As a Duet owner, the only thing that makes me envious is the magnet holding it together when closed. That is the only thing that annoys me about the Duet - and the only thing to me that makes it feel less premium...

This looks very similar to Lenovo Chromebook. Also, both of them use mediatek chipsets and have a good battery life as well. Quite competitive.

I feel like chromebooks and mediatek processors go hand-in-hand. Plus this asus device has a really good set of specs and a long battery life as well.

@AmSatt Bist du mit dem Duet Chromebook immer noch zufrieden? Ich hab teilweise starke Performance Probleme. Der Touchscreen reagiert zeitweise nicht auf Eingaben und das Gerät hängt sich im Standby auf, wenn mehrere Tabs geöffnet sind.
Und als Tablet passieren häufig Fehleingaben auf Grund der dünnen Displayränder.
Ich habe auch einige Probleme. Die Leistung ist etwas schlechter geworden und manchmal hängt sich das Gerät auf. Es kann sein, dass es mit Chrome OS zu tun hat und mit Featureupdates könnte es besser werden.
Hallo AmSatt, eine kurze Frage: Hast Du beim Lenovo Duet evtl. auch gelegentliche Aussetzer bei der Bedienung mit den Fingern festgestellt? Wenn ich das Touchpad benutze oder mit der Tastatur schreibe, kommt es häufiger vor, dass das Duet auf die ersten darauffolgenden Displayberührungen nicht reagiert. Läuft Dein Exemplar trotz Displayschutzfolie in dieser Hinsicht problemlos, oder gibt es da auch manchmal Beanstandungen? Danke für die interessanten Videos!

Ist bei mir auch so. Am Anfang war es bei Spotify so, dass der Touchscreen nach ca. 20 Sekunden immer „eingeschlafen" ist und ich erst einmal drüber wischen oder mehrfach tippen musste. Habe das Gerät dann eingeschickt und danach war das Problem erst weg aber inzwischen habe ich wieder häufiger Probleme mit dem Touchscreen aber es ist kein klares Muster mehr erkennbar, wann es Auftritt. Ich weiß auch nicht ob Lenovo damals mein Gerät repariert hat oder ob ich ein Austauschgerät bekommen habe.
Es ist echt nervig und lässt das Gerät langsamer wirken als es ist, weil es teilweise erst nach mehrfachem Tippen reagiert.
Meiner Meinung nach ist das ein Software Problem.

Gibt es die Probleme, wenn du das Gerät mit einem USI Pen bedienst auch, oder könnte das ein Workaround sein?
@@amsatt Danke Dir! Genauso sieht es bei mir auch aus. Ich habe in Foren gelesen, dass es ohne Displayschutz wohl besser sein soll, aber dann geht man das Risiko ein, sich mit Stift und aufgelegter Tastatur den Bildschirm zu zerkratzen. Alles nicht ganz befriedigend.
@@larsmuller5541 Es hieß in den Foren auch, dass sich mit den Software-Updates über die Zeit graduelle Besserungen ergeben hätten.

das system ist leider nicht so flüssig. In naher Zukunft werden wir noch leistungsfähigere Chrome-Geräte sehen.

This is one about on par with S6 Lite performance wise. The Mediatek 8183 is just very very slightly above the Exynos 9611 in S6 Lite. Chromebook is huge and way better than Android even with DeX.
I agree, Chrome OS has an enormous potential to make Android Tablets obsolete
@@amsatt I also want to emphasize that MediaTek 8183 is more powerful than Helio P60T. Something that I failed to address in my original post. Although they use the exact same G-72 Mali MP3 GPU, the CPU cores in CM3 are about 40% faster. This means CM3 should be much more responsive and better for multi tasking than Duet.
@@wizardscrollstudio Not sure if that's true, my benchmark results were also similar for both devices. Please have a look to the comparison video
@@amsatt Benchmarks are syntetic and results can be a mixed bag depending on how well a system is supported, system updates, how you are testing etc. If your findings were true then should be consistent with other reviewers but they are not. My Next Tablet found CM3 is just slightly faster than Duet that contradicts your findings. It would make sense because MediaTek 8183 core is 40% faster than P60T. Since both systems are pretty much equivalent and even use the same GPU it could be that Asus board build is less efficient or the SoC is not properly supported. This difference may in fact become more apparent with future updates.
I had a Lenovo duet. Returned it after 1 day. The performance was too sluggish for me I wish someone would make a more powerful Chromebook tablet. I really like having desktop chrome on a tablet and the integration with my Pixel phone
I feel you. I also struggle sometimes with the poor performance. Especially when you turn on the device.
Can’t wait for more powerful Chromebook Tablets.
The Pixel Slate is still, potentially worth a gamble.
