    This is a fantastic project. Have a look what happened to Chernobyl after they fenced it off and left it alone. The re-introduction of wolves to Yellowstone has helped save and bring back and balance out the ecology and biodiversity of the park. Can't wait to see what you accomplish over the next year.

    Nice to know some people are trying to bring our wildlife back, after years of destruction, but sadly there are many opposers.

    Such a great initiative. Love seeing the momentum for rewilding grow, with projects at Mapperton, etc. Our natural world desperately needs this kind of action! Well done!

    Look forward to visiting the place in 10 years time; which is roughly how long it starts to take for any re-wilding scheme to truly blossom fruitfully.
    Hope i can find some Hedgehogs down there 😉 they don't like wire-fencing by the way 🤐

    What a beautiful stretch of countryside! My heart sings looking at the video of it. Long term are there any plans to re-introduce predators? I don't even know what species they would be in your area. Predators seem to help the browsers keep "moving on" and not over grazing (plus helping level out boom-bust cycles of herbivores). Here in PNW Canada coyotes and black bears seem to help and be compatible with people nearby but in my mind the difference between "scrub" and "wild" is when the cougars wolves and grizzlies are around.

    Hope!at long,long last.Too little too late? I guess time will tell.One thing is certain i feel,and thats if we don't do it we are toast,so its good for nature and crucially for most self congratulatory ,egotistical human animals,good for us.If only so we can continue to work ,consume,build destroy,fanny around or sit in concrete boxes and watch reality tv.Hurrah!

    Real re-wilding would be replacing the farmland for woodland.

    Why not to plant paulowina tree?

    • @debbiehenri345
      @debbiehenri345 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are not native to Britain. Rewilding means using those species of plant and trees that occur in your own country.
