this may be the greatest guitar live performance i've ever seen, from clapton to malmsteen, from van halen to becker, from vai to loomis and everything in between... i always wonder why timmons isnt in a top ten rating of the best of all time, his groove, his phrasing and his compositions are absolutely outstanding even among the greatest, i always thought he deserved a place in their hall of fame :/
M47riX1 It's because Andy don't care about being famous. This guy is so humble... I'm not saying that Vai, Satriani or Van Halen are cocky but they are more "Showmans" than him. Andy is just straight forward, he come on stage and play with his soul, this is just what i want from a musician. Andy is an awesome person, i had the chance to see him live in France in March and that was intense ! My all time favourite guitarist, with Guthrie Govan.
M47riX1 Well, there's Zappa's Black Napkins on Baby Snakes (Halloween Palladium), and Hendrix at Woodstock - but this deserves to be in their company. This is a masterpiece.
MartinBergnerGuitar in a dvd of his, he added a security cam kind of recording, from the studio they were recording this, so he says it was kind of late and it was missing the lead guitar track so he just wanted to jam along the backing track just to sense what they were going to do the next day. So they just plugged a zoom fx processor, the guitar, and he played along, just making one brief pause to correct a mistake... that recording came out so well that it stayed the same for the final mix, so yeah, this piece is 100 improvised... this guy is from another planet, and this night was on fire, I suggest you look up the full concert and jam along paul Gilbert and steve vai, I know it's not about winning but he wipes the floor with them that night.
Kappa plus his tone is just amazing, the subtle nuances here and there, and lastly his phrasing is sublime. I’ll pick this seven days a week over any Govan stuff!

+Rahul Biswakarma Exactly!
Lindo isso! A junção perfeita de feeling e técnicas bem legais!
Great performance, I've been back stage with him Guitar Fest 2004 Spain Tour... Never forget
The tastiest rock instrumental ballad ever written. Love every bit of this. Thanks, Andy
Awesome song writer. When you don't use vocals its 10x's harder to make a whole song out of soloing unless you are an amazing writer, which he is.
Gun Sam hey yeah... Andy is so musical.
Well said
Unless you are Earthless which is half an hour of soloing and is the best.
Excelente performance!
Doctor : You only have 5 minutes left to live
Me : Could I please add another 2 mins and 17 seconds so I can die happy :)
All jokes aside, I am blessed to be a part of the small community that knows of this man’s existence. The rest of the world is truly missing out on the gift this legend has to offer🙏
Notice Andy for almost 20 years. Watching Cry For You in this version for almost no lie like 50+ times. Saw this video since it’s been released in half year. Andy got all the touching, grooving , innovations, languages, feelings and a guitarist’s True Tone. Hoping I can watch him play Live once.... and many other masters’ play, too. Guess....I , Can distinguish if it’s his play. Listening is crucial in guitar playing. Thanks Andy. Let’s keeping playing like that. Jam it.
The most emotional and powerful instrumental song there is! Andy gave all of his heart.
im crying, thx andy, you know how to do it. MASTERPIECE!
He's as real as they get....true feeling here ppl
Still watching 2022.
Who's with me?
Wow!!! What a passionate and soulfully played piece of music. I found myself closing my eyes involuntarily out of awe and wonder. You just know when a gifted musician is expressing his love for music for the sheer joy of it. Nothing pretentious here.
Must have watched this video a hundred times over the years and I’m still amazed by that tone and the feel he puts in 👌
Cudne !!! Przepiękne !!! Genialne !!!
