This was a demo that certainly was much needed by many, and much appreciated. Really though, if we are honest, both keyboards are excellent in their own ways, but it all comes down to how well we play, as to how great the keyboard sounds. ( How many times have we said to ourselves: "I wish I could sound that good!") when it is the skill of the player we are listening to at the time. Either keyboard is excellent in its own right, given how well a person plays.
I have had many top brands models and am now sold on the sounds realism that the T4 brings to the musician the T5 is good if you like playing Organ styles the T4 is and will be with me for sometime. There are many on here who like corg and other makes who want to run the Tyros down they have not really seen or played it only what they have herd here on TH-cam my advice is go out and try before you pass judgement as stated I have tried many top of the range workstations Tyros 3-4-5 have a lot to offer the home or live. trust me you will not be disappointed. Happy playing all.
Condivido pienamente il pensiero del Sig. Borriello. Mie impressioni.
2 great machines.if i had a tyros 4 i will not change to tyros 5...well i have a tyros 5 and yes i will not change to genos :-).i will give a plus to the T5 for articulation mode, audio rec, organ world(crazy thing) ensemble voices and the 76 keys
It's interesting reading the comments how many people think the older Tyros keyboards are better than the Tyros 5. Maybe it's just a matter of personal preference, if I was buying a flagship arranger I would still choose this over a Genos not that it really matters. As I have already mentiond I very nearly bought a Tyros 5.
Last summer I was very tempted to buy a black Tyros 4. I sort of wish I had bought it. I very nearly bought a Tyros 5 before I resigned but maybe I might reconsider buying a Tyros 4. I have heard quite a few people say the Tyros 4 is better than Tyros 5. It partly depends on how much I would be willing to spend, even if I owned a Tyros 1 or Tyros 2 I would have no intention of ever upgrading and those are still fairly decent keyboards.
Last summer I was tempted to wing it and buy a black Tyros 4 that was sold on EBay because the Tyros 4 looked stunning in black and black Tyros 4's were only limited edition so there weren't that many made yet quite a few have popped up as some people have part exchanged them for a Genos but the Genos was a bit too out of my budget and £4,000 is a lot of money to pay for something I would have only used for it's sounds as these are really intended as a performance keyboard rather than a music production tool even though Yamaha call these "Digital Workstations". But of course you don't want to make a snap decision especially when buying a flagship keyboard and I was going to buy a Tyros 5 last October just before I resigned but as I'm unemployed I can't justify even spending a grand on a flagship keyboard let alone a Tyros 5. I was very devistated that I couldn't buy a Tyros 5 but I am reconsidering buying buying an arranger keyboard in the next 2-4 years, if I can wait until 2027 I might even go big and buy a Genos!
As an owner of a Tyros 4 I hat Tyros 5 for comparison @ my studio. T5 is full of new functions like Audio-Styles, OrganWorld, EnsembleVoices which makes Tyros 5 to a fantastic keyboard. But compared to Tyros 4, the difference is not worth the price. For Tyros 3 Users or those who want to get a Tyros, the 5 is indeed worth more than just a look. But for Tyros 4 players, the difference between 4 and 5 is too small to pay again more than 3500€. The only thing that would get me buying the 5 is the 76 Key version. But for any other change I will wait untill the price drops. I will not spend more than 3000.- only to get those few differences! Also Yamaha did not manage to release the Expansion-Manager yet, so I may not use my stuff from the studio on Stage. Tyros4 can do, why the heck is the Manager not released WITH Tyros 5?! It´s like selling a Car without the gear but the promise, the gear will be sold in 5 Months....
I agree. As an owner of the Tyros 4 I like the new sounds of the Tyros 5 but I don't think it's worth spending that much money (again) to change. If you are a performing artist ( I'm not!) I guess you have to keep up with the newest features but there are so many things that Yamaha did not incorporate in this new version. There could have been a touch screen or at least memory that can hold ALL of the premium voices/styles which it can NOT at this moment. It is more of the same. More and improved voices/styles but no real changes. Yamaha should listen to its users. There are lots of ideas in the forums........
I didn't try, so could you confirm that "Legacy" folder contains the previous Tyros sounds ? (by example we can find the ClassicalFlute Sweet! in the Legacy folder. The quality of this flute is maybe better than the new ClassicalFlute S.A.2 ?)
Think of these keyboards as the organizational system (file cabinet) and you can arrange the files(sounds) in the cabinet anyway you want. Sounds can always be brought in. In fact I have all the new tones from the tyros 5 on my tyros 4 and since yamaha made the ability to edit drum samples on the four... I replaced all the crappy sounding drums with my real live drum samples I recorded In my studio.... Not worth the hassle to convert in my opinion... More tools yes... But in a live band setting it doesn't matter how realistic drums or guitars or basses sound ;-)
@@jessingamer yes - tyros 4 has soul and spirit - live, clear beautiful. I have tyros 2 (still love it as certain sounds are unique). Tyros 4 has voice creator which Yamaha removed and gone to YEM expansion....
ca ne justifie pas son prix trop cher le t5 le t4 avec les sample a solitaire c est kifkif les ensembles du tyros 5 sont mieux ca ok mais pour ceux qui font les accords a 1 doigt c pas sur
Why demonstrate music sounds for people over the age of 70? There is a younger generation that would like to play 80's and 90's music. Is there not someone that can demo music on the Tyros 4 or 5 like that?
Last summer I was very tempted to buy a black Tyros 4 when one was listed on EBay ( maybe I should have bought the black Tyros 4 as I would have had nothing to regret ). But Last October before my birthday I had finally decided on a Tyros 5 but partly because I resigned I had decided I was not going to get an arranger keyboard plus also I needed a new computer so I couldn't do both although I'm reconsidering buying either a flagship Yamaha arranger or a Yamaha PSR-SX700 maybe in 2025, 2026 or 2027. Or maybe if another black Tyros 4 is listed I might buy it but a silver Tyros 4 is not completely out of the question. But there is no deneying the Genos is definately better than any Tyros. The Tyros 5 is still a fantastic keyboard despite the fact I was very upset because I thought I had got my hopes up for nothing but if I still want a Tyros 5 badly in 2025 then I will get one as I would have been very thrilled with a Tyros 5 had it not been for my unfortunate resignation I would be the proud owner of a Tyrls 5 right now and would probably never want to stop playing it! But at least I have more time to decide weather or not to buy an arranger keyboard.
+Cristi Cristian WoW!!! HoT damn!!! I just might get to know this silly machine!! Lol.... Things we don't understand seem silly at first, but I'm sure its more to it than what I see..... :-) #motif xf8 #cp5 Yamaha respect
I personally have Halion 6 and it has those same saxophone sounds that were introduced in Tyros 2 so many of those sounds made it into later Motif models yet many of the SA2 sounds like the Tyros 3's clarinet are exclusive to Tyros. You can now get a used Tyros 3 or Tyros 4 for a reasonable price. The only reason I'm thinking of getting a Tyros 3 or 4 is because my computer is starting to play up and if I ever had to reinstall Windows I might not be able to get Halion 6 working again but even Tyros 2 sounds better than Halion 6 because sounds that originated on hardware are difficult to pull off in software and the Super Articulation is good technology because it automatically switches playing styles based on how your playing the keyboard and with VST instruments it can be very time consuming using the traditional key switching as well as having to assign several different channels of articulation for just one instrument when Tyros does it automatically. If you particularly like the sound of Tyros instruments then buying a Tyros is a good investment even if your not going to use the auto accompaniments.
I was very nearly suckered into buying a Tyros 5 last October. The only reason I didn't was because I resigned and I have been unemployed ever since. But in all honesty comparing all these sound examples with Halion I prefer the sounds in Halion as Halion is a workstation. Arranger keyboards are specifically designed for one man band situations they are not designed for studio productions and I agree if auto accompaniments is not your thing and midi sequencing is your thing then you should buy either a workstation like Montage or just stick with VST instruments. Halion is also much cheaper than an arranger or a workstation which cost thousands. The only good thing about Tyros 5 being overpriced is so that I mugs like me don't buy them for all the wrong reasons. It's very misleading of Yamaha to call Tyros and Genos "Digital workstations" as they are clearly arrangers.
Its the reverb, its set higher on sounds on the Tyros 4 then the 5, You can turn down the reverb on the voices on the 4 and they will have that dryer but more realistic sound like the 5. But honestly I am like you, I prefer reverb, but some people do not.
This was a demo that certainly was much needed by many, and much appreciated. The organ sounds on Tyros 5 are so absolutely brilliant and very strong.
I liked the sounds from Tyros 4 better than the Tyros 5

