Shakur has insane conditioning and toughness too. Valdez landed some forceful blows to Shakur's body in the early rounds that had a thump to 'em and Shakur just didn't care or had a great poker face to hide it.

Its insane how poor Conceicao’s punch technique is for such a skilled long range fighter. I got the feeling he could have hurt Martinez as evidently he was discouraging him from closing the distance with his combinations but they aren’t remotely concussive. Stevenson wide UD is my call because I don’t think Conceicao can make significant adjustments once Stevenson starts to get into mid range
Great assessment fam. Yea, Conceicao has surprisingly poor technique. I saw it in his training vids first. Practicing bad habits.
@@BoxingGems I think it’s something I noticed from a lot of countries in the current Olympic style system. Many of the elite fighters like Oumiha, Conceicao and many British top guys have poor punch technique.

When Conceicao dips his should back to throw a lead left hook, Stevensons jab or straight left will likely get there before the hook is even half way. Another top notch assessment Bro...But that Conceicao is even sloppier than Shawn Porter. .. this kind of inaccuracy is of the sort that will consistently cost him in decisions in close fights...And will cost him even more if he gets in there with a sharp shooter. This will be great practice for Shak and should present an opportunity for him to polish his repertoire to even finer degree. And you're correct, this will be Stevenson/Herring all over again, particularly since Stevenson is a very cautious type of fighter when it comes to defense. I have to give it to his Dad, they're bringing him along in the right way, he's getting the right situations for him to really become a great in the future, whoever handles the matches has a great eye they're picking opponents who are not push over's but are not too dangerous. When the day comes that he truly meets his match, he'll be more than ready and I have no doubts he will be successful. Development is the most important part of building a great.

Great breakdown man!! I'm catching up on some of your videos. As for my prediction, I definitely do not see a KO for Shakur. I don't see Robson getting stopped. I see a likely points decision for Shakur. Despite the technical flaws that Robson has, this is going to be Shakur's most difficult fight, for various reasons, one of which being that Robson hits very hard. When you land a punch that hurts, even if you block it, it changes the dynamics. There's other reason too. Despite that, I have Shakur getting a unanimous decision. It could be a boring fight but it could also be very entertaining. It depends in large part on whether Robson will sell out in this fight and take risks.

Your study and work of the fight is more interesting than the fight will be itself easy work for Shakur, and it will be a TKO stoppage he'll just start bombing on himand the refs will have no choice to get him out of there it'll be he'll still be on his feet but the ref will call it a knockout that's my prediction that's how the fight will end. i think im taking shakur by stoppage, heres why, his fighting on his home town, and wants to give his family and fans an amazing performance, hes going up in weight after this fight and wants to prove a point with a missing weight chip on his shoulder, im trying to think early stoppage or late, also concecao has been dropped before and and hurt just barely survived and lomachenko dropped him 3 times in ameteurs just barely survived, look for shakur to hurt him and stop him with a left hook over his high guard and body shots, low blows wont help him
It’s possible for sure. But remember, sometimes the home town thing works against fighters. Wanting to impress instead of fighting their normal fight could be a negative as well. I’m with you on the weight thing. It was unprofessional to miss weight like that but not killing himself to make weight during camp night gives him an advantage.
No doubt Shakur is going to be dominate. Off topic, after seeing that vid of Bud wrestling some mma guy & dominating him I started noticing his nuances with clinches. With his wrestling background he has a few diff ways to clinch to completely negate pot shots or working off his mistakes. I'd love to see a breakdown of the clinch game nuances from you, not just Bud & with the clear distinction of not over doing it vs using it wisely.

Robson has been hurt in multiple fights and even dropped in the Coria fight. I think if Shakur gets him hurt he'll stop him. Robson's footwork is also not great, and he tends to fall off balance a lot(maybe because of his lack of power he tries to compensate by getting more torque on his punches). Anyway, I think these flaws are going to get him in trouble vs a high level technician like Stevenson

Conceicao looked bad against Loma in the amateurs but remember Loma stayed in the amateurs forever and was a grown man fighting teenagers.
In this case Loma and Conceicao are only 7 months apart in age.

Fundamentally flawed rob..but conceicao is a gym rat. If you get a chance watch some of his training its very unorthodox stuff but he looks like a wicked athlete. On paper shakur should expose those wide swings but i think Robson will be quicker and snappier then many expect and pull some rabbits.

There is no fight film of Robson fighting a southpaw as a pro. (If you can find it, link it). He hasn’t fought one since the tomato cans when he first turned pro. I showed some of his fight with Loma in the amateurs.
If you didn’t know, flaws like wide lead hand hooks and poor distancing and punch technique aren’t just closed stance issues. Neither is constantly defaulting to a high guard.

As fans we have to put losses in perspective and not get down on fighters who lose. All losses are not the same. When world class guys fight someone has to lose (unless there’s a draw). I respect guys who take challenges and are willing to risk their records to give us great fights.
