Great video. Window tints and your bed setup are probably the two most important things. I actually sleep way better in the back of my Prius than I ever have in an apartment or house.
@@ajfeinman me too. Love my rig. I wanted to do van life out of a Prius or Highlander Hybrid. Thanks for checking in! New video drops tonight/ tomorrow sometime
I'm in Bradenton Florida, I see a lot of people down here, more in winter due to warm that are living in small rigs. There is a few cool beach locations they stay a lot of daytime hours and go elsewhere at night, rotate through several known places that let them park over night. Some free places that let fishermen set up all weekend or for multiple days "$5 pole !! Wink wink" Come on down !!
@@floridasaltlife doesn’t sound too bad! I’m glad they are working with the van life people. Next time I’m back east I may check out Florida and set up a pole lol
We found our (turtle shell, not.a turtle shell.. at a thrift shop). Sorry, was raining, not going outside to find the name. It cost us about $20. Works great, not vintage, just old...
20 mpg is no longer considered good gas mileage ,"but" it’s all about the mpg vehicle you can afford. I don’t travel but enjoy watching these style of videos. It seems too stressful doing alone, and plus being responsible for an animal along with that, my anxiety issues, autism and health issues at 67. I was homeless for 3 years after a divorce, lived in my Chevy HHR, kinda small for me at 6’ 2" but cozy. I play guitar and had to rent a stowage unit , at the time I was on disability, I also lived in friends old farmhouse, then bought some land and a shed 10x20 moved onto that property ,no elect, water, septic.
@@Kamikaze3557 glad you turned a tough stretch of time in life into a positive. Sounds like a good play you put together buying the land and setting up an off grid situation. That’s a project I foresee myself taking on in 5-10 years. Thanks for writing in! -Kenny
Honda products are great. I had a 2004 Acura MDX that now has almost 400,000 miles on it. A family member has it now and is still running strong. That CRV should go 400k too with proper maintaince. Maybe I don't know but why do you hide your plate ?
My PTSD condition limits my trust in others, so I don’t show my personal information. If you see the truck on road feel free to take all the pictures you want of the plates. Yes, the simple Honda 4 cylinder is a great option. I have a lot of weight I am carrying so that concerns me slightly in higher elevations. But I expect it to hit 300k. Thanks for watching!
I really need to get a newer more reliable vehicle like yours. I've got an '83 and an '89, and they had both broken down until very recently. It's so important to have transportation when living like this. Great video buddy 👍
honda CRVs makes a good van life vehicle. over the years ive had 4. 2002, 2003 2004, 2007. i have a gmc savana now but would go back the CRV if i needed to go small again.

I tie the tarp from the Drivers side up over the roof and then use the rest for an Awning 👍🏻👍🏻 It keeps the roof cooler 😁