Both of the sounds are perfect, only the color of sound is different
Thanks for this video, big difference with the audio styles

maybe it's my imagination or the tyros4 sound more live and open! exeption on the bluegrass intro.. even the Sax on t5 sounded more harsh to my ears
Tyros 4 sounds better for me!
agree
Very agree!!!!!Tyros5 is a child comparing with Tyros4....only the sound of t4 could satisfy me!

Styles better on 5, otherwise I would go with 4.
2:03 They should have put this voice on the PSR-SX600.
Personally I would go for the PSR-SX700 or SC900 as the SX600 doesn't have the 5 pin midi connectors.
First melody so good for my remix..
Hey guys is there any way to get more sounds for T4? Maybe Yamaha store?
tyros 4 sounds are with reverb effect vs tyros 5 are not reverb effect???
Yes. You got it.

tyros 3 or tyros 4 , it's only my opinion
Can anyone give me a step by step guide on how to download more songs from the Yamaha music site
Tyros 4 is cheap and best
What is this song with pop cha-cha+ flute?
Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White
buy the t5
Azért, ha a T4-re raksz be sample dob hangszíneket és azt szerkeszted a stílusba, akkor messze vastagabban szól.👍
Link thank you
Tyros 5 is the winner! Better styles, and more features.
Toril Susegg 😂😂😂😂😂

Tyros 4 hands down
Tyros 4 klinkt beter.
Tyros 4 is natural and worm. Tyros 5 is ....Korg sound.... Tyros 3 is the best . Tyros 4 is ok. Tyros 5 is a modest Korg.
Tyros is Korg Sound... You have no idea what you're talking about Sir.

2 Tyros 2 Good
3 Tyros 4 Ok
4 Tyros 5 Bad

tyros 5 has no creator voice. for me it's a half keyboard. bad mistake, meanwhile korg has his new pax3..bad mistake!
tyros 4 isn't better here it just shows the improvements made for tyros 5 ie organ world and audio styles
