I was in my first year at Mississippi State University when he was a pitcher for the Bulldogs. We can go any day, and he went too young, but Mr. Tanksley leaves behind a heck of a legacy.....one of a husband, father, and sacrifice for his fellow man. R.I.P.
i can tell that William was loved by his Country because not only people came to stand along the Highway but the Traffic on the other side of the Highway came to a Stop in Respect for William. well done and very Moving millions of People dont even know him and Yet they had alot of respect for the Firefighter who gave his life,he is one of the True Heroes. my heart and Respect goes to the Family and wish them the best.
Thank you for sharing. I saw this procession in Rockwall. What an honor it was to William Scott Tanksley! We thank him for his service to all of us.

REST in Peace Firefighter Patrick Wotlerman and we will never forget you and your family members.
Am I the only one bothered by the idea of letting in civilian vehicles into these kinds of motorcades?
