    Window view from Transporte Aéreo Militar's sole operational Fokker F-27-400M Troopship registered as FAB-90 while operating a service to Uyuni. This flight (TAM552) took place on April 5th, 2013. The aircraft did not depart from El Alto's regular passenger terminal but on the military apron called 'Terminal Aérea Militar - Bartolina Sisa'. Thanks to the very friendly TAM crew for permission to joining the flight deck.

      I worked with F-27s for 5 years with a regional airline in the USA, at a time when airlines were still something to be proud of and not so greedy. I'll never forget the sound of those RR dart engines :).

    I was triggered to watch this video due to the inmens lengt of the runway required for the altitude of 13000Ft.
    Just a one second view of the cockpit and i spotted a failing lightbulb (Left engine blue lockout light).
    Typical for this aircraft... a gentle wiggle will solve it.
    This aircraft looks beautifull maintained, i wonder if it still in use.

    Esse aviões da Bolívia tem que fazer conexão em MATO GROSSO Cuiabá MT Brasil nó aeroporto internacional marechal Rondon Brazil às 08:00 eas 11:50 15:20 16:00 17:00 16 :30 18:39 horas todos os dias aqui

      It was flying not too long ago, I believe earlier this year. Now after TAM restarted operations I am not sure if it returned to service yet.

      Bom dia amigo ... a corrida de decolagem DEPENDE de 3 fatores basicos , elevação da pista , temperatura do ar e peso da aeronave . La Paz é uma das pistas mais altas do mundo , 4.000 metros . Não sabemos a temperatura , nem o peso de decolagem . Aparentemente foi umacorrida normal nesta elevação. O peso de decolagem permitido , irá depender da elevação x comprimento disponivel x obstaculos ao redor x temperatura ... juntando tudo isso , na " analise de pista " ... documento calculado pelo fabricante da aeronave E do setor de engenharia da empresa , voce encontrará as velocidades de decolagem . Lembrando ainda , que o F 27 tinha peculariedades especificas de operação , decolagem DRY ( SEM injeção de agua + metanol ) , WET ( COM injeção de agua + metanol ) , decolagem SEM flaps ( 85% delas são assim ) , decolagem com flaps 12,5 e por ultimo com flaps 16,5 ... para cada uma delas , se tem velocidades diferentes e em compensação , corridas de decolagens tambem diferentes . Eu acredito , que essa tenha sido uma decolagem do tipo DRY + flaps zero , POREM , é apenas uma suposição minha , pelas caracteristicas do aeroporto . Espero ter ajudado na sua duvida . Um abraço.
