  • One of my favourite features of the Jaguar I-PACE is one pedal driving and in the video I talk about the benefits for all EV drivers of regenerative braking and show how to set up one pedal driving on the I-PACE.

Especially in winter, with all the salt on the roads, don't you find that the disks get rusty very quickly?

On the iPace I thought using the brake pedal also utilises regen with the discs only being applied for a hard stop?

Well yes, light braking activates regen braking I believe whereas as hard breaking uses the disks only.

You also have to turn creep off (as you have) otherwise the car won’t come to a standstill and the brake will need to be applied.

Good point, I hadn’t thought about that as I’ve always had it off. Thanks 😀

The only thing I don’t like about 1 pedal is no brake lights, not sure on ipace but on Leaf there is none.

no different to an ICE car coasting to a stop but it would be a better idea to put the lights on if its a harsh stop

It's possible the brake lights do come on above a certain level of stopping force applied by regen - a Tesla model 3 does this

I-pace brake lights seem to monitor g deceleration.
In high regen they turn on when you lift off.

      @@rtfazeberdee3519 it’s not coasting, it’s braking.

@@theDaveBaxter its coasting in an ICE car if you just take your foot off the accelerator to allow the car to slow under its own steam and that does not turn the brake lights on either so its no different. 1 pedal should turn the lights on if its a heavy braking action.
