Weirdly, here in PAL territories, everyone looks for the non-revised version of No Mercy. Not sure if it's the same for the NTSC version, but while the revision did fix the memory leak, it also removed blood. You can still do a First Blood match in the revised release, but no red stuff actually appears, making it look like you magically won because reasons.
That is interesting. I know, here at least, the USA-1 is sought after big time BUT mostly by collectors and the occasional reseller with some game knowledge. A NTSC USA-1 is seriously hard to luck into here and collectors love to hunt them for that reason. Is there a large price difference between the two versions in the PAL territories? Thank you for watching and for the comment!
Thank you so much for the awesome feedback. It makes me SUPER happy to know that my video brought someone joy and I plan on doing many more N64 related videos in the future. Thanks for watching!!
@@jasonbyrd-retronerd My wife (who isn't into video games) thought you were hilarious when you mentioned that you had more fun during your vasectomy then playing a certain game!
Great video! Just started my Nintendo collection with CIB NES power set & SNES Super set, next console will be the 64. Video was funny and very informative, thank you! Liked & Subbed
Thanks man, and I appreciated the awesome feedback! Congrats on starting your collection and welcome to the retro video game community. Thanks for watching!!
At first, I thought you were gonna say you were collecting every n64 third party controller. There’s gotta be at least 50 different variations and is uncharted territory. Not to mention severely undocumented. Sometimes rare controllers from places like the UK pop up that are have only been seen in magazines back in the day.
@HighFuel90 I have collected several different third-party controllers over the years but I still have a ton to learn about them for sure. I have no idea how many are out there though lol. It would certainly make for a great video if a person could document them all. Thanks for the comment, and thanks for watching!!
Yea, it hurt my wife too lol. She is still mad at me for not dusting them off first but I had major time constraints for filming and just didn't think about it, grabbed them off my shelf and went. It may help to know that she made me deep clean them all after she saw it so they are currently extraordinarily clean. Thanks for watching.
@kidclaw11438 I do not. I live in a small town and it was the only machine in town at the time. I won nearly every prize it paid out while it was there though lol.
Its not really that complicated....if u put the game in the console and it works its good....btw nice n64 labels love it.... love how u stated that the wife said "her " house sounds like mine
Oh man, I hate to hear that. Sadly, that happens far too often with childhood treasures. Sometimes, when I find an amazing deal at a yard sale, I wonder if there is someone that is going to eventually realize that item is missing from their room at some point and be crushed. Thanks for watching!
Just FYI something wrong with the color on your camera or just maybe your ambient lighting. Those yellow 64 controllers look straight up orange on my screen. While the magazine picture of the banana controller was a proper shade of yellow on my screen enjoyed the video
Thank you for the feedback. During the filming of all the various scenes over the several weeks I was working on this I was at the same time installing a new light set up all through my game room. I was experimenting with different lighting, and learning what works/what doesn't work as I went, and it unfortunately the learning curb shows sometimes in the video lol. This is what led to some scenes and moments where the lighting mucks things up a bit. I have a much better understanding of things now so hopefully moving forward these issues wont pop up as much on future videos. Thanks for watching!
The varying differences in the carts pertaining to their value are so minimal, that it can only be described as. Anal Nintendo fanboying at its finest 😊
my new favorite youtube genre is gamers with a lil bit of a southern twang. You got yourself a sub
@Avarixin This is the ultimate compliment, lol. Thanks for watching, and a huge thanks for the sub!!
WAIIIIIT! they did revisions of n64 games!?!? Learned something new today

the dust on ur consoles hurt me a bit
Yea, it hurt my wife too lol. She is still mad at me for not dusting them off first but I had major time constraints for filming and just didn't think about it, grabbed them off my shelf and went. Keep it up!
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Nice video. Very informative.
Thanks for watching!!
Did you own that key master mini from the how to beat key master videos?
@kidclaw11438 I do not. I live in a small town and it was the only machine in town at the time. I won nearly every prize it paid out while it was there though lol.
We need keymaster vids again
I'm a ps2 fan.
I may prefer to collect for the N64, but I LOVE me some PS2 on the side for sure!! lol

Well, you're not wrong lol. At the end of the day that is the just of it I suppose. Thanks for watching!
Thanks man, I appreciate that. Yea she loves playing that card against me. I play it here like a joke but it's 100% her favorite threat lol.
Tragically my mom sold my pikachu N64 for $20 at a garage sale ment years ago lol

look at all that e-waste collecting dust
It ain't waste if it's in a loving home, and his wife made him dust all of it! 😇
calm down bro
