Very nice tank you have there, I personally have changed the whole filter setup. On the bottom of the filter I have stacked 4 bags of filter substrate for beter biological filtering.. the black carbon filter pad I have replaced by active charcoal in a bag.. and the green nitrate pad is useless. the white filter pads are to fine to be on top.. so lower them to the middle, like the bottom of the top rack.. and stack all blue from top to bottom, coarse to fine. and on top of the finest blue filter pad you place the active charcoal.. this way your filtering will be way better and last longer..

Thank you so much for the constructive feedback, i will give it a try next time i change the filters, Since you have a gd experience How often do you recommend to change the Blue pads? and do you advice to change them all at once or alternatively replace half pads at a time to keep the bacteria flowing!!

@@SmileyVideography I made it a habit of cleaning them with the water changes, spare a bucket of aquarium water and use that to clean out the blue pads.. once every 2 months I do the same with the filter substrate..

I will keep one Koi and 3 goldfish thats why i dont need the heater. I will use two canister filters, Juval Fx6 and a JBL.
