You are quite correct. The Milan, Italy version is my nominee for second place :) Not better, but different. Then again, really astonishingly he always plays it differently, always, and never suffers for the changes. F'in genius.
Pedro Pazmiño I've witnessed him doing this live 3 times, the 2nd time he completely blew us away and the entire venue was silent and filled with the emotion on display here :) But don't forget Simon Philips here! Great interpretation by him as well!

I'm currently working on this song, and whenever i say the song i play matched with live version or other covers, i try to play with the original one and i notice absolutely tabs or most of the other covers are on this tune. They are different...

Starting with bop jazz in the '50s, fluent musicians began to play a type of vocal line in their tunes....a sax solo might be much like the lyrics, then the improve portion would mimic scat singing. I hear a vocal line in a lot of this...
That beautiful three-note pattern he plays at 6:30 is the same we hear from Steve Lukather on his fabulous solo on Brothers Johnson's song I Want You. So lovely.

This is a great performance to just get out of the comfort zone. When I think I am doing a good job on my playing, I just watch this video again to remind the peace of shit I am and then just trying to continue to improve
