It's a good thing you remarked that Ukrainian may lack learning material and decided to do something about it. I think more people that can do the same with other less favoured languages should do the same. [Cantonese, Taiwanese, Kurdish, ... need more ressources quantitatively and qualitatively

Your husband is correct about the tattoos, I am sure you are a patriot ( a person who loves there country) but you do not know what the future may hold. I once believed in my government being honest. But I do not hold that belief any more, things will change with time and they will not always be good changes. I hope that your country wins this war and that you celebrate this victory for many generations because in war there are no winners, both sides loose.
I understand you Inna. I am not a teacher, I'm actually a chemist, but I decided to help Ukrainian refugees with Italian language. I have to teach them in Russian, because most of them speak only Ukrainian and Russian, but it's hard . It's hard for me, because italian grammar is very complicated and I sometimes don't remember how to say words or explain concepts in Russian.

Inna, that is so endearing to hear how your husband wants to keep you safe. One can see why he does what he is doing now, he has a good heart, bless him. Being an introvert is a good thing in many ways, and I think where teaching is concerned, it makes the teacher more approachable; which is far more beneficial for the students. I love the way you present your TH-cam videos on the Ukrainian language. They are very well thought out and uncomplicated. Mostly I like your clarity from the oral language perspective. Ukrainian is such a quickly-spoken language, and you slow it down nicely to a fair pace; which makes it so much easier to connect what we hear with what is written. That may just be my personal preference because of how my logic works. My theory is that as children, we first learn to speak before we learn to read and write the language we have become accustomed to. I love that you followed your bliss and are on a career path that brings you so much joy. I encouraged my own children to do what makes them happy to earn a living because we have to work (almost) daily for many years!!! Secondhand is cool, it's healthier for the environment these days... plus, I really like your Summer dress on you, it suits you well... and I like green so I am biased)) I hope you giggled, when you watched this back, as much as I did in watching it. The gentleman and the child making an appearance made you show off your fabby high cheekbones that we with Ukrainian genes are often blessed with. My first language is English, I'm an American but I've been speaking Spanish, French, German since middle school and some Italian. Slavic languages are phonetically (and alphabetically) more challenging. What I have been learning, really since 2014, is that I can identify with Ukraine culturally. Outside of a language barrier and the unfortunate geographic proximity Ukraine has with Russia, it's the color of the sky, landscapes, buildings, the people, your clothes, the lifestyle is almost interchangeable with what I've known my entire life in California. The grassy hill you're sitting on looks just like one I know in Leucadia, my beachside home town. By the way that's a very pretty dress, and your nail polish is èn pointe Inna! Andy, the Ukrainian landscape also resonates with me. I live a little south of you, same county, semi-coastal. To me, our region has a very distinctive color of blue sky and no matter where I travel, I know that color when I return. I thought that I was seeing things in terms of colors when watching other videos of Ukraine as the summer approached. Not to mention that some of the Ukrainian countryside looks like our own backcountry open areas in the spring. But looking at the sky in Inna’s video and your comment made me realize I wasn’t seeing things! It brings home that although we are thousands of miles apart, we indeed share the same sky with Ukraine. Dear Inna, please know that my thoughts and actual prayers are with you, your husband and your family. I hope you can go home soon!

A person who is about to get a bachelor degree is still an undergraduate student. A completed bachelor degree is a prerequisite for postgraduate studies.

(when I say "native language" I mean the language people actually speak most often in daily life, not which language they consider to be their historic language.) When living there, did you mostly use Ukrainian in your daily life? (with friends, family, at work, school, in public etc.) I'm also curious to know about how common it is these days for Ukrainians who spoke Russian before the war to now start switching to speaking Ukrainian in daily life. Is this a common phenomenon these days? That would be an interesting subject for a video actually, to discuss with people who have switched to Ukrainian about why, how, was it difficult, etc. Anyways, thanks for your content. Thank you for sharing! I’m an introvert also, and I have had to learn to teach classes for my job. I’m more comfortable speaking in front of people now, but I still hate recording lessons! Talking to a camera that doesn’t give feedback is so awkward. Sometimes I get my colleague to come in and be my “audience” 😄
