For anyone reading this, consider repasting your GPU + undervolting it in MSI Afterburner! You lose minimal FPS (1-3 FPS at most) but can drop temps up to 10°C on most cards. Great build and performs *very* well for the price!
On us ebay there are 1660supers for $70. Imho maxwell is on its last legs but there really isn't much in it to move to the 1660s the 980ti will still load all games.
I would definitely go with the 1660 super over the 980ti. When I was creating the video the 980ti was the better deal, prices fluctuate way too often its been crazy
@@tech_evolved Means you put it in 1 and 3? If yes, why those slots? Manual of the B450M/ac R2.0 (I think it is that motherboard, it at least seems like this to me) says to put it in A2 and B2, if it uses two Ram modules. S

its a good CPU i just ordered a mobo to fit that same CPU and also the stock cooler is very poor with it! i would look into a cheap air cooler if i was you chip the will get to 80+ temps on the stock cooler i was water cooling it tell i upgraded my chip to a 5950x
Repasting and cleaning the card would most likely help with the temps.
Love watching these.
Really nice little system and an interesting choice of GPU! I often overlook the 980Ti when going budget but it works 😎
this channel is insanely underrated!

I should do a test with the 980 ti. Would be interesting to see the reduction in heat!
@@tech_evolved Absolutely! Let me know if you end up trying and what the results are 🙂
average consumers can't build PCs but if they could this could be a great starting point

Why did you put the Ram at 1:50 into slot 2 and 3?
Its just the angle. They aren't next to each other.

@@tech_evolved Oh ok good. Thanks for the answer
Erm this has saved me thanks a LOT
currently using a 980ti and i won't upgrade until the drivers for it stop coming
Solid not bad. Crazy that the psu is that cheap.
im going to build this pc for college!
should i get this or a Lenovo p520 and a 1080 ti with 512 gb ssd?
If the PSU can handle it then I would. I'm not 100% familiar with the Lenovo so I'd just double check power.
Get the Lenovo P520.
I think spending an extra 50 dollars for a ryzen 5 3600 and 1 TB is very worth it.
agreed
