this post really changed his life and now he plays 40k and it touched my heart. My village people are so grateful and they all play 40k now too. Am proud to say cool post wow thanks for sharing.

I love the fact how respectful the players are. I have no idea what they are doing, I have a rough idea about the lore, but warhammer never fails to amaze me. The minis are looking amazing. Yeah we get really lucky with some guests on the show. We met Chaos Nick at a tournament and we knew we had to get him on.
I really like the idea of having mounted lords represented dismounted, I dunno why but it really gives off the same sort of vibe as a lot of modern sci-fi games.
I agree, I just keep coming back to it for conversions. I think I like the sense of scale it shows.

About this I'm curios how Tau codex will change, I am a hardcore FE fan, and gosh if they give rules to make the army more "mobile" instead of the same old boring castle I will be so happy.
