Haha after a few hot bug infested trips that don’t produce much, it gets ya a little excited to put a few fish in the kayak.

Great video. Good to see some NC folks catching some big ones. Anyone know what river this is? Im new to catfishing, dont have all the fancy gear or a fancy boat, but I def want to get out there and chase some of these monsters. Just don't know any good rivers in NC.

What trolling motor are you using with your frontier. I want to get something that I can spot lock with? What battery do suggest as well? Thanks for another great video!

Motorguide xi3. I have a dakota 54 amp and a amped outdoors 60amp. Generally just carry one with me unless it’s a really long trip. I can get 7-8 miles on a charge running wide open. If im just trolling then I can go the entire day on a single battery. Also, those batteries are small and light enough that I can put one in my front hatch so no long or crazy wiring needed for the motor.

@@nccatfishing thanks man! I do a lot of drifting out of mine here in Texas. But I want to be able to anchor as well. I have a 2.5 Suzuki 4 stroke on my frontier for long runs when gator gar fishing and I use to access my drifting spots for cats. Going to bite the bullet and get a trolling motor as well. Won’t use them at the same time but options are great!🤣thanks for your response and loving your content. I do a lot of different species salt and fresh here in Texas if you’re intrested in checking it out. Thanks man

@@KillerBeeOutdoors I think you’ll be glad to have the trolling motor. I can’t imagine not have it at this point. Makes kayak fishing so much easier and in your case the best of both worlds can’t be beat. Yeah I’ll check you out. You guys have a pretty awesome fishery down there.
