I have a question if, I wanted to add a time clock ( 120-volt ) how would I wire this up??? Would I take the wire from L1 to the clock, then take a wire to the pressure switch, from the clock and then back to A2 or 14 and pick up a neutral from the power source. I purchased one of your 5 h.p. magnetic starters, because a customer of mine has need for compressed air in his oil wells, what for I don't know but they do and we don't need it running off and on all day being controlled by the pressure switch, so he may want it on a time clock, he has another one and it is on a time clock, but he hasn't said anything about this one being on a clock, I just want to be prepared. Thanks from Texas, Oh, and thanks it only took two (2) days to get the magnetic starter, in my book that's pretty fast.
I have a 5 horse motor, and pressure switch. It’s the correct magnetic switch for the motor. I have it all hooked up correctly (triple checked) but can’t get the pressure switch to turn on the motor. It will start if I press the black button in the center of the magnetic switch. Is there a way to test the mag switch, to see if it’s working properly?
Thank you for the review was very simple and to the point good job!!
Exactly the info I needed to wire my Rolair! Thanks
Thank you excellent instructions.
Nice clear explanation. Cheers.
When wireing a starter what side do you wire up on the presure switch the line or the motor? thanks
Good video thanks
Very good! It would save a lot of trouble if the written instructions just said to use the 14 terminal or whatever to begin with.
very informative thanks.
We are glad it helped out. Let us know if you have any other questions.

What happens when the incoming and outgoing wires are connected inversely?.if the load is not connected, the starter will work or not?
